I rented a Nissan Versa and was driving at dusk. I didn't realize that I had not turned on the driving lights until it was quite dark. The problem is that when the lights are off, the interior lights look like you would expect with the lights on. . . I. E. , the interior is fully lit up. The driving instruments are lit up. Everything looks normal for nighttime driving. . . . Except that when I pulled over, I see that the exterior has no lights on whatsoever. To be clear, the lights were working fine. If you turn them on, they come on. But it's very dangerous that the car somehow always has the interior lighted, or perhaps it happens with a light sensor, leading you to not realize you have not turned on the exterior lights.
