There are issues with the sensors. Specifically, the collision sensors. I have owned a 2022 Nissan Sentra for a few months now and multiple times have had the traction control malfunction warning, front collision sensor malfunction warning, and back collision sensor malfunction warning appear. In turn, this makes other safety features like the lane departure warning malfunction as well. This is a safety risk because first, the point of collision sensors is to minimize the risk of being in an accident. Second, if the sensors are corroding or have issues it can cause a fire or damage other aspects of the vehicle. I payed for multiple reports of the car. I assumed it was in an accident and the dealership did not disclose it. As the issue becomes more persistent it is clear that is what the car does. Malfunction.
Any time cruise control is used rear collision and front collision lights come on causing the car to not be able to be driven when using cruise control. Transmission is shifting way harder than it should. . Radio sometimes glitches.
The electronic steering control unit stops working while driving. This is dangerous and a known problem. The parts are on back order because all available supply in us is depleted. Also the front sensors for safety turn off in the rain.
The car applied automatic emergency braking for no reason. The speed at the time was about 20-25mph. This is around the fourth time this has happened since purchasing the vehicle about 10 months ago.
The pre collision system light kept turning on and off. Also alerting of a malfunction that the system was not working. This happened around Sep 7 2022. I took the car to a Nissan dealership on Sep 16 2022 and inspected. They found out that there was a problem with the system and according to them it was fix. I just want to bring this to your attention because doing some research some Nissan owners are having the same problem. In addition, I found out that none of the extended warranties dont cover any electrical system.
Safety features such as front crash detection and other preventative features fail when the interior of the vehicle gets gets hot (due to climate). Among safety the cruise control, radio and center display no longer operate. Unable to use bluetooth or any vehicle settings when the screen is completely black and nonfunctional.
My car continuously feels like it's going to stall out and actually has just sitting at a red light. With no warning the car just stalled on me. The throttle body has been replaced already, they reset my rpms a different time, and just replaced the entire transmission. It's a brand new 2022 Sentra and only had 14 miles on it when I bought it in March. I should not have had the transmission replaced already on a brand new car. Even with the transmission being replaced the car is still wanting to stall out. This makes for very unsafe driving and could lead to an accident as well. It also has acceleration issues when pressing the gas pedal it doesn't want to go then out of no where speeds up real fast. Very concerned and wondering if I'm ge only person with such bad luck to be the only car owner of a brand new Sentra having this problem with my car. It's been to the repair shop 4 times already and I will be going back less then a week later after having the transmission replaced. The forward collision sensor stops working when it's raining outside as well. That's the time you need it the most. It says it's been disabled and the sensor is blocked even though there is nothing blocking it.
On multiple occasions while driving, at traffic lights or stop signs, a light will come on the dashboard with a symbols including: place the key near the start switch --even though the car is already on and running; and other times the car will not start at all with the key next to the start switch; lower tire pressure - although the tires when check are not low at all; low fuel gauge -although I would have just put gas in the car; a phone number from a person that I already hung up from as still an on-going telephone call; forward collison sensor; rear auto breaking symbol; abs symbol, car crash symbol, warning symbol and words; master warning symbol and words, system malfunction, I took the car two both universal Nissan dealership where I bought the car and glendale Nissan dealership after the lights came on - they always said, the dashboard lights do not come on when I leave my car with them---they cannot duplicate my concern, however they would always clear out pass codes in the car computer systems, which indicates and verifies that the dashboard light was on and which symbol was displayed on the dashboard. No software update was ever offered to me, all things I complained about were consistently denied. Nothing was done to repair this electrical problem or glitch while my car was under warranty -prior to hitting 30,000;the drive car door will sometimes stick and will not open - I will have to exit on the passenger side. Universal Nissan car dealership lied and said I has body work done on the car and they charged me for checking the door. However a few months later glendale and carfax verified I had not ever had any body work done to this car! its cost me to miss work at uber (which is my main income!) for 45 days and have many anxiety attacks. I am paying for a car that is malfunctioning regularly (for nearly 2 years now from brand new at 8 miles -to 50,000), Nissan headquarters will not repair, replace or buy it back. Nissan 2022 Sentra is a scam!.
