My car keeps having sensors go out. Such as the tire pressure sensor and fuel compression sensor I think is what they called it anyways. They start to go up a hill. And my car loses all speed and slows way down my traction control. Don't turn on when it's supposed to. And needs to my cruise control, quit working when this went out. And my engines started sounding louder, which is weird because it's the one variable transmission. I love this car. I really. I'm tired of replacing sensors, though. Why do they keep going out? I kind of need those sensors to keep the carving good and the tire sensor lets me know if my tires are going flat or not. And I don't know now. I have to constantly be checking my tires with it. Pressure gauge also may I ask how to find out value? I found out the carla. I'm buying this from has charged me 3 times more than it's claimed value that carmax says it's worth which honestly I love this car so much? it really doesn't bother me that they did. But at the same time, I'm having to spend all this money getting it fixed. Because things keep going out. Online it says that it's only worth maybe 6000 I'm paying almost 15000 plus I've paid out a pucket quite a bit and on top of that it has a warranty but I'm still having to replace things that are kind of strange to be going out. You've repeatedly what could be causing this to happen over and over.
I bought a used 2012 Nissan Versa from a third party at a very low mileage (46k miles), and it’s now at 54k, and the cvt is showing issues. Check engine light recently came on and I’ve always went to Nissan technicians and they said they’re surprised at 54k miles I’m even having this kind of an issue. However because of the age of vehicle and warranty expired in 2018 well after I purchased it, Nissan refuses to repair what they’ve seem to have poorly manufactured. I’m a student and cannot afford this kind of repair which was the sole purpose of purchasing a low mileage vehicle to begin with. The car is is in great condition, well taken care of, low mileage, but a broken down cvt? this is unacceptable.
Unknown.
In reference to NHTSA recall 15v-507 on this vehicle which included a cvt transmission reprogramming ,which I handled by taking vehicle to the dealer on 10/20/2015! the letter I received added this issue as if it were a courtesy action of Nissan and made no mention of the cvt transmission having major issues! as most car owners, I assumed that this 2015 cvt reprogramming would resolve any past or future issues with it. ! I was still concerned that my vehicle was only 3 years & already had 2 recall items! sadly, I trusted the dealer & once these were handled , I felt good about driving the vehicle, thinking it should go to about 150,000 miles! I have now learned that so many of the cvt transmissions were totally failing and lawsuits were being filed because of it. Apparently in 2017, Nissan admitted it and extended the warranty on cvt transmissions. If I ever received notice of this, I have no printed copy or memory of that! I lived 2 minutes from work in 2012 and retired a year after purchase. I primarily drive locally and short distances and have very low miles on this vehicle. Now. . My 6-week dilemma:*check engine light came on 7/9/22, right after I got gas! garage kept, only 52,000 miles on it, routinely serviced and in stellar condition, I am now being told that the cvt transmission needs total replacement. My car however, did pass nc inspection at a Nissan dealership (with check engine light still on) 7/21/22, with them giving a 4200. 00 estimate when I said I had no money, they sent me out the door and said they hope I don't break down! Nissan of north America is going totally by vehicle's age, even though I have found reference that the cvt warranty should be 10 years or 120,000! since 7/9/21, I have been given totally conflicting information on current safety of my car and the best offer given by Nissan is to reduce my repair cost to $2381. 09 for a rebuilt transmission with one-year warranty! my main concern: is my car safe to drive? I am 64!.
Horn issues horn isn't working car shuts off constantly multiple misfire codes reading permanent codes won't clear on code reader air bag light keeps blinking.
Upon purchasing my vehicle the frame bolt had rattled loose and the motor mounts were broke because of how hard the engine rattles.
When driving the car slows down to a crawl or just stalls and want pick up speed or while driving comes to a complete stop, also it makes a noise and when it rains it sounds like rain is trapped in the doors or walls of the car.
Muffler is rusted and the manufacture doesn't care keep saying it's your problem right now is broken and cat doesn't even have 60000 miles very upset.
I’ve had problems with this car from day one. All manor like ac and heater going out that’s ok. All issues I can deal with in time. But now this can’t handle I’ve had to actually stop driving my vehicle. The check engine light starts to flash then the car doesn’t want to shift feeping like your about to blow up the car if you go over 20mph. Transmission start to jerk and supper like your not get fuel or something. It’s been missing up so bad not to mention it’s freakin scary and you terrified you’ve got to pull it over. Turn off the car try again. I’ve had to leave my vehicle at random places multiple times too scared to drive it home. Now I tried to finally look at the problem to see what it might be happening cus nobody else seems to know what the issue is. And I see there several people with the same issue on the 2012 Nissan Versa.
Transmission is not changing gears like it is suppose to and stutters at stop signs and stop lights.
The key will not come out of the ignition and it is stuck. Nothing happened to cause this, it just happened. Took it to Nissan and they couldn't get it out. They took it apart for diagnostics and said the entire shift lever assembly needs replaced and it is $865 estimated repair.
The transmission does not work. It takes about 2 seconds before the car moves when you step on the gas.
The transmission completely quits working sometimes in the middle of driving down the road and then start back working just fine. It's like a dead paddle but I have replacement everything but the transmission. It has no check engine lights or abs codes. It will only allow rpms up to 1 until it comes back then it starts working again it even kick off the cruise control and started blinking.
My car had a r1709 recall. This was to fix the airbags. I took it to my local Nissan dealership to had the repair done. The waiting time I was told would be about 1 or 2 hours. It took about 5 hours and I was told it was because a new inexperienced mechanic was working on it. When I got my car back the lights telling me there is something wrong with the airbags were still blinking. I had no time to go back since they had just wasted all the time I had. The very next day I realized that now my car's horn doesn't work either. This was never a problem before. I called to tell them I believe they may have messed up the work they were supposed to do. They simply told me they did the work they had to and that if my car has additional issues it's not their problem. I even told them I find it hard to believe that all the car's airbags are failing at the same time and that now the horn doesn't make any sound right after I took it to get it fixed. I believe they did the wrong work on it which might explain why they took far longer than they were supposed to. They gave me no solution so I had to make a case with Nissan corporate. The only solution I was given by corporate was to take it back to the same repair shop and they will check it, however I will be charged for this, unless they find it was their error. I think its pretty obvious what they are going to say, so there is no way I can take it back to the same place that possibly screwed up in the first place so they can charge me to tell me they did a fine job. What I need is someone to check my car to see if they did the job they were actually supposed to do and not get charged for it.
I have a 2012 Nissan Versa and at 51,000 miles the transmission failed and will be upwards of $4,500 to repair. I went and got two options and both places said failed transmission and I went and saw pieces of it in the pan. I've had the car for a year and a half and bought it used.
Car drive with no power and has transmission problems.
The drivers side interior door handle does not open door. In order to open door to exit car at all (much less in an emergency) you must first keep car running, then engage power door lock to the unlock position, then roll down power window all the way in order to reach the exterior door handle and pull out away from the car. Note: the car had approximately 59000 miles on it. When notified in mid June 2019, Nissan customer 'advocate' instructed me to bring the problem to chula vista, CA. Dealer to verify the issue, document it then contact them with the result. When I did so and explained the safety issue and that I was instructed to go there by Nissan the service manager there said I'd be responsible for paying a $175 'diagnostic fee' since they claimed they needed to take off the door panel in order to estimate a cost to repair. When I explained that I was there at the behest of Nissan he insisted I still would be required to pay the fee but in this case he would authorize it to be credited toward the actual cost of repair should I choose to go forward with the repair. I was and am still not able to do so. . After several unresponsive attempts to relay all this to Nissan I believe some government action should be taken to force them to take this safety issue seriously enough to prevent any foreseeable tragedies.
My gear is stuck in reverse.
When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle did not accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle did not accelerate. A diagnostic testing was done on vechicle at dick smith Nissan columbia, s. C. Transmission problem detected. The failure milage was 90,000. . Vehicle was at the gas pump to fuel up will not move once shift to drive.
Takata recall Nissan Versa 2012 come with alot of electrical issues door locks wont open causing the doors not to open if this occurs when you have kids inside car can even cause death if you dont have anyone to provide immediate attention when it do this the car would turn on starts to shake and turns off and it can last doing this for an hour and also doors have a black door sealing band that comes off since I bought my car of it occurs with children it can stangle them ver y dangerous the electric issue can cause a car accodent of ot turn off highway or street it would do it when driving as well it may come from the fuse box under the front hood that its so hard and dangerouse to check.
Both the primary and secondary hood latches failed while driving down the highway at 60 mph. The hood flew open causing damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the mentor Nissan dealership who inspected the hood latches and indicated that the latches where bound up and the condition occurred through no fault of the vehicle owner and the condition was a major safety issue. Nissan consumer affairs would not authorize any repairs because there was no recall for this problem on the Versa, however there is a recall on the altima for the same issue. The binding of the hood latch on my Nissan Versa is the same condition that occurred on the altima. The coating applied to the hood latch by the latch manufacturer causes it to bind over time and not latch properly.
Transmission need to be replaced at 69000 miles.
I took it in for repair,to the Nissan CO. But now the horn does not work, do I take it back or who is to fix the horn, it was working at first,.
I was never notified of a recall on my vehicle (no. 15v-573) that was issued 09/10/15. It appears that it is still incomplete. How are they allowed to get away with not providing a remedy in a timely manner. And now another recall (no. 17v-449) says they don't even have a part to repair the defect (takata air bag inflator rupture). The first recall says the defect could result in damages that could result in a crash and the air bag deploying could result in death. What options are available when you can't trade in the car? also, I'm not allowed to take part in the class action because I haven't taken my vehicle to the dealership for repair yet (because I can't). Now I'm very anxious every time I get behind the wheel of my car.
Takata recall.
Front passenger air bag inflator housing to rupture and deploy abnormally. , this is a current recall issued 7/17/2017 and no word from them yet. I have a 2nd recall from 2015 that says Sep 10,2015 manufacturer recall numberpm565 NHTSA recall number15v-573 I was never notified and live in an affected state (IL) recall on your site says due to a production issue at the spring supplier, the front coil springs in certain Versa vehicles may have insufficient corrosion coating. Nothing has happened but I never received notice of either recall by Nissan.
My car is, what the dealership calls, grounded. Stating it is unsafe to drive. I received a recall. I have been without my car since then. It sits in a lot at the dealership with, what the parts manager told me, with a whole lot full of my year, make and model for this same reason. The other problem is the computer model, which has been on back order since 08/2017. On national back order I was told, which could be the next recall. I am checking by my VIN if this is the case. There are at least 8 recalls for this year Versa, depending on the VIN.
Takata recall . I was in a car acciendt on June 8, 2017 and my air bags did not work while I was in motion as I was being hit on the highway by another car and under my credit karma profile , its shows my car has five recall notices . How can this matter be resolved. I also have insurance papers to prove I filed a insuarce claim.
Cvt transmission. Car was in motion, could not accelerate from stopped at red light or stop sign. Took to Nissan in gainesville FL. . . Told it needed new transmission, quoted over 3500. 00. Car is unsafe to drive and puts occupants at risk for rear end collisions. Car has less than 110k. There is absolutely no excuse for this serious issue to be taking place. Had cvt flushed and reprogrammed prior (Dec 2016). And now this issue is happening. I have read many forums and complaints about this cvt nonsense and evidently safety is not a priori for Nissan. Bought car new and have been the only owner. . . . Have had other minor issues fixed when they happened, but a transmission that is faulty is unacceptable. Wrote a formal complaint to Nissan headquarters and have yet to receive a response on what they intend to do about the issue. . . Its faulty. This corporation should be held accountable and liable for neglect on their part. You don't jeopardize the safety of your consumers in this manner. Needless to say it has to be fixed next week. Understand people have livelihoods and jobs. . . . You expect when you take care of your vehicle, that it would last a lot longer than 110k. . . That's low mileage by today's standards. My son was in traffic when this happened and we should not have to worry about being slammed from the rear.
After being on the freeway for a about an hour, I finally took an exit and stopped at a red light. When I proceeded to accelerate at a green light, the vehicle did not accelerate even after pressing all the way down on the gas, but after about gen seconds it speeded up very rapidly and I quickly had to press on the brake in order to avoid crashing into a vehicle in front. It continued to do this at any stops I made until I arrived home. The next day I took the vehicle to the mechanic, as there was no check engine light that alerted me of any issues with the vehicle. Again I felt the vehicle take a bit to accelerate after coming to a stop but it was not like the night before, it was drive able. After leaving it at the shop they let me know that the transmission on the vehicle was the problem, it had to be replaced. A $4000 replacement on a 5 year old vehicle with only 103000 miles. I decided to drive back home and after driving for about 5 minutes, I was on a busy street and the car began to jerk. It would accelerate, decelerate, then accelerate again. I turned on my emergency lights to alarm vehicles behind me to proceed with caution, as my car would decelerate out of nowhere. Again the biggest issue was that the check engine light or any other light did not turn on. It wasn't until I got home that the light finally came on. The cvt transmission in this vehicle is unsafe, and the fact that drivers don't get any sort of alert as to a problem with their vehicle is unsafe. Physically my vehicle is not damaged, but it is a safety issue that these transmissions fail in the middle of a street.
On 8 March 2017, my battery died and I had it replaced at tj automatics & services. I drove the car for a few days before going on vacation. On 21 March 2017, as I'm driving home on the far (fast) left lane, on I-85n, atlanta, GA. At approximately 3:30pm, the car shuts-down. I was able to coast over to the emergency lane without incident. I had the car towed to the above mentioned shop and they performed a diagnostic test that showed ecm no communication. They replaced a maxi fuse 20a and reprogramed key. On 23 March 2017, I pick up the car from the shop, drove about 5 miles and car shuts-down again. As of 9 April 2017, the car is still in the shop. They can not figure out what is causing this issue.
Transmission it shift high and lower gear.
Takata recalls my car was stationary this morning at red light with my foot on the break waiting for the light to change. After the light change I took my foot off the break and on the gas and the vehicle went backward. Praise god the car behind me moved over to the next lane, I look at my shift and it was still in drive, and sometimes although I have my foot on the break the vehicle tired to move.
My hatchback will not open. One day it worked and now wont. Do not have key fob option.
Tamara recall. Coil spring may corrode and make cause rush crash.
