This car has to recall : cvt recall and fire hazard recall I was driving the car to the stadium and sitting on a traffic not even driving all the sudden the gas pedal stopped responding so the car does not drive even when I accelerate. I had to pull over open the hood then wait 20 minutes while trucking on the way I decide to try again then the car run. I took the car to a Nissant dealership to be told that they cannot fix it because the title is branded.

Heat shield over muffler fell of vehicle (from corrosion of bolts and nuts) exposing rear cargo area (contains spare tire and other components) to excessive heat.
At 135,000 miles, this car should not have transmission failure. The constant variable transmission is defective and should be eligible for recall.

There is a safety recall on my vehicle. It could possibly catch fire.
I've had nothing but problems with my suspension and here in the past week or so I've been smelling like wires are either getting to hot or wires actually burning.

Air bag horn cruise control-no major accident. . . Got air condition fixed and shortly after my horn stopped working but it works if my panic button is pushed. Horn doesn't work when I lock the car. The cruise control and bluetooth stopped working and airbag light is on one after the other. I was told it was a clockspring and it's 1000 dollars to replace and is a 2. 00 part . Vehicle isn't worth anything with an airbag light on. Then the bushings are shot and control arm cost 2500 to replace. I thought Nissans were good cars use to have a 1989 Nissan truck and had four maxima's, ran forever. The dealer offered me 4000 for it(not knowing the airbag light is on and bushings are bad) but blue book value is like 6-8000 and if you try to buy one it's 15000 for used one. Only has 130000 miles on it should last longer especially the control arm. Not to mention I would need an alignment after bushings are done getting close to 4000 in repairs. Why isn't my model included in the airbag repair? why does Nissan put cheap bushings on their cars? why don't they sell just the bushings ? rip off should last another 100000 at least. Never buying another Nissan. . . Sad part is the car runs great except suspension, not worth repairing for 4000.

Awd lock kicking on by its self while driving. Catilac converter issues.
Vehicle while on expressway would loose power on and off. This cause for serious accident conditions. Transmission yellow warning light appeared on next day. Had vehicle towed to dealership and they confirmed there was an issue found extreme hesitstion entering gear or changing gear. From multiple codes p0841 fluided press sen/sw a. P17f0 cvt judder. Also, found front sway bar link loose and replaced. And, tie rods had to be replaced also because of being loose. Previously I also had to have the control arms replace twice. This is unacceptable. Beside that my vehicle was in shop from 8/9/2021 thru 8/26/202. Without even to have rental car provided. Except for 2 days.
Vehicle has had 2 wheel alignments in the first 2500 miles the car drifts pulls off the road the steering is loose vague no sense of contact with the road. Rear cross alert not function almost got hit by cars moving behind me. Not sure if other safety systems even work. The tires maybe defective too.

Nissan subframe design is very unsafe. They have manufactured a common problem in añmost alll Nissan . , the front subfrane washers are hold in the subframe under pressure. , bad bad idea thats not safe . Tires and suspensin are subject to maximun vibration and hits by the road and those washers can not hold those impacts. . Time make look them fool, decadent ,unsafe because they come out of place one by one come out from the subframe . ,the result is lost of wheel control. ,. Trac system on . ,limb mode transmissiion actives . My car makes sudden pulls . . ,to right or left . . ,I must be very careful cars both sides of me not to hit them . ,the cost to repair this horrible manufactired problem border $2000 . , I must take all precautions necessary to avoid accidents on my only vehicle. And not hurt my family.

I was informed by a Nissan dealership over 3 years ago that both inner tie rods on my 2017 Nissan Rogue have play in them. The vehicle had less then 30,000 miles on it and was never in an accident nor was it ever driven off roads. They told me it would cost over $2,000. 00 to make the repair because the tie rods were part of the power steering rack. In other words to replace the inner tie rods they had to replace the power steering rack as well. The vehicle was manufactured in korea. I complained that this failure in the tie rods had to be a manufacturing defect but Nissan refused to cover the repair because my three year new car warranty expired. I just recently read that the NHTSA in August 5th of 2024 began an investigation on this matter with the 2021 model year Nissan Rogue SUV. I believe this matter is just not for the 2021 model year but at least model year 2017.

The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormally loud sounds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the lower control arm bushings and the front driver's side shocks were faulty. The lower control arm bushings and the front driver's side shocks needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not included in any recalls and that the suspension was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
Shocks and struts sound as if they are coming loose and when braking a load metal clanking sound can be heard. It started early November 2020 and occurs on a daily basis.
Unknown. Believe my car has been in a accident and not reported. Jenkin Nissan found the passenger front sub frame cracked bent. I financed my car from hgreg. Called them multiple times because I kept loosing air in my tire. Progressive refuse to let me do a claim since I wasn't the one who had the accident Nissan Rogue 2020.
I purchased finance my car July 2024. Took it for an oil change and tire rotation. Jenkin Nissan came upon a crack damage and bent front sub frame. Im am being told I should not be driving my car. I took it to hgreg twice. Because I was loosing air in my passenger tire. They told me there was a nail in it. Hut never plug it. They zip tie the bottom where everything was hanging. My 5 days was up. For me to return my vehicle.
2019 Nissan Rogue sl seats move when stopping the vehicle or accelerating. Took to Nissan cannot duplicate the problem but every passenger that rides in my car feels the seat move and make noise. Sunroof makes a creaking noise Nissan won't fix says can't duplicate the problem. When car is on uneven ground back end makes a creaking noise. Again Nissan said cant duplicate the problem. But whoever I take in my car asked me what is that noise? this car is a piece of crap!.
Unknown. I bought my SUV 3 months ago jenkin Nissan awarel me of a crack and bent front sub frame. It was never reported to carfax. I purchased and finance my car though hgreg.
2 power doorlocks don't work. Horn doesn't work. Cruise control doesn't work. Airbag light flashing . Air conditioning went off same day airbag light started flashing. Just started it up.
Vehicle begins to shake roughly when going 55mph or more. The wobble even made my seatbelts lock up. Seems to be coming from around the tires maybe the suspension. The suspension looks just fine, didnt seem loose, yet at highway speeds feels very dangerous! nothing noticeable while driving through town.

The tires ere wearing unevenly I was told they could not do rotation uneven tire wear took in doer inspection and discovered the problem was the rack and pinion /inner/outer tie rods uneven.
Wheel berring -.
The underside feels like it has become unstable took it to mossy Nissan and they said vehicle transmission system was unstable and they fixed it. But ran okay for a month after having 4 rotors resurfaced. Car feels unsaf.
The contact rented a 2019 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 6 mph and making a right turn, the front passenger side axle fractured. As a result, the driver lost control of the steering and crashed into a parked vehicle. The driver sustained muscle spasms and an injured back. Medical attention was not received. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The vehicle was not diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 1,656.
I have had the car for 13 days, I was driving thru a parking garage, going less than 10mph, the auto braking system engaged for no reason. Slamming the brakes on the car, hard, and several warning alerts went off. Dealership says the computer isnt showing anything. Also, something was/is going on with the rear axle (weird clunking sounds when I turn) dealer replaced "something" but hasn't given me a full explanation of what it was and didnt ask my permission to work on the car.
The 2016 Rogue sl awd makes a popping noise when making sharper turns in either direction such as when pulling into or out of parking spaces. It also does it when backing out and cutting the wheel. The car is low mileage and should not have this type of issue.
About a year ago (2018) my car started occasionally losing power after I had stopped at a light or stop sign after driving on a city street or getting off the highway. I would push the gas pedal and my car would not move until about 5 seconds later. If I keep driving while this happens, eventually the car will not go over 40 mph, the rpms will go up to 4k-5k and the engine will rev without gaining speed. It will then start lurching forward and jerking back and forth. I finally figured out that if I stop and then restart my car, the issue subsides. However, this issue has started happening more and more frequently. I would estimate driving the car for an hour, it will happen 7-8 times (when turning the car off, then on again). It makes driving dangerous when I am not able to accelerate when needed or when my car is jerking uncontrollably. My struts also keep squeaking when I go over speed bumps or any other bump. The dealer repeatedly tells me it's a known issue but nothing that needs to be replaced since it's not a safety issue.
If this feedback goes to main corporate I will be glad to share my experience. I have been trying to get a better service from Nissan. Bought my new Nissan 2017 on December 29th 2017 and I have been to the service department several time in 2018 and 2019 and for a proof you guys can access the repair log. Every time they have been changing parts and I feel that this car is has recall or they have sold me the worst defective one. After talking to warranty department as it has been 14000 miles service due, requested them also to provide appraisal. It was devastating and upsetting on talking to the sales director he has appraised my car $17000 , as I have paid $31000 less than 15k miles asked him how come that upsetting price. He told me thats what they can offer. Learned lesson that Nissan cars are the worst and they have no value even though the car is brand new less than a year model. Never ever recommend to anyone.
After purchased used the light for the driver's seat belt would not go off. Finally got that fixed. Then had to replace front struts. No car will not accelerate from stop without pedal all the way down and it is delayed, same for in reverse.

Loud metallic popping sounds when turning either hard left or right. Sounds like it's coming from strut mount area.
Driving on a busy expressway, there was suddenly a loud clanging under the chassis. I started driving slowly and again there was an extremely loud banging against the chassis. Pulled of the expressway when the car suddenly started slowing down. When I started to pull into the first minimall I could find, the car started moving backwards and none of the gears would work. Could not take my foot off the brake as the car continued to go reverse into traffic. Finally after getting assistance from several people helping me get the car into the parking lot, I was able to be towed to my garage, where it was discovered that the drive shaft had broken off, knocking off a piece of the od sensor and then knocked out the exhaust pipe which then snapped off the shift assembly cable and all the gears. My mechanic has never seen anything as bad as this. The car is completely undriveable and I shudder to think what could have happened to my family and myself as we could have been killed. Currently my car is still at the mechanic's where he is waiting for a decision from me as to what to do with the car which will cost $3,000 to repair which is what the trade value is on the car and what the car was worth. Now it is junk.
Bought car from win motors today; took to mechanic next door. . Said it was okay; when asked for receipt for testing mechanic said he did not do that. Car drove fine until I got home and when I moved from street into driveway, I heard grinding noise on brakes , but more importantly, when shifting gears a loud sound of straining; paid cash for used car. Really hope I can resolve with 2 day return.
