These are NHTSA recalled tires for my 2019 Nissan Titan. I had them inspected (via the recall) at cedar park Nissan and even though they showed major sidewall issues (peeling, tread chunk missing, etc. ), I was told they were a non-issue. I brought them in a 2nd time because the peeling and marring of tire look like major issues - they dismissed it. These are one of the tire models you state in your "part 573 safety recall report 21v-169". Specifically "continental tire 265/70 r18 116s tl grabber hts ". My wife and I were driving home with our 8 and 10 year old sons in the truck when the tire completely blew out and we were able to avoid a collision and wreck by the grace of god. I have photos and I have contacted cedar park Nissan (the customer service rep would not connect me with anyone in management or authority and said it was my responsibility to find them sometime). I am fine with new tires - or pursuing a lawsuit and getting as much as court will allow. Nissan's choice. Your help would be appreciated, since this is a defective tire and is in the description of a tire the NHTSA deemed as defective. No warnings given - other than the recall the NHTSA issues that cedar park Nissan deemed unnecessary. The previous symptoms have already been noted, as cedar park Nissan was made aware of them 2 times and sent us away without help. The other 3 tires look poor, as I previously showed them twice now.

My 2021 Titan, which I bought new in June of 2021 had a sidewall crack while driving. I did read, when I googled continental/general tires that there has been a recall on Titan and altima tires due to sidewall blowouts and cracks. The dealership said they never received anything about tires, however, my Titan had a 2 inch crack develop while driving, and I only have 3k miles on the truck. I do not feel real safe with the other 3 on it. This should be looked into.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Titan equipped with general tires, tire line: grabber, tire size: 265/70/r18, dot number: a3845mal5018. The contact stated that the driver’s side front tire pressure was continuously low and had to be re-inflated every 2 days. The tire was taken to the dealer who discovered that the exterior center tread of the tire had multiple tiny air holes present. While examining the interior of the tire it was also discovered that the inside tread was separated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.

During tire rotation it was pointed out that I had a hair line crack running vertically on one of my Nissan Titan oem tires , bridgestone dueler at p245 /75r17 110s ( d693acz ). I had ben noticing vibration ad braking shudder recently also . My investigation has lead to other online forum where this seems to be a characteristic of bridgestone dueler at p245 /75r17 110s ( d693acz ).

All four tires have tread separation from the wall documented by three separate mechanics at less than 30k miles; slow leak on one tire, no debris/damage to tire caused leak, mechanics stated it is caused by the separation of the tread to the wall. Normal city/highway driving, no off road.

The contact owns american pacific industry tires, size p265/70/r18 on a 2006 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that all tires except the driver side rear tire are out of round. As a consequence the vehicle when driven is unstable. Instability when driving increases the risk for vehicle crash. He contacted the manufacturer, but was not provided with assistance. As of current date the failure has not been remedied. He still has possession of the tires. The failure and current mileages were 500.
Rear seals on my Titan leaked all of the fluid out. I had filled my tires with air several days before and noticed nothing. All of the gear oil was gone.

Purchased 2005 Nissan Titan truck on 2/1/2005. On 4/21/05 with 6,000 miles, truck shook/shimmied when applying brakes. Under warranty, Nissan dealer replaced front pads and resurfaced the front rotors. On 6/23/05 with 11,000 miles, truck again shook/shimmied when applying brakes. Still under warranty, Nissan dealer replaced front and rear pads and rotors again! on 1/14/08, needed to replace the crappy goodyear wrangler sr-a (p265/70r18) tires that came with the truck (also had 3 flat tires) even though I rotated them regularly (less than 40,000 miles). Today, the tire center indicated I needed new brakes. Called Nissan dealer and am again taking the truck into service to correct and get new rotors/pads. By the way, the warranty on my truck for this repair runs out on 2/1/08. Going forward, I will have to be responsible to pay. This stinks! how come there hasn't been a recall and corrective procedure implemented? $37,000 vehicle!.
Vehicle has had erratic handling/steering since day one. Has been in dealership for problem 7 times. They say no problem brought to independent alignment shops and frame shop. They determined that rear axle was off center therefore causing the tracking to be off and preventing a proper alignment and causing erratic steering and having to constantly correct the steering wheel while driving.
2004 Nissan Titan equipped with the wrong tires customer states that the dealer knowingly sold the car with the wrong towing weight tires **.
This is my 2nd Nissan Titan in less than 2 years! I traded in a 2005 with less than 20,000 miles because of 3 full tire set replacements and new brakes at 6,000 miles and problems that the dealer stated are currently fixed in the new 2007 models. My new 2007 at 1200 miles dealer replaced defective rims with a new set of defective rims that are a after market plastic hubcap glued to the steel rim which is clicking and popping while in motion and after 15 minutes driving when I park they still pop and click until they completely cool down which is about 30 minutes later. I also have the drivers side window go down by itself and stop exactly at 3 inches after I attempted to close it, my ac does not cool at all and often does not come on even when my gps screen says it is set on high and running I have to pull over turn off truck then restart truck to get ac to come on. Dealer says they cannot find the problem even though there is a TSB on it that I gave them! dealer said window problem is due to georgia heat, it is doing what it is suppose to do but my other 3 windows don't have a problem! my rims they stated that they want to put more glue a TSB tech to fix the problem! that is not a repair that is a band aid that will not hold with the heat tires put off! as of now I will never ever purchase any Nissan ever again and I will be buying new rims for my truck and Nissan consumer affairs has not helped at all what so ever only tell me to do the TSB glue repair and even though I paid 1800. 00 extra for chrome rim package they will not refund or purchase new rims at all so I am on my own.

06 Nissan Titan pickup comes equipped with goodyear wrangler sra265 70 r/18 tires. This is a road tire with virtually no traction match for a light rear pickup truck. Truck experiences rear tire spin and hydroplaning on wet roads. Almost lost control twice. Nissan nor goodyear will do anything about resolving this problem. This is going to get someone killed. This tire is a total mis match for this vehicle.
06 Titan le crew cab - stereo just stops - no audio, no power, nothing. This has occurred twice in less than 3 months with complete head unit replacement by the dealership. Dealer states they can not remove the cds from the changer and must wait for factory to do so - I have not had any cds returned to date. Pending other options - persue small claims suit for reimbursement of cds, one more incident of same item will meet IL lemon laws under for impact to material value of the vehicle. . . I like the truck and it functions well except for this more simplistic item and the difficulty in getting repair from a dealer that I did not purchase the vehicle and the number of failures of the same item. Nissan USA has not been materially helpful, only to document but no action. 2nd tires 285/70/r17 - reported to michelin (for bf goodrich rugged trail - oem) tires - have less than 6/32s tread remaining with only 6k miles on tires - michelin will not replace or compensate until 2/32s, though they acknowledge a problem given original tread was 13/32s so more than half tread life is gone in 6k miles.
I notice oil on the rear tires and running into the rear rotor which could lead to breaking failure. My mechanic said the rear axle seals and pinion seal were bad so I had them replace right after I purchase the vehicle with only 30,000 and just now I got new tires and that's when I find out it's been leaking all this time now with 104,000 miles. Look on the internet and this is a common problem with 04 Nissan Titan. No recall. . .
I have a 2006 Nissan Titan king cab. It has goodyear wrangler tires sra 265 70 r18 on it. In the first two times I have had it in light rain on good highways it hydroplanes horribly at medium speeds{45 to 55 mph}. I have nearly lost control of this vehicle several times in light rain. The tires on this vehicle do nothing to channel away water in my opinion. I went into a slight curve in the rain and the vehicle just wanted to go straight. The match of this tire with this truck is going to kill someone. The tire option listed later in this complaint do not give goodyear wrangler as an option. So I had to put in something to proceed ,please note this.
The consumer experienced premature tire wear at 48,000 miles on his 2005 Nissan Titan. There was tire tread wear of 20-25% on each tire. Nissan suggested that this problem was the tire manufacturer's responsibility.
While driving vehicle vibrated uncontrollably on its own. Also, interior dome light flashed on and off intermittently. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that tires needed to be replaced. Consumer informed the mechanic that the problem recurred, and had not been resolved.
The contact stated while stopping the front end vibrated. Twice while pressing the brake pedal, nothing happened and causing the vehicle to slide off the road, and dented the vehicle. The vehicle has been to the dealership nine times for these problems. The dealership rotated the tires once, changed the brake pads, rotors, and discs, and replaced the tires. The vehicle was not vibrating as much, but the problem has not been fixed. Updated 12/7/2005.
