While merging into traffic on hwy 98 there was a significant lag in acceleration, almost causing me to be rear ended. As I turned to merge and pressed the accelerator there was no response for 5-6 seconds, I never experienced this lag in my 2011 Nissan Titan.

1) acceleration delay from standstill or while driving including when making left or right turns. 2) transmission shift delay between gears and confusion with whether to up or down shift.
I have had my 2016 Nissan Titan xd platinum reserve diesel for 1 month and have driven it about 450 miles. On 3 separate occasions when accelerating from a stop sign I have gotten a dead pedal. While accelerating reasonably (not mashing the accelerator) from a stop sign to cross an intersection the truck would roll forward about 6-8 feet then nothing (no acceleration, no rpm rev, just dead) for 4-6 seconds. Then with the pedal still about 1/2 way down the truck would respond and take off like a rocket. This is a huge safety issue as a driver should expect the vehicle to accelerate when pressing the accelerator. This caused one very narrow near miss by an oncoming vehicle as I sat dead in the water in the middle of an intersection for 5 seconds. The other 2 occasions there were thankfully no oncoming vehicles. I now have to make sure there is no other vehicle in sight to feel safe in crossing an intersection or pulling out into traffic. This issue needs to be resolved before someone is kill, if that has not already happened. The dealership has no idea what the issue is.
When pushing on the gas pedal, the vehicle does not always respond immediately. On at least 3 separate occasions, I have been stopped, pressed the gas pedal and the vehicle rolled into an intersection, but I wasn't able to accelerate for about 3-4 seconds. I was essentially sitting in an intersection blocking traffice waiting on the truck to respond.
Speedometer, cruise, odometer stopped working on/off.

The truck stalled out no power had to crash into shoulder of road and embankment. Glad we survived the bumpy crash, I just had suspension work done that saved us. We read the ipdm board or ecm relay is bad and causes this stalling to happen. Part number for ecm relay 284b7-cw29.

When trying to backup the truck the column gear shifter moved into reverse but the vehicle was still moving forward. Fortunately I didn't run over anyone but it could have easily happened in a busy parking lot. The gear shifter was moving up and down into every position but it was continuously engaged in drive. I drove home and parked. The shifter is still moving up and down; the gear indicator shows that the transmission is in "d" - drive but the vehicle is rolling as if it was in neutral and can't be started. There is a Nissan recall no. Ru403 but Nissan says my truck is not affected.

The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate from a complete stop, the service light and slip light illuminated then the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the technician stated that the throttle actuator and ecm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 77,250.

At all times when driving down the road the rear end of my truck shakes from 55-80 miles per hour (pretty much the usable speed range of the truck is now worthless). The truck wobbles so much now that it feels unsafe to drive even after numerous attempts to correct the problem I. E. New tires, new rims and new tires, balancing, alignments. Research that I have done has determined that this is a very wide-spread problem and many owners/operators of the Nissan Titan refer to this violent shacking as the "death wobble" I have spoke with my local Nissan dealership and have discovered that Nissan of America is not interested in addressing this epidemic that is effecting so many of the Titans they have manufactured. The problem is large enough that Nissan has published a TSB which includes necessary parts that must be purchased that may only alleviate the "death wobble" and not cure it. I am sad that Nissan of America is not standing behind its product to fix an issue that is clearly hazardous not only to the owner/operator of the Titan, but all those that are sharing the road with these affected vehicles. My personal note is that my truck feels so hazardous that I will no longer transport my wife or my 3 children in it and I think something should be done to fix this issue.
During routine recall for ecm module the dealer informed me that both exhaust manifolds are cracked as this has been a recurring issue with this model vehicle causing exhaust fumes to enter the cabin and also cause poor performance with the vehicle. Dealer quoted this as a $3200. 00 repair and will not assume any portion of the repair. Dealer "beaverton Nissan" has informed me that this issue is due to the poor quality of the exhaust manifolds any possible faulty welds on the product combined with material that is too thin to start with. The presence of exhaust fumes in the cabin while idling and/or driving is a severe safety hazard. I have opened a case with Nissan north America and have been advised by three independent mechanics to park the vehicle until it is safe to drive.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. The contact was attempting to park when the vehicle abnormally accelerated and crashed into a pole. The contact stated that before the failure, she noticed that the vehicle would seem to attempt to lunge forward when stopped. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 57,700 and the current mileage was 57,848.

2009 Nissan Titan suddenly and uncontrollably accelerated and when the brakes were depressed it did not stop the vehicle. The consumers son was driving the vehicle, when he intended to turn into a parking lot at his apartment and had come to a stop. After a car passed, he proceeded to turn into the parking lot. At that time, the vehicle suddenly and uncontrollably accelerated. He put his foot on the brake, but to no avail. The accident scene showed skid marks that he applied the brake. The vehicle proceeded and went through the wall of his living room, damaging the building and the vehicle. (lawyer wrote in on behalf client) updated 12/10/10.
Lower transmission hose to radiator cracks and releases transmission fluid due to vibrations and being inadequately supported, causing sudden loss of transmission. 1st time it happened while driving on highway with 45000-50000 miles and required transmission replacement, second time at 90000 miles.
The engine accelerates on its own after lifting the accelerator for one to five seconds. This occurs regularly and has caused two vehicle to object accidents. This occurs in traffic, slow speeds, high speeds, forward, reverse, and is easily recreated. Dealer tech could not find anything wrong that would cause this issue.
I had an accident in my 2006 Nissan Titan in July 08. I was pulling into a parking spot when the engine roared the truck quickly moved forward and I was unable to stop the truck. The only thing that stopped the truck was a cement spindle fence. I destroyed 10 feet of fence and my insurance had to pay for the damages. I took the truck to Nissan and they checked it, but they stated they were unable to duplicate the problem, they then performed the 30000 mile maintenance for approx $600. The Nissan service person told me that I must have pushed the gas and the brake at the same time to cause the accident. I then took the truck to an open field and pushed the brake and the gas pedal at the same time and the tires just spun and the truck did not move. I tried the same thing in an empty parking lot, the tires spun and the truck did not move. I ended up getting rid of the truck because I was afraid if the truck sped forward on its own again and I could not stop it I might get hurt or killed. I believe that there is some type of defect that caused the engine to roar and cause the truck to speed forward. I filed a police/accident report with the local police.
On 03/27/2006 driving to work in my 2005 Nissan Titan VIN# 1n6ba07a65n519341 pickup accelerated on its on. I was stop at a stop light merging in to traffic when it accelerated forward by it self and with my foot on the brake. When this accrued I tried to put it in to neutral, still nothing happen, even with both of my feet barring down on the brake the tires where burning rubber and I was still moving slowly forward. Finally I turned the ignition off and it shut down, I waited a few moments and tried to start the engine again. At this time it did it again and turn the engine off again, waited a few more minutes and tried again, at this time it started correctly and I drove it directly to kraft Nissan dealership for there service department. Kraft Nissan took the afternoon to look over the truck, at around 3:01 pm the service writer called and said that they could not duplicate the problem and my truck is ready to be picked up. I said that the problem is real and that they need to find it, they said if problem canã‚t be seen they canã‚t fix it. I talk with the service manager and then called Nissan and was basically told the same thing. The service manager said to drive the vehicle and if the problem happens again they can try to solve at that time. Also was told that my foot could have been on the brake and gas paddle at the same time, told him that would have been impossible because both of my feet where pressing the brake peddle to the floor board to stop the truck.
