My roof dents extremely easily and it seems after searching the internet this appears to be somewhat of a problem with this model and I am sure there is some type of pressure rating it should conform to to be safe? I had a pretty big dent appear out of nowhere one day on the car roof we noticed and not sure how it got there; like it just indented itself--no damage to paint, really looked like someone landed on it with their butt? I put just some relatively minor pressure on the roof to see about popping it out and dented it with my elbows when trying to test to pop it back out?.

Hood latch allowed hood to fly open at 30 mph, causing $3100 worth of damage to car, potentially causing serious other vehicular/occupant injuries. Apparently the latch was inadvertently engaged, but the secondary latch did not hold and let the hood fly open. This incident happened 8/2023 but was not reported to Nissan and while estimate was obtained, repairs were not made.

I was hit from the side. The collision was pretty bad, my car was totaled. It was the the front of the passengers seat. At the speed the crash happened, the force with which I was hit and the damage to the car I was unpleasantly surprised that the airbags did not deploy, they could have prevented injury. My car was in forward motion on a highway, I was hit by a turning car.

There are serious design flaws on the 2018 Nissan Versa that allow water (I. E rain) to collect below the windshield and when the collected water doesn't drain it floods the car on the front passenger side. There is a water gutter under the windshield wipers that runs from each side of the car. It has two very small drains on each side. The drains get plugged by dust, dirt, etc. Normal stuff that can get on the car, and the water collects and builds up in the gutter. There is a hole for some cables in this area, above the gutter that the built up water can flow through right on the passenger floor behind the glove compartment. The water drains out especially when the car is moving/in motion. If there is a heavy rain, the entire car floor get flooded. The health danger is the water has nowhere to go inside the car and gets musty and moldy. This can be fixed for approx. $600, however it will likely happen again because all is done is unplug the small drain holes. Nissan allowed a serious design flaw in the 2018 Versa sedan that leads to flooding and wet floorboards, a drain that is prone to clogging, and a hole for water to flow inside the car. I found other compliants about this on google. My car damaged happen April 2020, and other car owners has happened in 2019. Please help us.
My Nissan Versa only has 34,464 miles and the welding between my flange and muffler snapped and broke. I was driving and the welding broke.

The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that after driving over a pothole or rough road surface, the vehicle would jump or skip towards the left or right. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who stated that the subframe and bushings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
Outer door handle on passenger side came off. Dealer fixed it and I paid for repair. Handle came odd 4 days later. I returned to dealer and was told a part needed to be replaced that is broken and the additional charge would be 350. 00. I feel this should have been taken care of when I first went to dealer. I am requesting the handle be replaced by dealer no charge since it was not properly repaired when I first took it in. That part should have been replaced when they initially so fixed it.

The car was in a low speed accident under 30 mph on the 14th street bridge in washington d. C. And the entire front of the cars was crushed. The other vehicle in the crash had minor damage to the rear consistent with the speed of the vehicles. Also, the air bags deployed late, several seconds after the crash when the occupants were getting out of the vehicle when the vehicle was stationary.
The driver side door handle has come completely out. Have to open from inside in order to get in the car.
The hatch on my Nissan Versa is stuck and won't open. It won't unlock and there is no key access and no button or lever inside the car to open it.

My car jerks when I put it in drive. Also, when I let push for the gas, it jerks. This is when I first get off the gas. Then when I get to fourty miles, it jerks again. My malfunction lamp light comes on. I took it at one of the auto zones in fayetteville nc. The associate check it with a machine. It came up p285a clutch b pressure disengagement performance. Then, I took it to a certified mechanic. He checked it with his machine, he said it is my transmission. I feel Nissan should fix my transmission.

My passenger door has been catching on something as it opens. The black plastic piece that stretches out as you open the door is visibly scratched, as if it is catching on metal in the door. The window also has been getting stuck and would not roll down all the way. This weekend the door was hard to open, and when I opened the door, the window got off track. My boyfriend and I tried to see if we could move it, but did not want to mess it up any more than it already was. He went to roll it down just a little, and the whole window shattered. I dont know what caused this, because the car has never been in an accident. The car was off and parked.
While driving, I was going about 25mph, but was coming to an intersection. Before getting to the intersection the light was blinking yellow due to the time so I started to slow down so I could yield through the light. At this time, my son who was 3yrs 2mo old (at the time) was in the backseat in his carseat. As I gradually stepped on the brake pedal, I then felt a big slam, and my face smacked the airbag and dust flew all over my vehicle, and son in the backseat who didnt have an airbag deploy. As I came to realize what happened my son was in the backseat screaming and I had smoke coming from my hood. I hit a city light pole outside of a 7-eleven store. I was unsure of what happened that caused the accident, but after it happened I got out of my car in complete shock of what hit me. My son was in pullups, and the gel stuff inside the diaper had flew all over my car as it caused the seatbelt to tighten around his legs. I grabbed my son out of the car, because it was smoking and the first thing I should have done was not moved. When I got out of car to see what hit me, I stayed on the sidewalk and waited 35mins for a cop, so by the time the cop came, who never called ems, told me I was being cited and they took my vehicle to the impound lot. The car then was considered totalled and because I was in an accident, gasoline was leaking and they said it was considered hazardous. I didn't nor did my child receive medical attention because we did not have medical insurance at the time but the officer didnt call ems. I then had to pay to get my things from the vehicle from the impound lot, and they were treating me very poorly about what I could grab and what had to left with it. I also had to pay court costs, and fines and due to this accident, I have suffered trauma, and my son im sure has also. My body has major pains as well as my legs, hips, neck and severe lower back pain. I am unable to care for my child as he needs at times because my body hurts so bad, I cant help.

Both the primary and secondary hood latches failed while driving down the highway at 60 mph. The hood flew open causing damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the mentor Nissan dealership who inspected the hood latches and indicated that the latches where bound up and the condition occurred through no fault of the vehicle owner and the condition was a major safety issue. Nissan consumer affairs would not authorize any repairs because there was no recall for this problem on the Versa, however there is a recall on the altima for the same issue. The binding of the hood latch on my Nissan Versa is the same condition that occurred on the altima. The coating applied to the hood latch by the latch manufacturer causes it to bind over time and not latch properly.
Took my car to the garage to have it inspected and was told I was going to need my engine cradle/ subframe replaced. When I took it to the garage to get it fixed he told me it should not have rusted out that bad for a 2007 and was surprised to find no recall on this issue.
Handle on door came off recall on air bags.
No takata recall. Also muffler failed after 37,000 miles requiring huge cost to repair mulffler and a pipe.

The driver side door keeps breaking and it is not possible to open the door from the inside. In case of an emergency you have to roll down the window and find the door handle. This was repaired once and is now broken again on 2 doors.

Starting hearing a rattling. After further looking it was discovered that on the front driver's side of the vehicle near the tire wheel and under the hood all but two of the rivets are gone. The plastic piece over the wheel well is also scrubbing the tire.
Me and my family were inside the house and heard an explosion. We ran outside and noticed that the passenger side tire exploded and blew the tire well and fender off. The vehicle was just sitting in the yard. I called the ouachita parish sheriff's office. A deputy came out and determined that there was no criminal activity. I filed and auto insurance claim and have to wait up to 48 hours for a response.
Was driving down the street and I heard a loud bang then my car veered off to the right. Luckily I wasn't on a busy road and was able to pull it all the way over. The front of my car basically collapsed onto the passenger corner. It was covering my tire and I couldn't move the car. Apparently the strut broke and had to get an alignment. Also, the engine light won't turn off after I put gas in. The gas cap will not screw on right. My door handles keep popping off. My seatbelt keeps getting stuck. And my tire light won't turn off when nothing is wrong with it.
Muffler clamp got rusted out and broken. This is made out of stainless steel which got rusted where as remaining muffler is rust proof.
Takata recall - the car blew up on the side of the road - was driving heard a pop, pulled over to the side of the road seen fire from under car then car blew up.
