When recently driving my 2024 Nissan Rogue on(7/4), I noticed and felt knocking and it seemed as something was loose in the wheel suspension on the front passenger side. I also experienced vibration in the steering wheel. It felt as if the suspension was coming apart. I pulled over to see if something was under the car, but there was nothing. After driving a couple of miles, it decreased but it still happens every now and then. I took it to the Nissan dealership for an evaluation. They checked it out but could only reproduce the knocking noise once, and it wasn't that severe so there wasn't anything that they could do. They checked the suspension and everything checked out okay. So I'm still driving my vehicle, but I don't feel 100% safe, because I don't want to be on the highway and this happens again. I feel that there is something wrong, but I guess it won't get fixed until it actually breaks. I wanted to report this issue in case any other Rogue owners experienced the same problem.

I noticed my back wheel making a rubbing sound. When I stopped vehicle I noticed the back tire was leaning. Thought it was wheel bearing. Had it replaced and tire still was leaning. After closer inspection the suspension trailing control arms had rusted into causing tire to lean. It was on rear driver side. After inspection the rear passenger was also rusted and the metal was split. My concern is that this has happened to more vehicles like this and tire has broken off causing or could cause injury. I would have not thought a major part of an automobile would rust this quickly.

Motor blew. No warning no nothing. Nissan will not do anything about it.
Both rear lower control arms are rusted thru and need to be replaced. Car has 113,000 miles but is only 10 yrs old, rust is severe enough that we were advised not to take long trips and to get it repair by dealer soon. Estimate is for $1400. 00 and the dealership is offering no help with the cost,.

We purchased a new 2023 Rogue last year. One year in, we have a failed upper transmission mount and both power struts on the tailgate. The dealer claims these are known issues but now recalls them. Now, we need to spend over $4,000 for a one-year-old car. I am surprised by the quality Nissan is currently using in their vehicles.
On interstate, the vehicle felt like it had a "float" feel and occasional shimmy while driving. Upon parking in town, stranger identified vehicle's driver-side rear wheel was not straight. Observation showed ground-contacting point of tire was angled outward from car. Diagnosis by both Nissan dealership and subsequent independent mechanic was extreme rust of undercarriage causing upper control arm to rust through and rot of the underside of car to the point of being "not salvageable" and non-fixable. This meant the rear wheel was wobbling while driving on the interstate and could have completely let go. This vehicle has been consistently maintained as a daily-driver and at only 59k miles, it was mentioned several times that the level of rust was extraordinary.

I was driving home when I heard a bump sound and the malfunction came up on the control panel, the steering wheel would not stay straight and I had to put it a little to the left to drive straight . I proceeded to go forward through the stop sign and turned left to get to the house and when I went to turn l=right to get in the driveway it felt like I had a flat tire all of a sudden. I put it in park and got out and the front right tire on the passenger side was facing out away from the car! I immediately called aaa to bring it to the dealership.

My 2016 Nissan Rogue shakes terribly when it goes over 60 mph. This has been happening for over a year. I have twice taken it to garages for repair, most recently this week. They replaced the axels but this did nothing and they told me they have been reviewing Nissan service bulletins. They said they know the year of my car has had numerous transmission issues. So as of now, I can't drive my car at a speed over 60 mph. I don't feel safe driving it but don't want to shell out more money for speculative solutions that probably won't work and will just cost me more money.
1) while the car is in a gear other than park, the key is able to be fully and completely removed from the ignition. 2) significant rollaway risk and in direct violation of § 571. 114 standard no. 114; theft protection and rollaway prevention. 49 cfr 571. 114. Specifically subsection 5 (s5) 3) no 4) no 5) no issues noticed, no warnings, lights, or other indications.
In September 2024 I too my car to bedford Nissan in ohio. They did an oil change and since then my car has been having issues. When reversing and switching into drive my car jerks extremely hard. I contacted them to let them know and they advised me to bring the car in to get it looked at. Due to my life situations, I was unable to do so at that time. In the beginning of October 2024 my car completely shut down. I was unable to shut it off with the push button or change gears. All of the lights on the dashboard came up. It took me almost 20 minutes for it to finally restart. I contacted Nissan immediately and they advised to bring it back to them. My 2023 brand new car already had a dead battery, faulty wires in the car, the screen goes in and out, and had an axcel leak. The supposedly fixed these issues. A few weeks later I am having the same exact problems. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs multiple times. I have reached out to the dealership. I do not get calls back or help to fix the issues that keep reoccurring.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 5-10 mph on a flat road surface, the contact noticed an abnormal shift in the rear suspension. The contact parked the vehicle. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the passenger's side rear wheel had shifted inward. The contact turned on the hazard lights and drove to the nearest dealer at slow speeds. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the passenger's side rear lower control arm was severely rusted and bent, causing the rear passenger's side wheel to shift inward. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

The left rear suspension arm has failed. This part supports the left rear tire and wheel assembly and its failure cause the left rear tire and wheel to tilt to about a 45 degree angle. The car was able to be safely stopped, although control was severely effected. Continued driving would likely have caused the tire and wheel to separate from the vehicle. See attached photo. It appears as if the rear suspension arm welds have broken and or the part has failed due to corrosion. It is a 2016 vehicle with only 105,000 miles. See attached photos. The last photo shows the right rear suspension link, undamaged, to illustrate the extent of degradation on the left side. The girard Nissan dealership in groton, CT informed me they have seen a number of cars with this problem, but there has been no recall. The provided a verbal order of magnitude estimate to repair the vehicle, based on photos, at $4,000 or higher.
Since purchase of the car. When driving on interstate speeds and when you hit bumps the ride seems to jolt a little seem like it’s going lose control.
1. Right front lower control arm broke yes available for inspection 2. Caused my vehicle to pulled to the right and could not steer straight and caused collision into parked car. 3. No not yet 4. No not yet 5. No.

At March 23rd, 2024, we have oil change on the car. The service sales came back to tell us that the front lower control arms' bushing is torn and needed repair immediately. Without repairing them, the wheels may disengage from the car. So we have them replaced, since losing the wheels during driving will cost our lives. This is for our safety. What can we do???!!! on conversation with the sales, he said this is a common phenomenon. Our problem on this is that, all the cars that we have owned, we never had the issue. This is the first time. Is this a common occurrence? we are not sure. And we simply can not understand why eight months ago during another oil change, this issue was not detected?! could this be a faulty component installed on the car, we questioned? we also contacted Nissan consumer affairs. Their specialist insisted our car is out of warranty. There is nothing they can do. Is this a responsible car manufacturer's response? at least, they should look in the issue and gave us a satisfying answer, we believed. Anyway, please look into this. On the parts that were replaced, dealership has them. We don't have them in our hand. Sorry about this. All and all, please look into the issue. We just want other Rogue owners spared of the issue! thank you for reading this and have a great day!.

I was driving the vehicle and stopped at a sonic drive thru. I shifted the car into park and I began to hear a very loud creaking noise. When I shifted the car into drive, the car wouldn’t move. I called a firestone mechanic and he concluded that it was the cv belt that is connected to the transmission. Regardless, only a transmission shop could handle this issue. I called carmax auto, and spoke with a jason hewitt. Mr hewitt informed me that carmax will have a tow truck come get the car. The following day, the car was towed by carmax to amaco for an official diagnostic. I was notified the following day that my vehicle had a damaged axle and appears to have been cause by a “car accident. ” mr hewitt told me to file a claim in my insurance. I told mr hewitt that most likely the tow company damaged my axle. He stated he didnt know what exactly caused it but they will not be able to address the transmission issue until this axle and converter is paid for. Additionally, I’ve had the car for 14 months and 6 months into my lease agreement, the check engine light came and stayed on due the catalytic converter. The air and heat stopped working in September of 2023.

In September 2023, my 2016 Nissan started vibrating with noise. It was not shortly after that a warning appeared on the console. The warning, "chassis control system error" caused research as the vehicle worsened. As I was driving, a warning of the brakes shutting down appeared. I returned home in time, and parked the vehicle. The truck was then sent to the mechanic where I was told that the transmission failed. The cvt failed at 83,000 miles. The vehicle is currently at a Nissan dealership service department, while I'm in the process of litigation with Nissan north America, inc. Nissan offered just $1500. 00 towards an estimated $6000 cvt repair bill. This problem is an extension of the 2022 class action lawsuit that needs to be re-established. Nissan manufactured the vehicles with the knowledge of the defective cvt and did not make the consumers aware of the defect. Nissan dealerships also needs to be held accountable for their knowledge of the fraudulent act of Nissan to the consumers. Dealerships sold the vehicles also with the knowledge of the defective cvt. Nissan manipulated the law with a bogus extended warranty that protects Nissan from having to correct the wrong.

[xxx] my car I just bought and financed was damaged. Carfax shows incident in waco TX. I financed my car 07/2024. Went and had my oil and tire rotation and found out my front sub frame is cracked and bent. This was never reported to carfax jenkin Nissan found the problem. . I attached the last owner on carfax where the incident happened information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Check engine light p0776 pressure control sol b. Recommend replace cvt unit due to internal failure. Mileage: 109,422 this vehicle was covered by the extended warranty to 84 months or 84,000 miles. It failed at 109. 422 miles. This is shocking and unacceptable and expensive! approximately $6,000 to repair/replace transmission which made the vehicle more costly than its trade in value. Repair estimate performed by south austin Nissan. Contacted manufacturer and was referred to the kbb class action website for information.
On Wednesday June 21st, I was driving home when a warning light came up on my vehicle. It said: warning chassis control error see owner's manual. I continued to drive until I reached my house. I wasn't hearing any noises or seeing any fluids, so I decided to look at the manual when I reached the house. I pulled into the driveway and my husband asked what was wrong with my back tire. He could see the tire on the driver side. It was leaning almost sideways. He looked under the car and said it had rusted off. It was completely broken off of the axle. I called aaa to have them tow it to a dealership to make the repairs. The tow driver looked under the car and stated that the passenger wheel was doing the same thing. My car has just a little over 100,000 miles on it. Everyone tells me that this should not happen, and it may be a defect issue. Now over a month later my car is still at the dealership because Nissan has no eta on when, if ever they will have a right control arm, part # 555014baoa. If they ever make one, I am still responsible for 5000. 00 on repairs. I am out of a vehicle; it has no trade in value. I work every day. I need a vehicle and I am stuck because Nissan won't supply a part. I truly hope someone will investigate this issue. If it happened to me, I'm sure it must have happened to other Nissan owners as well. If they're using defective metal parts, they should be held accountable. I was fortunate enough to make it home without and accident. If those wheels would have come off as I was driving, I could have been injured or killed, and other vehicles and their passengers could have met the same fate. I beg of you to please investigate this further.
Started noticing the difference with the vehicle around 7,000 miles while driving at different speeds traveling to and from work. It did get worse over time and at 17,000 miles it was at the dealer and they stated that no issues were found or present. Vehicle will have excessive sway / bounce and will dip to one side depending what imperfections you will drive over during the trip. I have no idea how they test the vehicles at the dealer as there is an issue with it when stated to the personnel but at the end it seems to be nothing wrong. Does it take an accident to happen with severe injuries nowadays to have them take something serious. As a service technician my self by bouncing the rear bumper downwards it seems very bouncy, indicating bad shocks. If dealer's technician cant seem to see this then I have no words beyond the quality of service people get once they purchase the vehicles.
When we turn to the left, there's a "popping" noise from the front suspension when the vehicle is turned back to straight the same pooping sound is made. I found a recall for this same vehicle but the years 2014-2016 (ntb15-062c).

The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, gerald Nissan of naperville (1575 w ogden Ave, naperville, IL 60540) who informed the contact that the shocks and another unknown part needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

VIN : 5n1at2mv7gc766843 phone number : 604-621-1143 name: asad qatlish email address: asadnassif18@gmail. Com incident: I have made a report earlier regarding my Nissan Rogue 2016 , the VIN is mentioned earlier. It’s been a safety issue driving the car as it becomes very hard to control ( loss of steering control) , loss of electrical features such as usb port , bad noise from the speakers when playing songs as there is a water drainage from the panorama roof ! the car been reported to abbotsford Nissan local dealership, spoke with Nissan also about the issue and no action was taken … as I’m a nurse , today I was driving to work , the car started to act weird while I was driving caused me to lose control while driving and there tire did hit the side of the road. . Causing it to be more misaligned. It's been reported to the local Nissan dealership as well as Nissan customer care that the car is unsafe to drive.
The cvt component on these cars causes it to lose power and acceleration which can cause an bad accident. . One morning while going to work I got onto the expressway and car did not want to acceleration and almost caused me to get into a collision with an 18 wheeler. . The next day I took it to an mechanic shop whereas they told me nothing was wrong with my car and I should contact Nissan and complain because the only problem they can guess is its my cvt and Nissan made the car to do that so it last longer. . Then 2 days later I was driving on a commercial road with lots of traffic when all of a sudden my car would not acceleration even when I pushed the pedal to the floor. . I pulled over and turned the car off for awhile and then crunk it back up and it was accelerating better. . So over the course of 5 months I have been having this problem with my car when I come to a stop or when I decelerate and then accelerate. . I did some research to find out what could be the problem and I came across a thread of other consumers that were having the same exact problem with the Nissan brand of cars and SUV's. . Even though they know this problem exists with their make and models they provide no solution other than spend more money on a car they designed with a defective transmission and/or other components. . This is a serious safety concern for anyone driving these cars or suvs from Nissan. .

The shoulder strap cuts across my neck. While I'm driving I have to take one hand off the steering wheel to push it down, only to have it slide right back up across my neck. Every time I hit a bump or pot hole, the strap cuts into my neck. There will be a serious injury if I'm in an accident. Also, the suspension is so bad on this car that I feel every bump, and pot hole, and my head keeps hitting the headset. I was told the headset cannot be adjusted. My passenger has long legs. The passenger seat will not go back any further so he sits with legs bent in cramped position. The visor when pulled down is right in my eyes. If I brake suddenly and my head goes forward, it hits my eyes. I will be seriously injured if in a car accident. On turns, especially if there's even a little water, the back wheels of this car skid.
Steering wheel locked up while vehicle was in motion (moving). Yes. Steering noise coming from steering column. Lost control of steering while driving, drove into oncoming traffic. I was injuried while trying to get my vehicle in control. Yes, grease was but onto the steering boot by the dealer and charged. The steering wheel stiffens from time to time. After my accident with the my vehicle the dealer charged me to grease the steering boot, problem is still present. Loud noise coming from steering column began around 25,000.
First issue: after starting the vehicle there can be a smell of gasoline in the passenger cabin for a little bit. Also after parking vehicle in garage and turning off engine, the garage smells of gas and remains overnight, it is not exhaust fumes. Sometimes it seems to be worse after driving in reverse. There is no sign of a liquid leak on the undercarriage or on the floor. Happens whether the gas tank is full or near empty. Vehicle is only 2 months since purchase. Second issue: the rear of the vehicle jerks sideways, usually toward the passenger side, when going over pavement joints, cracks or bumps. It is worse at highway speeds, but happens around town also. The rear of the vehicle doesn't seem to track straight when bumped. Took the vehicle to the dealer to check alignment and they said it was within specification and made no adjustments. The tire inflation is proper per the door jam. On some roads in bad weather it is a very uncomfortable feeling and feels like loss of control.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that the rear control arm and axle were rusted and had detached. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
The car driver side window door leaks water into the driver side floor near where the legs go. The floor is always wet has mold on it. Mirror above driver side has mold on it. Seatbelts throughout the car have accumulated mold on them. Behind the driver side that rug is wet soaked as well. The water has traveled to the left side of the vehicle is now getting moist. The trunk never shuts there’s an electrical issue with the wiring. As I drive the trunk opens and shuts not completely but unlatches allowing the trunk to swing open. The electrical issue with the trunk has drained my battery several times. The notification of the door door being open is constantly draining my battery. I have been stranded several times due to this electrical issue. As I drive the steering wheel tilt to the right I cannot control my steering. My steering wheel now looks like it’s out of place it’s like if I try to drive straight the car will go slight right. I have three toddlers who I need to drive to daycare in order to go to work to provide for my family. I do not feel safe driving this car. I went to a Nissan dealership informed them of all these issues in my concerns that I did not feel safe driving this car and they said there was nothing I could do about it unless I paid for the fix. As a consumer defect I do not feel I should be responsible for the manufacture errors.
