Complaint information business name conicelli Nissan person to whom you spoke gary rymarowicz business address 1200 ridge pike conshohocken, PA 19428 USA map it business phone number (610) 825-4200 product or service purchased fuel pump date purchased 07/05/2023 purchase price $1078. 61 form of payment credit card complaint summary attached is the documentation proving that I should not have been charged for replacing the recalled part (fuel pump) for "premature failure" on my car. Further, while my 2017 Nissan Sentra was under warranty I had the car serviced by Nissan 309 and then conicelli Nissan. I informed the Nissan dealers that the car was not running as smoothly as it should and asked them to check for issue(s) with the fuel filter/fuel system. They acted like they had never heard of a problem with the fuel system/pump and did not check my car for the fuel system issues requested. Instead they told to use premium fuel when I noticed the issue. When the car failed to start conicelli Nissan finally tested the fuel system they said the fuel pump needed to be replaced. And I would have to pay, even though there were known problems and recalls for Nissan Sentra fuel pumps for over 20 years!!! the documentation proves that there have problems with Nissan Sentra fuel pump premature failures for 21 years including 2017. The recall notice states : "if the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash" if you need any other documentation let me know. Mike mchale 427 kennedy road collegeville, PA 19426 mchale68@aol. Com what would you like the business to do to resolve your complaint? since there were Nissan Sentra fuel pumps problems for over 20 years, and they denied there were any issues with Nissan Sentra fuel pumps while the car was under warranty and recall, full credit for the fuel pump replacement $1,078. 61 is required.

Fuel pump failure at 75k miles. Resulted in vehicle sputtering, then stalling, dashboard lights going out and then turning back on with more than half a tank difference in the fuel reading, and then ran out of gas entirely. Brought to dealership who denied there being an open recalls on the vehicle ever, which is incorrect as I've already had to replace the transmission from a recall. The vehicle is completely unstable and is now also having problems holding brake fluid. Can't fill tank at the gas station either because refueling stops immediately every two seconds after turning on even if you physically hold it there. . . You continue to have to click it back on because the fuel is not accepted by the vehicle. This car should be recalled entirely. It is unsafe and has stranded me 3 times and repairs have been unreasonable. Nissan must take responsibility and issue recalls that will fix the issues free of charge. As of today I've been asked to invest another $3,000. 00 to fix it, but it's worth less than that now.

After 37,122 miles the transmission on my 2018 Nissan Sentra went bad on me. I took it to the dealership and they informed me that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. The dealership also said the fuel pump and cluster needed to be replaced. I read that there have been other complaints made about the transmission system for these cars, and there should definitely be a recall.

My check engine light came on so I took my 2013 Nissan Sentra (54,000 miles) to the dealership where I bought it new for diagnosis. Was advised fuel level sensor code not being read correctly so fuel pump needs replaced. Estimate $671 and my diagnosis was $145. I called Nissan because there had been a recall, but not for my VIN. The fuel pump should last 125,000 miles! very dissappointed with Nissan, they said since it was out of warranty they could not offer anything. Now I'm just waiting for the well-documented transmission failure to happen. This was my first new car ever, and I carefully researched it before purchase. They certainly aren't making this customer feel taken care of by not taking responsibility for replacing the faulty fuel pump.

Vehicle was in motion, check engine light turned on and the fuel gauge on dashboard started to acting out; I thought my car was leaking gas, but I could not smell it. I thought the problem was electric. I called Nissan of huntington to report the problem and making an appointment, but it was too late (3:45pm), so I had to bring my car to centerport automotive. They scanned my car's computer system and: "code po 463 fuel pump sending unit malfunction code". As a result, they replaced the fuel pump and sending unit assembly in fuel tank. My car was 35472 miles at the time this work was done. Had to pay 681. 37 dollars + nys sale taxes. I would love to be reimbursed since a fuel pump lasts more than 125,000 miles. Thousands of 2013 Nissan Sentra cars have a fuel system recall, but not this particular VIN number.
Car not even 24 hours old, the car would not start with pushing the starter button, the rmp would be at 3 at idleing. March 2019, engine light came on, and went to the dealer. Sensor in fuel pump had to be replaced, few weeks power train problems. In the middle of intersection of route 45 in greys lake, IL. The car would not shift out of first gear and almost dies in the middle of intersection. Shut the car off, the car would run normal for awhile, then the shifting gears and bogging would start all over again. A week latter the engine is making a whinning noise.

Takata recall car stalls out and dash board lights up with every warning signal, every time I brake to quickly when hitting a red light but check engine light isn't regularly on. My problem matches another type of 2009 Nissan Sentra problem but my exact model is not recalled. Purchased brand new starter, alternator and battery to no avail another recall says mass airflow sensor and fuel pump.

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra sv. The contact stated that while travelling at 30 mph her vehicle completely shut down almost causing her to be rear ended. The vehicle was pushed off the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer gettel Nissan 3530 bee ridge rd, sarasota, FL 34239 and they stated there were no recalls on the vehicle and diagnosed the issue as being the fuel pump. The vehicle was not fixed and was towed away to an independent mechanic for the repairs. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The failure mileage was 30,000. Tf.
In the fuel pump the wire plug is burned and it makes crack. Because of that gas is leaking.
First had to replace fuel pump at 29,000 miles, then on a trip to key west, the car, starts to jerks and loses acceleration, couldn't accelerate do to the gas pedal unable to accelerate the vehicle, kept pressing until it started to accelerate again. Had to turn around and head home. This vehicle a little over 3 years old and 30,000.
Anytime car engine is shut off and the car sits for as little as 10 minutes the car will not start right back up with out cranking over for several seconds. The fuel pump and fuel pump regulator has been a known problem with I know 2004 2005 and 2006 Nissan Sentra's. I have more Sentra's then this particular car and all these cars have this same issue. Nissan has known about this problem with these cars since they were new. I had this car in the dealer service dept when this car was new. They first put a what they called kit in it and it lasted a few months then I took it back and that time they said you get a whole new pump. It lasted for maybe a year then the same problem happened all over again. Nissan needs to recall these cars and fix them not just patch up the problem. I noted today's date of this happening but it happens everyday. Today included.

My daughter was driving down the freeway and slowed down going so me ral road tracks and the. Car stalled, it scared her a lot being she was on the freeway, she was abel to pull over half scared to death because the steering wheel got stiff not knowing the car had stalled and as you know when a car stalles and your ignition is on on all your warning lights cycle in the middle of a busy freeway, she was very fortunate she did not have a accident, this happened all of a sudden, had never done it before, my son took it to get it checked at a parts store and said it had a bad battery so he replaced it. She's a college student, after night class was going back to her apartment, getting off the freeway on to the ramp came to a light and turned green so she did not have to stop as she was turning car stalled again in the middle of the intersection, she panicked because she thought a car or truck would rear end her in the middle of the intersection. Car stalled and did not want to start for a few minutes until it finally srated and was able to get home. Did ot want to take any chances took it to the dealer next day and diagnostic was the crankshaft sensor was bad, seems to be working fine, I hope she does not have to go through that experience ever again. What really bothers me is that she could of had a very serious accident and now I go online and find out that there is hundreds of people going through the same experience and Nissan does not cover this defect that they say only certain models or engine size were in there recall cost over $300. 00 dollars to get it fixed, plus my car also has a other defect witch some times has a hard time starting because fuel pump looses pressure, they say there is a repair kit you can buy to fix the problem, but it is a defect and should be recalled, it cost about thorpe same amount as if you were to replace the whole fuel pump.

After driving my car and putting in park noticed gasoline smell checked under car and noticed gas leaking from top of fuel tank where the fuel pump sits. Took it to the dealership said gas was leaking from o ring on fuel pump mind you my vehicle is a 2014 with only about 45000 miles on it. Also there was no damage to tank hadn't ran over anything either just started leaking fuel out of nowhere.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,230.
Engine fuel pump failure. Driving on busy highway engine started to stall. Had to use clutch to keep engine running, nearly missing other vehicles trying to maintain control of vehicle trying to restart engine. Immediately took to dealer and fuel pump failure diagnosed. Fuel pump being replaced right now at $700. 00.

I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra s 1. 8 l. I had the crankshaft position sensor replaced a month ago due to an issue with the engine losing power. It happens mostly after the engine has reached a certain level of heat. My issue returned only a few days later after the replacement. It will come close to shutting off sitting at a stop sign or stop light. It will also lose acceleration over 3000 rpm. It will stop running if left in idle for an extended period of time. I noticed a similar recall on the 2. 5l version of the same vehicle. I contacted Nissan to see if it would be covered under this recall and they refused to cover it. I have talked to other owners of the same model and they have told me they have replaced the fuel pump and cps many times to no avail. I believe there is a definite safety issue in this car that could easily lead to an accident. I do not understand why it isn't covered under the recall that affects the similar 2. 5l version of the model. My vehicle is at 139,890 miles. It has had the sensor replaced at around 75,000 miles and around 100,000 miles.
While driving on the interstate at about 75 mph, the vehicle started losing acceleration and eventually stalled. We were in the left hand lane and luckily made it to the shoulder because we were going downhill. It was found to have a faulty fuel pump at 57,749 miles.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v068000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
August 2014:I was driving home from work on a city street doing about 45 when the car just shut off. I was able to coast into a parking lot with the residual power the car had. Luckily no one was next to me. The steering was gone since there was no power. After many attempts, I finally got the car started but had to put the car into neutral whenever I was at a light (because the rpm was at 500 and it kept shutting off when I applied the brake). Managed to make it home. Ended up being the cam/crank sensors that went out. Fast forward to November 2015 and I had to replace the cam sensor again!! car still idles at 500 rpm and always feels like it's going to shut off. Next issue is the power windows. Drivers side gets half-way down, but you have to pull the switch up quickly in order for it to roll back up. Cannot open/close passenger window from drivers side, only passenger side. Next issue is random leak in the trunk where the spare tire is stored. About 1-2 months after we had gotten some heavy rains, I noticed a slight mildew smell in the cabin. I sniffed around, didn't see or feel anything that was wet. Figured it was a cabin filter that needed to be replaced. Another month goes by and I can still faintly smell it. I open my trunk and it's coming from there. I pull everything out of the trunk; nothing feels wet, nothing looked wet, nothing had water stains on it (books, clothes). I pull back the trunk carpet, the trunk stabilizer and I notice there's mold on it and the mdf covering the spare is wet. I pull it off and there was about two inches of water in the spare wheel well! when I was driving to get stuff to clean it, it sounded like I had a kiddie pool in the trunk! to this day, I have no idea how it got in there - again nothing was wet or water-stained in the trunk. Also experienced misfires, fuel gauge (due to fuel pump). I don't feel safe in this car at times.
After fueling car (I. E. Pump auto shuts off) and fuel pump is removed, a gurgling sound can be heard from within the car's fuel filler and then gasoline is pushed out and overflows, spilling out dangerously onto the ground. Car is stationary, turned off, at gas station with keys removed. Happens once or twice a year.
After driving my car and turning the engine off for a few minutes or a few hours, the car will not start until the second or third turn of the igntion. The dealer replaced the fuel pump; however, within five months, the problem began again.
My car started to have a very long cranking period when starting the back in 6/2007, took the car to dealership they nothing was wrong. I took my car to the same dealership three time between 6/2007 and 10/2007 and everytime they said there was nothing wrong with the car. In 11/2007 I took the car to another dealership and they said it was the fuel pump, they replaced it under warranty. A year later in 11/2008 the started having the same issue and once again they fixed the issue, now in 3/2009 the car is having the same issue again. With all the problems you would think Nissan would do something to fix this problem. This is getting very old because now the car is out of warranty.

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra gxe 1. 8 l. My car has cut off or will not stop properly since the incident date. I took the car to autozone and the error that came up where p0462 and p0335. I checked the with the haynes book and to correct the p0462 problem I have to replace the fuel pump and p0335 is the crankshaft sensor. I have noticed that many of the complaints of the website are the for the same problems I am having. I also called Nissan consumer hotline was told my VIN does not fall within the recall and I have same size engine for the recall. I feel because my Sentra is cheapest model of the Sentra's that is reason it is not apart of the recall.
Fuel pump replace 2 times in a month stops running at quarter tank remote locks and unlocks car but key does"nt.
