Popping noise heard in suspension and felt in steering column during left and right turns at slow speeds. Per Nissan dealership its because of a defective upper strut bearing, per the TSB's and complaints listed it could range from a number of issues including the intermediate shaft and linkage. The suspension on this vehicle has some serious issues that need to be addressed.

A clip broke on a universal joint on my wife's 2007 Nissan Versa. Grenada Nissan of grenada< ms said that it was a retainer clip, and that the entire steering column had to be replaced. . . This was in February, with little more than 800 miles on the vehicle. In November, the clip broke once again. My wife took the vehicle to cannon Nissan in greenwood ms, where they told her that it was a "manufacturer's" clip, that was supposed to break off! now, one dealership is telling us that a bolt will back off without this clip, while the other dealership is saying that this clip is not needed!.
