37 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 08/04/2019

2018 Nissan Rogues automatic braking feature engages without warning under normal driving conditions with no threat of emergency. Automatic braking has brought the car to a full stop at over 30mph creating a major safety concern. Currently the sensor at fault is only being repaired under warranty at 2k$. The condition has happened on the highway at highway speed, on heavy inclines, and can be replicated in parking garages with heavy slope. I can recreate this issue with parking garage inclines at any speed and have video documentation.

39 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/15/2019

Traveling at 70 mph on i45, temperature in the 90's and high humidity. Suddenly, the console started to blink and beep with a warning tone, had to cross 3 lanes at high speed, as fast as possible to take the first exit available. I had no idea what to expect. Early that day, while parked at the beach, the car turn off by itself, I turned the ignition key and it started immediately, but we decided to go home. Believe me, reducing the speed would had caused an accident, but crossing the lanes that fast was really scary and dangerous. Meanwhile, my husband started to hyperventilate and we both were shaking. It was an extremely dangerous situation. I entered a parking lot, did not turn off the car and told my husband that dying for a car was not worth it, that we were safe, but I was trembling. Now, what to do? the event stopped as suddenly as it started, we decided to push forward and try to make it home 49. 1 miles away. We arrived home and the event did not happen again. I don't know if it is an electric or electronic problem.

41 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/01/2019

While driving on a sunny day on a city street my car suddenly slammed on the brakes while driving under a highway overpass. It did this on it's own in clear weather while in motion. It appeared the car reacted on it's own to the shadow of the highway I was about to drive under. There was no car in front of me and I in fact was about to accelerate to make a left turn after going under the overpass. The car brakes suddenly when going into the shadow of the overpass. It startled me and my automatic reaction was to switch my foot to the brake and when I did I could feel the brake was already depressed all the way to the floor. The car briefly stopped and then the brake let up and I then could continue driving a couple seconds later. It was scary and dangerous. Someone could've been behind me and hit me. I was rattled for 30 minutes afterward. I am unsure of the exact date this occurred but I gave the best estimate I could down below.

42 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/28/2019

I was driving up a ramp in a parking garage, nothing in front of me or in my cross way, the vehicle slammed on it's brakes by itself. Thankfully I was not driving fast and the car behind me was able to also slam on their brakes to avoid hitting me. I've driven this parking garage numerous times over the almost 2 years of owing this vehicle without this happening before. My dealership (mcgrath Nissan in elgin, illinois) told me this was normal and I should only be concerned if it happens on an open road. This is a safety issue in my opinion and should not be shrugged off by Nissan.

43 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/23/2019

I was driving two hours straight at around 65mph. Suddenly the vehicle lost rpms. I tried to give more gas, but it would not go above 2000 rpms. This was very dangerous as people were passing me left and right at about 65mph and I couldn't go faster than 20. I couldn't get off to the side of the road. I pulled over. Turned off the Rogue, turned back on. Still had the issue. There were not warning lights. I let the car sit for about 30 mins. Suddenly it was working again. I drove it home. Thinking the issue to be a computer fluke, I had the issue again the following week on another 2 hour drive. Same issue. This time I called Nissan. They told me my VIN does not fit the recall for the other Rogues of the same year that are having this issue. I'm guessing because NHTSA does not list Nissan Rogue select. They only have Nissan Rogue on the list. I wrote in select on my own. I looked up the part issue for the Rogue cvt issue. It's the same part in the Rogue select. As long as I drive under an hour I'm fine. But this is very unrealistic and very unsafe. I have a video of the whole thing. This site doesn't allow video uploads.

44 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/17/2019

I was driving on the highway through a puddle that was larger than normal but nothing my car couldn't handle and it just stopped. Luckily no one was going super fast behind me but the aeb kicked in and the car stopped dead in its tracks.

45 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/17/2019

The car on multiple occasions has randomly braked (grinding like brakes) with the dash lights flashing. I've taken it in to get "fixed" only to have the exact same thing happen again. Now service is telling me that they don't see any programming issue. It's startling as it continuously happens in the parking lot, going about 5 mpf, of my work which is on a decline downward into the lot. More concerning and scary is the fact that this happened going 65 mph on the highway. The weather conditions were fine and there was absolutely no reason for the braking.

46 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/13/2019

Bought 2019 Nissan Rogue sport brand new only 12 miles. Less than 1 week later, malfunction warning popping up regarding aeb and collision alert system. Has occurred 3x in just the week while driving.

47 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/03/2019

In parking garage the emergency stop engages every floor while going up the ramp and also finding a parking space. Speed will be 15mph or lower and will cause the breaks to slam potentially causing a wreck everyday I work in the area due to all the cars being so close together.

48 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/29/2019

I was accelerating to merge onto an expressway today, and my acceleration cut out in my vehicle. My vehicle lost all acceleration and coasted to idle speed. I was luckily able to move off the expressway at idle speed, but I may have not been so lucky in another scenario. I also noticed that my brake lights stay on sometimes when the car is off or the pedal is not pressed. The car seems to think the brakes are engaged and will not allow any acceleration. I found this TSB for my vehicle that describes the exact issue I am facing. However, the TSB is inaccurate. It states there is "low power" when accelerating. There is actually "no power. " the car does not accelerate at all when this issue is encountered but will coast to idle speed. This issue puts the driver's life at risk, as well as others on the road, and should result in a full recall before people die. This complaint is in regards to the classification and inaccuracy of the following TSB, which should be classified as recall and corrected to reflect the vehicle losing all acceleration. Nhtsa id number: 10075096 manufacturer communication number: ntb15-113.

51 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/22/2019

On 4 different occasions, the automatic braking has engaged for no reason while I have been driving. Luckily each one of the times I was not driving freeway speeds. Also, countless times I get an error message saying that something is obstructing the sensor, but there are no obstructions. This has got me worried and dont feel safe.

52 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

53 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 05/20/2019

The automatic emergency braking system is engaging when there is not even other cars in front of my moving vehicle. I have taken the vehicle in twice for the same issue in less than 30 days. The first time it was taken in on 5/23/19. They said that a code c1a16-54 popped up stating the radar sensor needed to be realigned. Asked whether the vehicle was now safe to drive. Service personal said that it should be okay. I asked what would happen if it happened again. Told me to bring vehicle back and and that they would probably replace the sensor since they were having some issues with some of the sensors. Driving home on 6/19/19 the aeb system engaged again with no traffic near me. Took the vehicle in again on 6/21/19. After driving the car and checking for any codes, the service person stated that there was nothing wrong with the aeb and it was working properly. The car is a safety issue. I'm not comfortable driving the car as I never know when it will engage again and if anyone is following me that might not be able to stop in time.

Tamara recall . . . . The vehicle was turning left lane on a city street when a car came out of nowhere the sensors didn't beep & the airbags supposedly had been serviced or repaired by dealer but they never deployed & it was a frontal crash . While driving; a bug or some small object?? hitting the anti collision sensor will activate the brakes without warning usually when driving over 30 mph this has happened at least a dozen times at no set pattern.

58 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 04/18/2019

The side rear view mirror on the driver's side is either too big or in the incorrect location. Impossible to see the lane of perpendicular traffic can turn too deep very easily . Have adjusted the seat in variable ways to solve the problem ,no luck. #2 the pro piolot when it is turned on I have to fight the wheel going down a straight road i85. Eg. ) it tries to stray from one line to the other , like a snake going from one line on one side of the road to the opposite side of the lane. So I paid for an option I can't use. But the main thing is that big blind spot when turning left, yo have to look to the right side of the car and get has close to the right ,not still not knowing if your crossing the center line or left turn lane , this one big blind spot going coward, needs corrections, I've read many post on the pro &cons on the 2019 Nissan Rogue sv. Just an accident waiting to happen. The post that holds the windshield in is wide and bulcky too adding more problems with visibility. This car is so hard to see the traffick at an intersection. Thanks for lending an ear, hope you can help get the problem corrected.

59 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 04/04/2019

Braking system did not function causing vehicle to rear end car in front of me when I was in heavy afternoon traffic entering I-565 from a downward ramp from overpass over I-565. Minimum damage to Toyota highlander hit from rear. Significant damage to front end of Rogue. Undriveable. Towed to body shop!.

60 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

Over the last month, I continue to experience the front end collision crash sensor erroneously engaging, almost daily. I also get a front end sensor malfunction warning. The sensor was supposedly replaced twice by the dealership while under warranty, however, I still continue to have these errors pop up. I also hear, when backing up, a rubbing sound like the suspension is bad on the rear of the vehicle. I notified the dealership, but they told me there was no issue found. The driver's seat constantly squeaks, like something is lose underneath (like the bolts attaching it to the frame). There is also a squeaking noise that comes from the back of the vehicle. The dealership told me the sound was coming from the panaramic sunroof, and they tightened the bolts, however, the noise remains. Frequently water becomes trapped in the rear tail lights after getting a car wash. The lights are still functional, for the time being.

61 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/28/2019

I recently saw a complaint regarding "unintended braking due to the automatic emergency braking (aeb) system engaging with no apparent obstruction in the path of the vehicle. " I believe this exact thing happened to me going approx 50-60mph on the highway with no other vehicles in my path. Scared the crap out of me but it only lasted for a few seconds and has not happened again (yet). Date of occurrence is approximate.

Distance sensor malfunctioning. I have had to return it to the dealership three times for this issue. Without warning the car will slam on the brakes as if something was in its path.

64 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2018 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/09/2019

The automatic emergency brake system engages when there is a clear road and no obstructions in front of or around the vehicle whatsoever. The most recent incident happened while the car was in motion on a highway going 45-50 mph - the aeb system deployed and the car fully engaged the brakes in an attempt to stop. This was on an open road with no other vehicles or obstructions in the road or even in my direct line of sight. There are many others who seem to have reported this issue to their dealer's service dept. And have been told there is nothing wrong with the sensors. I live where ice is common - had this happened even traveling at a slower pace in bad road conditions, I could have spun out, slid into other traffic, into the ditch, etc. This is an extremely dangerous situation. . . It's a rear-end collision or even worse accident just waiting to happen.

65 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2017 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/05/2019

While the vehicle was in motion on both city streets and interstate highways the automatic emergency brake (aeb) has activated when there wasn't any traffic or obstacles present. At one time on the highway it almost caused an accident due to sudden and abrupt unneeded braking slowing the car unexpectedly nearly causing cars behind me to run into me. This vehicle behavior has occurred multiple times.

67 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 02/06/2019

I drove home a brand new 2019 Nissan Rogue sl awd from the dealer on a Friday night with 9 miles on it. I drove it on the highway to go skiing the following day and then on Monday evening (after 3 days of owning car and 362 miles), the engine malfunction indicator light went on. Called dealer and they said to bring in to look at it and also the Nissan connect email stated to open/close gas cap. After doing so, a couple of start/stops, the light did not come back on. I called dealer and said if it comes on, I will bring in but let's wait and see. On Wednesday (day 5 and 440 miles), I was commuting home from work and while in middle lane of slow moving traffic on a state highway, 6 malfunction indicator lights all went on and the car felt strange. As soon as I could, I got into the right lane and realized I had no acceleration as if the car felt like it was in neutral. I was able to coast over and into a nearby parking lot thankfully. I called dealer and they advised to call for road side assistance and tow to their dealership. I was given a loaner and have been working with Nissan consumer affairs. The car is still not repaired after 8 days of being in service department and them working with Nissan specialists. They believe they found the electrical connection issue and are still working through it and will test but I do not feel safe getting back into this vehicle after having an engine failure that could have resulted in serious injury or worse.
