The part alone reportedly costs over $700. Nissan's shoddy parts are a significant safety issue and should be replaced by the company as they should last for at least 100,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2000 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle with the headlights activated, the headlights and the turn signal lights failed to illuminate. The contact also stated that while refueling, the vehicle fuel would spill out of from the fuel neck, although the fuel tank was not full. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.
