Both rear axle seals are leaking on my 2006 Nissan Titan. The passenger side is so bad the gear oil has slung all over the wheel and the parking brake shoes are dripping wet.

Rear axle seals on my Nissan 2004 Titan have been replaced 4 times in the last 2 years, I just had them replaced and the new seals are leaking. This is due to a poorly designed axle by Nissan; of course they will not stand behind their poor design. The bulletin put out by the car manufacture is to replace the axle's being both sides in the rear at a cost of thousands should Nissan do the work. I find this very disturbing as do thousands of other 04, 05, 06 model year Titan owners. The real problem is if gone undetected by some, the rear can lose all of its oil causing the rear to lock up! this could and would kill people if the accident were bad enough. The second issue here is and I quote, “c'mon Nissan, stand behind your product and recall what could be a fatal situation here” unquote”. As much as I like the Titan, this issue has sickened me to the point that I will shop elsewhere when the time comes. Talk about passing the buck! I have seen the axle removed and rust pits form under the seal causing the leak. It is as though the metal used is from china.

My 2005 Nissan Titan's rear wheel seals are leaking and have had to have the seal, bearing and spacer replaced twice. They begin leaking and run down on the rear brakes and cause them to slip. There must be a defect in design here. I know of many other Titan owners are having the same problem.

Nissan Titan pickup truck- 5 spoke wheel spoke cracked. As the vehicle was driven to the dealership, the crack did worsen and caused increased vibration in the steering wheel. The dealership inspected the wheel for impact damage, non was observed. The 18in alloy wheel was replaced by dealership. No other wheel components, spokes had any damage. This is a mechanic breakdown of a tire-wheel component which will cause fatalities.
I have same problem as everyone else with cracked exhaust manifolds starting around 65000 miles. Expensive to replace so I have no choice but to listen to a horrible exhaust leaks. Next is the rear axle seals first around 65000. Replaced 2x. After talking to Nissan tech who is a friend apparently its a very common problem. The axle tubes tend to warp causing a leak all over tires n brakes and eventual failure of gears inrear pumpkin if not caught. Just waiting for it to happen again. Brakes have always been a problem. Every 7000 brakes n rotors r shot and need replacing. Pedal always has a mushy feel when u occasionally need to slam on the break. Goes all the way to the floor even when brakes r good.
