The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that a few months after she purchased the vehicle, she noticed an abnormally strong gasoline odor inside and outside the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was inspected, but no failure was found. The contact stated that the odor became extremely strong. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where the contact was informed that the manufacture was aware of the issue; however, there was no remedy, and that the cause of the odor was due to the winter gasoline blend. Failure Date: 02/21/2023

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while pulling out of the driveway, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle made an abnormal sound while pulling into the driveway later that day. The vehicle was taken to a local pep boys, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the emission and the fuel system. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the dealer informed the contact that the parts were on back order. 4 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2021 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 02/08/2023

The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start, causing the contact to jumpstart the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer who stated that the alternator had failed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the brakes erroneously activated, and vehicle independently stopped. The contact stated that the taillights would blink, and the radio would turn on independently. There were no warning lights. The contact took the vehicle to another dealer who diagnosed that there was an engine wiring harness that had been damaged by water, corrosion, and partly melted. The wiring harnesses needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact of the failure was also related to NHTSA campaign numbers: 21v957000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 21v068000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph the vehicle began to shake violently and there was a loud throbbing noise from the engine. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle off the roadway and stopped. The contact had turned the vehicle off and waited for about 20 minutes before restarting and placing the vehicle in drive (d). The contact stated the vehicle had gained forward momentum very slowly and hesitated as she depressed the accelerator. The contact's husband examined the vehicle and saw that a fuel line under the vehicle had burst and was leaking gasoline. The contact stated they did not move the vehicle again. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer, but the contact had recently had the same dealer repair a failure of the fuel line. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 19,200.

13 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2009 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 12/24/2013

While exiting the interstate the car jarred to a stop. When we tried to accelerate at the green light the engine revved but would not move. When we pressed the accelerator all the way the transmission caught and the car struggled to go 5 miles an hour- jarring all the way. We barely made it to a parking lot before it died completely.
