The fuel gauge does not read correctly below approximately a quarter tank. It occasionally will stick and fluctuate but always around a quarter tank and below. The first time I realized the problem I had to have my truck towed home, thinking it was something major when all I did was run out of gas.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed of NHTSA campaign number: 10v074000 (fuel system, other) however, the VIN was not included. The contact called Nissan of bakersfield (2800 pacheco rd, bakersfield, CA 93313, (661) 835-8600) and the manufacturer and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 138,000.
