Transmission failed at 85,000. I started having problems gaining speed; then the car would start shaking, jerking and pausing. I was driving on highway 152 on my way to san jose, CA when my car started losing speed and shaking. I thought I was going to get stuck in the middle of the road. It was terrifying. I made it to work and started doing research about what my car was doing and find out it was the transmission. I took it to the dealer and they confirmed it was the transmission. Nissan tech. Told me to call Nissan USA, so I did. They gave a case number and they communicated with the dealer to confirm the transmission had failed. Nissan agreed to pay part of the cost to repair transmission even though I told them that it was too soon for the transmission to fail. Nissan is charging me 2000 to fix it. I honestly think Nissan should start repairing all transmissions without a cost for customers. They know their transmissions have defects. I will try to sell my car as soon as possible as they are only going to give me one year warranty.

Takata recall I was driving my car and came to a stop sign and the whole car shut off, while I was in drive. My battery was corroded and so we thought that was the issue and changed the battery and the problem worsended up until yesterday while I was riding to work, I arrived at a stop light and before the light even turned red the whole car shut off and locked up. The battery is new, oil had been changed hat same day as the air filter and the mass airflow sensor were changed. The mass airflow sensor was changed because that's what I was told was why my engine light was on. The very day the same issues occurred and the whole car stopped and did not start again. Prior to this, my car sat for a few days, like any car does on the weekend and I needed a jump the following Sunday night and after changing the battery, the problems worsened and as I was driving, if I turned slightly or made a left or right turn, my skip control would come on and stay on and I drive routinely so I knew it was a new problem. When I put the car into park, the slip control would come on or in reverse, the slip control would come on or the whole car would shut off in that gear.

I purchased a car from wilson motor company and was told it was only used as a rental by their customers while their car was in the shop. I have had issues with the car and they have fought me on warranties to cover. When I went to a different dealership they pulled the autocheck report to find that the car had been purchased from an auction in CA and is showing a title brand for frame or structural damage record and a possible odometer rollback. The tires are wearing unevenly and are not safe and I have already replaced the brakes out of my pocket. I can't trade the car in due to this report. I was lied to and now I can't get warranty service or able to trade the car in for something else. I cannot get the general manager to return my messages.

There is a clicking noise when stopping and accelaratiing, this clicking sound comes from the front tire area, it started about 8 mos ago and now it is getting worse, I bought the car new. It also has like a whistling noise when driving 65-70 and over. Two issues the clicking noise coming from the front tire area and the whistling noise when driving over 65 mph. I've never have bumped the car over the sideside walk for the clicking noise it just started. I don't know why the car makes the whistling noise at high speed.
At random times the vdc off indicator will turn on while driving. It can not be turned off and it is impossible for your car to go over 40 mph without constant jerking. You have to pull over, shut down and restart your car multiple times until the indicator doesn't come back on. Some times this is impossible and will never go away until car has been shut off for an hour or so. This can occur at any time when the car is in motion or even at a stop light, the indicator will come on and the jerking will begin. Very dangerous.
Does not register correct gas miles. If I just filled gas tank and it reads that I can drive 258 miles on that amount of gas when ive only driven 25 miles it will tell me ive driven 100 miles therefore registering that I only have 123 mies left in gas, causing me to fill tank more than I probably need to and not really knowing how my much further I can actually drive. Ive taken photos that reflect miles driven to gas used. Also, car gains speeds when im pressing break to slow down/stop. Also, when I gently press gas pedal car speeds up faster than the actual gas im applying. Also, when in motion it makes sudden jerking stop when im pressing gas. Since day one tires seemed older than car. Im not sure if they were changed out at dealership for rotted/used tires. Constant check tire light comes on. The driver seat seems like its been tampered with or changed out. When you sit in the car its crooked, leans to the right. Within weeks after I purchased the car ive complained to the dealership about issues car has, they claim all is fine with the car and dont seem to find anything. Wrong. Also your site says airbag recall on the 2017 Sentra, dealership tells me it doesnt pertain to my car. I feel its defective all around and im nervous driving it.
The tpms sensors are activated without any air drop, when checking them they appear to work correctly, it is reset and at 20 miles they are activated again.

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Sentra. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle pulled to the right without warning. The vehicle was taken to billion auto Nissan (located at 3715 singing hills blvd, sioux city, IA 51106, (712) 560-4511) where it was diagnosed that an alignment was needed. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle independently braked without warning, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal and was able to resume drive. The vehicle was later taken back to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 1,700.
The tire pressure light has been going on and off for over 4 months. I also got a paper notice onto my house saying the airbags for one or a few of our cars had a recall. I checked online and my car was one of them.

Air bag light has come on for no apparent reason. Steering wheel controls, including radio and cruise control no longer work and haven't for some time now. The "wheels" or "hubcaps" peeled off and look terrible. When driving over 60 mph the car shakes. One owner - 142,000 miles.
Flapping sound on driver side when speeding. My vehicle makes a flapping sound when I speed more than 65 mph. I can hear it on the driver side only. It causes the steering wheel to vibrate. I had the shocks replaced and it still makes the sound.
Thumping noise from left rear suspension at 30mph on city streets.

I was in an accident, and air bag failed to deploy. Brakes may have not been repaired to full functional capacity from the dealership when serviced which resulted in not braking in time and loss of control of vehicle. I looked up the vehicle on a Nissan recall website and found out that it's one of the ones on the recall list.
Car was purchased on March,2014, we have replaced the all 4 tires already, bearing and strut needed to replaced, the battery died, which was replaced on Tuesday April 19th, 2016, by pepboys, because Nissan did not cover it. We have radio problem. Sometimes the car does not pick up the key and does not start. Sometimes the indications on the dash board such as mileage, gas mileage goes blank . Also my radio stops and the navigation system does not start. Radio has been fixed 2 times already. The biggest concern is the mechanical problems, because even with a new battery that is 2 days old, the car does not start sometimes. Also courtesy Nissan in richardson texas refused to help us with any of this, even though we bought extended 100,000 mile warranty. Car has 40,000 miles on it now. At the time these problems started it has 36,000 miles. I also found information online, that is this car is recalled, however when I call Nissan they said it was not. I have a one year old and if this car is unsafe, Nissan should acknowledge that.
1-- the dashboard is has a bigger gap on the driver side in relation to the door than the passenger side. 2- tires don't respond immediately when driving off from a parking lot where the surface is not too smooth(not smooth enough) 3. The brakes don't work properly when driving les than 35 miles an hour it rolls instead of stopping the car at point of contact with the brake pedal.

The vehicle drifts both directions while driving, when braking it seriously pulls right. I have only had the car 6 weeks and haven't hit anything yet but if there are narrow lanes with parked cars I may not be so lucky. There are other problems the heat shields that cover the exhaust come loose and the air sensors in the tires leak so you need to put air in the tires weekly.
Bridgestone turanza el 400 p205/55 r16 tires on my 2014 Nissan Sentra consistently deflate without being punctured over 30 - 60 day period causing numerous trips to gasoline station air pump. This is a danger and hassle.
On August 25, 2014 while I did escape with my life and my whole body intact, after a witness was on scene she said she her a loud pop, well that loud pop was my front left (immediate driver's side tire) and I ended up in a brick wall. Not pleased with bridgestone, as my vehicle only had no more than 8000 miles on it, but very pleased with the vehicle and it's features.
August 13, 2014 I took my Nissan to dealer because of air bag light on passenger side flashing. It started while driving. I was informed it was caused by right front seat belt pretensioner failure, they replaced the right front seat belt assy. Under a warranty. October 20, 2014 took back to dealer due to air bag light again flashing. Informed it was cost $975 to install a new censor. I declined work because of price. To date, 5/2/16, the light continues to flash. I also have a flashing light on my dash for a tire censor. I was told it would cost $135 to find which tire or if it was a main censor that was causing this. I declined to have it diagnosed due to the cost -$135 to find it then another cost to fix it. This has been flashing for almost two years. Car was in motion when the flashing started.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the tpms warning light kept illuminating intermittently. The contact constantly had to check the tire pressure and although the dealer reset the code the failure recurred for longer than six weeks. The contact stated that at least three or more times, the vehicle stalled with no warning. The contact was able to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road the second time the failure recurred but there was a strong hesitation as if the vehicle may stall again. The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced several times. The dealer replaced the transmission three times and indicated that it needed to be replaced a fourth time. The contact was concerned that the failure may recurr intermittently even if the transmission is replaced again. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000. Dyd.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 20 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and there was a loud grinding noise coming from all of the wheels. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the diagnosis was unknown. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 126.
When temperature drops below 40f low tire pressure light comes on and will not turn off. Tire pressure is fine upon checking.

When purchasing my used vehicle from el monte Toyota, notice sensor for tire on, was told be fixed, months later learn rim missing sensor. Light in car also don't work. Driving car immediately was stalling out shutting off when idol. Took car back week later since within 30 day warranty spoke to customer service on recorded call and she didn't thoroughly document conversation. Upon waiting four hours next week, tech drove the car never do a diagnostic. After warranty expired car regularly shut off triggering transmission codes. Out of pocket I paid for transmission flush twice, throttle body replacement, brakes, learning there was transmission recall 2010. Falling behind in payments due. To excessive repair expenses took car to fix at Nissan to get a list more of defects I couldn't afford. I filed a claim with Toyota and was denied by the manager. Had they ran the diagnostic when I brought it in all be avoided. However was advised dealership's are aware of recalls and sold me the car anyway? and refused to fix when I returned and dismissed a claim die to their neglegance. Never buy a car from that dealership and will let anyone looking know of my costly experience. Expect that from a car lot not a reputation like Toyota.
While applying the brake pedal decelerating the car, the car suddenly had a very loud grinding noise on the rear passenger wheel, like the brake rotor grinding against some metal parts that broke loose inside. After stopping the car inspecting passenger rear wheel and found nothing, I got back to the car slowly accelerating it. The loud grinding noise got worse and I felt the brake pedal kinda light (like not all 4 brakes are being applied). I suspect the brake shoes or components broke apart inside the brake drum of the rear wheel (passenger side). Fortunately, I was at slow speed (20-30mph) and only one block away from home. Will have it towed to the local Nissan dealer to have it checked out as I only had this car for about 7-8 month from brand new. Since this is an all-new design 2013 Sentra, I am concern this is a flaw on the brake design that could cause extreme dangerous hazards on the road. Though my car should be covered under manufacturer 36-month bumper to bumper warranty, I am strongly asking to have the rear brake system on the 2013 Nissan Sentra investigated and recalled / corrected if necessary. This would help not only protect my family, my investment, but also others from running into the same incident operating this particular model in the future.
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Sentra. While parked, the contact noticed that the tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician was able to shut the tire pressure warning light off but the failure continued. Additionally, the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.
I have had many trips to the dealer after purchasing a 08 Sentra for problems with the tire pressure light as well as a popping in the wheels. I went to the dealer and they turned the pressure light off and said it was fine. It has happened more then 7 times. The tires were worn out by 30k miles I coudn't believe I had to replace them already. I aslo had the popping noise in the tires I took it to the dealer 4 times and they said nothing was wrong. I moved to a different state and took it for an oil change and they asked me if I had heard a noise in the tires. To my surprise I explained that I had heard it for a long time but the dealer told me it was nothing! the oil change place told me that the top strut mounts were seized causing the springs to bind. Now I would have had to pay over $1100 to replace them. I luckily have ext warranty that covers it for $50. I also have been told to replace brakes soon as well as the pressure valves in the tires. Is this all related to the dealers failure to diagnose the issue and now this has caused multiple issues at 30k miles?? or can this be a manufacturing issue with faulty equipment? please look in to this thanks.
So I was driving my car at night and it was raining that day. My speed was 40mph when I was making left turn on a highway, and then all of sudden one of my back tire on the right pop. My car goes out of control and made 180 degrees turn. So I end up rolling my car. Luckily their was no one coming from other lane. At the end I was surprise that none of my airbag deploy. Also my car got total.
All of the tires were bought in December, 2010. One of the new tires had a defect two months after the purchase that could not be repaired; it had to be replaced. Recently, specifically on November 14, 2011, another tire blew while on a highway (with 55 mph speed limit).

Since the day I purchased the vehicle I have had ongoing issues with the tire pressure sensors. The light comes on and will not go off. The first time it happened the dealership replaced the sensor. A week later it came on again, the sensor was replaced again. As I drove off the lot it came back on. The entire rim and sensor was replaced. It has continued to come on repeatedly over the years. In addition I have had to replace all 4 tires yearly as they wear unevenly, regardless of the brand. The back tires wear in a wave pattern, the front wear around the edges even after new tires are balances and aligned. I can not drive at highway speeds with the windows open because of the noise the tires make. It makes me sick to my stomach. With all the other sensor light, tire and suspension issues others are having I am surprised there hasn't been action taken. Tires are not an accessory part, it is a necessary part and when they fail people get hurt.
The contact owns a 1996 Nissan Sentra. While driving 35 mph, the entire front passenger wheel detached from the vehicle. The vehicle lowered onto its front axle and was towed to a tire shop. Prior to the failure, the steering wheel shook and the contact heard a loud thumping noise. The contact stated that the wheels had aluminum rims. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 196,000.

I hit a curb and my wheel broke off leaving just the center bolted to the car. The tire was not damaged. At that point the vehicle was pretty much uncontrollable and the tire and remainder of the wheel continued into traffic. The tire shop indicated they had never seen anything like this. The car appears to have sustained only possibly some alignment issues. This and the lack of damage to the tire seems to indicate that the impact was not that severe, yet there was the complete failure of the wheel. I have a photo of the now two pieces of the wheel. The car is not just an ser model Sentra but a ser spec v which includes 17" wheels instead of the 16s on the ser. I have not submitted anything to Nissan as I previously had notified them of some frequently-warping brake rotors and they discounted my claims indicating I was driving to aggressively. However, the brake system was modified in subsequent models since the 2002 introduction of my car.

The contact owns 2001 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while parallel parking she hit a curb and dented the wheel. The consumer replaced the wheel at her own cost of $27. 86. The service dealer did not state why the wheel was dented. The consumer tried to contact the manufacturer once, but did not get any response. All four wheels had been previously replaced by Nissan because of a defect in the original wheels on the vehicle. The consumer stated the metal used in the wheels are of a poor quality. Updated 11/29/05.

3 of 7 recall notices related to engine sesnors others related to wheel replacement;and front suspension bolts engine light eluminated prior to 3rd engine sensor recall notice; diagnostic done; 3 weeks klater engine sputtered, stopped and smoked while driving on a highway at speed limit, near collission; 2001 Nissan Sentra towed to dealer; $485. 00 engine coil assembly maintenenace done; 2 miles off lot engine light on again; Nissan wants to charge for additional repairs needed because they say the engine repairs are not connected to the engine sensor recall notices. They say the repeated purchase of tires are also not connected to the wheel replacement recall for which the wheels were not upon their inspection. Issue is wheels are separating and engine continues to fail and I keep spending money in the hopes a 21 year old can drive safely.
