Nissan Titan owners have reported 2 problems related to front seat head restraint (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Nissan Titan based on all problems reported for the Titan.
During an emergency stop a loud pop was heard and the driver's seat shifted forward causing the driver's weight to move into the footwell. After the incident occurred the seat cushion beneath the seat had ripped and visible bits of foam were observed under the seat. Truck was brought to dealership for inspection, dealership confirmed the seat had ripped and several clips had broken off. Dealer re-torqued seat restraining bolts and replaced clips and sent notice to materials engineer at Nissan for further investigation and analysis. Approximately one week later the seat has continued to loosen affecting driver stability and positioning while driving. Brought truck back to dealer and was told several restraining bolts had either sheared or stripped, since it could not be determined whether the vehicle was safe to drive I was put into a rental until an inspection could occur. I am still awaiting a response from Nissan both for the inquiry and for parts and Nissan has not responded to either. Issue after approximately two week was then referred to bbb autoline to begin buyback process as Nissan has still not made further attempts to repair the vehicle nor have they provided a timeline of when that might occur.

Head rests are too thin, allowing occupants head to be snapped back too far before being stopped by the headrest in the event that the vehicle is rear-ended. This will cause unnecessary injury unless corrected.
