The competent that continues to fail is the emergency response breaks. They continue to stop at random times creating a very unsafe environment while I drive daily. I do have this on video and my car is available for inspection at any time. I just recently finally got the emergency break system on video since it is so random and plan on making an appointment with my local Nissan dealer. I did have a visit recently regarding the recall for the tire rods. My car continues to make odd sounds and I paid over $1000 to get it fixed with all new tires. These problems have began since the day I got my car. I have bought over 10 wheels due to issues with the tire rods. The video we finally were able to get was last night regarding the emergency stop systems, it does not let me add to the complaint but I can send to any email if needed as well as the local Nissan dealer did inspect and work on the car for my tires and tire rods.

The start stop idle is malfunctioning it says start stop idle fault also I just replaced the rotors and brakes the rotors were warped and it shakes when you brake. Also the door locks don't unlock when you press the button.
When it rains the car hydroplanes and the traction on the tires are no good. Also the door locks don't unlock properly and the door won't open. Also the warning for vehicle collision front and back doesn't work properly and doesn't warn you when a vehicle is going to hit you from behind. I was rear-ended and it didn't alert me at all and the driver of the other vehicle took off. And once in a while the front collision works and most of the time it doesn't work.
I brought my car in to the local dealer in olympia wa for a routine oil change and inquired about a wobble when driving on the freeway. I was told that my 5 year tires (purchased less than 1 year ago$800 full set) needed replaced on the drivers side ($224) and that my car maybe out of alignment ($119). I inquired about the Sentra recalls and was told there aren’t any. This is concerning to me and I worry that it is a safety issue to be driving. My make model and year of car fall within this recall range and is displaying signs described in as consistent with the recall yet my local dealer dismissed the possibility. I am requesting assistance with this as this is my only vehicle and needed for my employment. Please call me. Thank you. [xxx] text & messages are ok. Thank [xxx] . Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

To the best of my knowledg the front lh drive shaft came off the transaxle case leaving me no power of steering or breaking forcing me into the center divider. If this happened on a freeway driving speed limit or a busy street the accident would be fatal. Problem has been confirmed by Nissan themselves the year and make of my car has been recalled for this issue. A few days prior I did smell oil burning and was going to the issue looked at at the dealership unfortunately this accident or malfunction happened. There was no police report but the police did show up to make sure I was okay and they called the tow company affiliated with the department so I believe there's some record of it but no actual police report was made because I didn't feel that it was needed because no one was involved other than myself.

As I was driving home on the highway, something happened with my car where I couldn't control the car. It swerved back and forth on it's own until it finally stopped and cut off on it's own. There were no messages or symptoms prior to the failure. My car has been with Nissan who said they were going to investigate it and I cannot get a call back from Nissan consumer affairs.
On August 21, 2024, my daughter was driving the car and was in the drive thru to get breakfast. As she turn the corner and was in the line to pick up her meal, the car wouldn’t move. She tapped on the gas once more, upon doing so the car veered to the left ( she had no control in the steering) and the tire rod broke causing her to crash into the small cement barrier. I call the dealership where I purchased the vehicle and I was advised to contact Nissan consumer. The vehicle is not drivable and I was advised to have it towed to a dealership, where it has been for a month now. The inspector went to the dealership over two weeks ago. I was told I would receive an a call regarding the results to determine if Nissan was at fault ( this makes no sense since there’s an open recall and the tie rod is bent/broken). I’ve yet to hear from Nissan consumer with the results. I’ve left 2 messages and no one has returned my call. The dealership is charging a daily storage fee, car/insurance payments are being made on a vehicle that’s not in my possession. My daughter has to pay for uber rides for her classes at the school where she has to do observations for her degree. She has to pay for grocery delivery. Additionally, my daughter is a recent kidney transplant recipient. She has doctors appointments she must attend. Without a vehicle, I have to go to a different city to pick her up, take her to the appointment and bring her back. Which means I have to take off from work ( loss wages/ or use vacation time) which I shouldn’t have to, until this issue is rectified. I understand the protocol and we’re not the only consumers with issue, but over a month is ridiculous.
The car has been towed and moved to another state which is new jersey and it is being held at an auction company. The car needs to be picked up by Nissan of garden city and taken back to the dealer shop for the safety recall.
There is a current open recall campain id r23b3 on the tie rods requiring replacement, however there is no current remedy per Nissan. This faulty tie rod can break and cause complete loss of steering, as there is a stop sale on this vehicle it is not safe to drive. Vaden Nissan has my vehicle every 5000 miles during each service/oil change from 2021 until 2024. I also notified the vaden Nissan dealership again of this open recall issue during my last inspection, they rotated the new tires I had to purchase and sent me on my way. While driving my 2021 Nissan Sentra on atomic road in jackson, SC (a moderately busy highway), I experienced noticeable vibrations through the steering wheel, especially when accelerating and making turns. As I attempted to exit the highway, via a curved off-ramp, the steering wheel became extremely shaky and impossible to turn. I struggled to keep the car within the lane and then completely lost steering control. This caused me to veer off the road and nearly into the shoulder. I experienced such panic and fear as my 2-year-old nephew was in the car seat in the back of my vehicle and was also extremely frightened. I am now extremely unsatisfied with Nissan and its lack of commitment to sell safe vehicles, I cannot legally resell this vehicle in the current condition and am left with no option but to drive an unsafe car, under the lemon law I have the right to sue. I pray that if I absolutely have to drive this Nissan Sentra again there are no injuries, life-altering disabilities or possible death incurred to myself of my passengers. As I have followed all proper protocols and require a rental car that is at minimum safe for transportation.
To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing safety issue with the 2022 Nissan Sentra, NHTSA recall number 23v-581. This recall, which has been open since August 2023, poses a significant safety risk to drivers and other vehicles on the road and their passengers. What is particularly concerning is that similar issues were reported in the 2021 Nissan Sentra models, indicating that this problem has been persistent and ongoing. Despite this, no estimate for a remedy has been provided, leaving affected vehicle owners in a state of uncertainty and potential danger. Furthermore, the fact that the 2024 version of the Nissan Sentra is already in sales without any reported similar problem suggests that Nissan has found a solution for the new versions. This raises questions about why no action has been taken to address this critical safety issue in previous models. It is imperative that Nissan takes immediate action to rectify this issue for the 2022 Nissan Sentra models. Owners should not have to wait any longer for a solution, especially when the safety of themselves and others is at stake. The apparent lack of commitment by Nissan to address this issue promptly and effectively is deeply concerning and must be rectified without delay. I urge the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA) to request a deadline commitment by Nissan on finding a solution to provide a safety remedy as soon as possible. The safety of drivers must always be the top priority.
On November 13, 2023 my son eric took the Nissan Sentra in for service at coggin Nissan for a routine oil change. My son told me before I made the appointment for service that he thought that some of his fluids may be low because the steering felt weird. I requested that the steering and other fluids be checked as well as the tire pressure. After the service on the Sentra was completed service we were provided with their recommendation for additional services. They listed that the all four tires were worn and needed to be replaced which I thought was odd. They also recommended an alignment and replacing the brakes pads. There was no mention of any other services being required or any mention of a recall. Before leaving I asked the gentleman at the counter if the fluids and tire pressure had been checked and he said they were and that they do a multi point inspection on all vehicles being serviced. I also mentioned to the gentleman that my son was still having problems with his battery, and it was brand new. The gentleman stated that the batteries are not made the same as they used to be and don’t last us long. On Saturday, November 18th, just a few days after having the car serviced my son eric was taking his girlfriend home at around 10:30 pm and was driving on baymeadows rd before getting on 95 north. He was having issues with his steering and was unable to steer, losing control but was somehow able to pull in to the parking lot of a bank. He hit a curb or something, the tire blew out and he doesn't think he hit anything else but the front bottom front piece on car was hanging and had to be removed. There was also some other damage near tire. I thank god that he hadn't gotten on the highway when this occurred otherwise this could’ve been a lot worse and lives could have been lost.
The tie rod collapsed during routine driving causing the vehicle front end to fall in the road.
Catastrophic failure today. Car was towed with special tow truck to dealer after hours. Will know more tomorrow. While driving passenger right front tire: upper tie rod broke, lower control arm broke, trans-axel broke, smoke came out of hood. Right before this happened the car experienced a shimmy in the steering wheel and to keep car driving straight I had hold steering wheel at angle to the right (40mph). Next the anti-lock brakes engaged then disengaged. Four or so miles later I got a dashboard warning that had “malfunction” on almost every system (all amber lights). I pulled over at gas station immediately called dealer and was advised to bring in it ASAP. I put the car in reverse attempted to back out of parking spot, got 4 feet out and a horrible clanking/popping noise happened maybe 3 times and smoke came from engine compartment. I tried to put car back in gear to pull back into parking spot - but car would not move forward or backward. Got out and visual inspection showed front right tire had torn away from car and was hanging and car body was sitting imbedded into tire causing a dent in the panel. First tow truck driver said damage was so bad, they had to call a different kind of tow truck. Car then towed to dealer tonight after hours. Don’t know full extent of damage yet, tow truck driver thought transmission damaged when axel pulled away. What happened preceding this: I had just got off I-95 after a 7 hour drive from myrtle beach. Was 2-3 miles off freeway when this happed. Had it happed just a few minutes earlier, it would have happened on freeway at 70mph. There would likely have been multiple fatalities. Dealer replaced both left and right trans axels within last 2 months a week apart (car was making clunking sound). Tie rods inspected (told they were fine). Ten days ago clunking again (sounded like it was coming from engine compartment near center console. ) took back to dealer they inspected it, changed oil and could not duplicate noise.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 23v581000 (steering).
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 25 mph, the front passenger’s side axle detached. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a fractured axle and wheel bearing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the vehicle was not under warranty. The failure mileage was 26,319.
Rattling noise coming from front passenger side, while turning and going over speed bumps.
Was driving down the highway nothing in front of me my car hit the brakes and flashed warning on the dash and made me come to a stop after this happened my fuel economy decreased over 100 miles per tank other times it just activates and taps the brakes for no reason also every window except the driver window gets stuck several times a week another thing some how one of my rims cracked.
At approximately 1400 on 08/07/2022 just past the intersection on ayers and the spid access road, I was driving at about 30 mph with my grandfather in the front passenger seat and my younger sister in the rear driver's seat in my 2022 Nissan Sentra. When passing the turn-around in the left lane of the access road, I suddenly felt the car lean towards the driver's side and then the airbags deployed on the driver's side, pushing my vehicle into oncoming traffic, towards a truck passing in the right lane of the access road, and I also felt the car drifting towards oncoming traffic as well; at the time I felt the drift of the vehicle, I had not hit any objects or debris in the road and I did not collide with the curb. To avoid getting hit by the truck, I forced the wheel against the airbag and drift of the vehicle, scraping the front-driver's side tire on the curb while the truck passed. I then turned the wheel towards the right lane in an attempt to get put of the road and avoid getting hit or causing an accident. During the maneuver to the right lane, I pulled the vehicle as far onto the curb as I could because there was no marked breakdown lane, and the vehicle would not move anymore. I then assessed to ensure that my passengers were unharmed, but my grandfather complained of pain to his abdomen, my sister complained of a burn injury to her l upper arm and I was suffering from tinnitus. After confirming no one was severely injured, I called my parents and asked them to come and pick up my sister and my grandpa while I tried to figure out what I needed to do about the vehicle. While on the phone with my parents, a bystander came up to my car and asked if we were alright and told us that he had already called 911. We told him no one was badly injured. I also verified with this witness that I did not come into contact with anything; he stated that he heard a loud pop and then saw me swerving and then come to a stop.
The wheel keeps turning to the right and won't go straight. The wheel makes a clicking noise when it turns. It seems to be something to do with the steering column. Must keep turning the steering wheel to the left for it to work properly. I have replaced the steering gear assembly at my own expense, but the problem has not improved, proving to be a design issue near the tire and tie rod. I'm sure the sound is coming from near the tire and tie rod. Yes. I found the recall notice but no solution was given. There doesn't seem to be any plan to fix this design flaw? I need to file a complaint!.
I had brought my car up to the dealership for an oil change, and they said there was a recall on the tie rods. They said they checked them out, but never gave me paperwork for it. And I’ve looked it up and it said no recall have been serviced on. A week or two later me and another passenger got in my car and put it in reverse, and heard a small pop as I turned the wheel I didn’t think anything of it at first. Then we started heading down the road we got to a stop light and my car was stalling the transmission didn’t sound right for a little while. And then we where going about 35 mph and started slowing down to about 10-15 mph to make a turn, as I started turning the wheel we heard a loud pop. All of a sudden I had lost control of the car, the right front side tire had broke off and barely holding only by the wires and piece of metal. Then we hit the curb almost hitting another car and smoke started coming out of the a/c vents. And also no warning for anything ever came up. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The dealership has inspected it.
On July 16 2021, I took my car to the dealer for an oil change and for a recall on a bent tie rod. They told me my tie rod was fine and did nothing. On November 15, I took my car back because my wheel was vibrating. They said my hub bearing assembly is loose so, they will order the part which takes 3 days to come in and advised me "not to drive on highways". Now 4 weeks later, they told me that's not the problem and its my tie rod. I asked how this was misdiagnosed? they said the person who looked at it didn't know what they were doing. This put my children and I at risk!.
I purchased the car drove it home with no problem. 2 days after my purchase it drives very slow and won't pick up speed.

Backing out of a driveway my axel and ball joint. The control arm disconnected from my transmission. This caused damage to the side paneling in front my tire. The car wouldn't move even when put in neutral. When I go in reverse before this happened my car would putter and then die. The car will not reverse unless I put the car in neutral and roll out from where I am.
My tire pressure warning light is lit up on the dashboard. My tires are six month, and the light continues to turn on even after taking the car to the shop. I've taken the car several times to americas tires, bit o' tire where I purshased the tires and they checked all tires and tire sensors, valves and say the air preasure is good. The light turns off but a day or two after the air preasure light blinks and stays on again. My car is available for inspection upon request. Please advice. Thank you.

I purchased four sumi tour plus lsw tires in October 2016. In October 2018, a bulge was discovered in one of the sidewalls. The company I bought the tires from suggested the tire must have been damaged by a pothole (even though I live in florida where there are few, if any, potholes. ) in April 2020, another bulge was discovered in one of the three remaining original tires. Both bulges occurred with the tires having less than the 50,000 mile warranty. I contacted the tire manufacturer and was told the bulges were "impact bubbles," which is not a defect, but a road hazard. I find this hard to believe, as I have hit potholes in the past that have actually dented my rim, but never have I had bulges occur in the tires themselves in all my years of driving. . . Let alone two bulges in under two years.

While in motion the passenger side ball joint did break. This allowed the wheel to become non responsive and caused the drive axle to break. If the vehicle was going at highway speed at the time, there would have been a severe accident to say the least.
My tire pressure light is lit up on the dashboard. I was parked when I first noticed the light on. After noticing, I then proceeded to make sure all four tires had correct amount of air and to and to turn off car and back on to reset. After doing so the light has continued to remain on. Also my passenger airbag has been flashing on and off while care is in start mode. I am unsure the cause of it. My vehicle also cut off while stopped at a traffic light a few week ago. Unsure if the problems were related.
20013 Nissan Sentra with less than 75k miles. Making a left turn and heard a loud pop. Left front ball joint broke off the lower control arm causing the control arm to smash through the tire rim and rip out the axle from the transmission. My vehicle was traveling at less than 5 mph (thank god!) I would not have reported this but I saw the same thing happened to another car. I jacked it up immediately and car was flatbedded to mechanic and control arms on both sides, ball joints and axle was replaced.
I had instability on the highway going around curves. The car would start to shake, so I had to slow down to navigate around curves. Turning on town roads felt somewhat less, but I still had to be careful. Meineke put them on with 64,249 miles on the tires,on 2/19/16, but they put on new front pair at 70,203 miles on the tires on 10/8/19, because they said the tread worn down. They left the rear tires on.
My car jerks, slow acceleration, fast acceleration, grinding, slipping of the cvt transmission.
