Vehicle Speed Control Problems of Nissan Versa - part 2

My car stalled while backing up in heavy gravel. I started out and did not notice that my car was not accelerating. I pulled out into a 65 mph road and began shifting and realized my car was not accelerating. It was a road where pulling over was dangerous. I found an area and turn the car off. I restarted (fixed it when 1st occurrence happened). Got back on the road and again my car was not accelerating above 25-30 mph. Pulled out off the road shut the car off and waited 2-3 minutes and again restarted and the car resumed working properly. This was extremely dangerous due to the road not having safe pull outs. This is the second time this has occurred in my new car.

I had stalled my car and after I restarted it my car had a significant loss of power. I shifted and car would not accelerate at all top speed was 25-30 mph. I had my gas pedal depressed and no change in speed/ I limped to a dealership turned car off and restarted and car was back to normal. This vehicle was 2 days from purchase and less than 500 miles on it. I reported to dealer and was never called back for instructions on how to proceed.

I carry my family with me and in traffic the traction control light would come on and the car would loose power and not accelerate almost causing accidents I was told it was the speed sensors malfunctioning and the brakes would not work properly when trying to stop.

I carry my family in the vehicle and the lights would come on for the traction control and check engine light and speed sensor light and the car would stop moving and shut off while going down the road and the brakes would barely work and the transmission would stop pulling or slip and the engine would not rev up that is really dangerous when your traveling with traffic something needs to be done about this and I have read alot of other complaints about the same problems that other people are having.

The check engine lamp light came on and vehicles current shift lamps not visible. Vehicle began to slip gears and rev at high rpm. Risk of taking kids to school and myself to work was resolved by parking the car back in driveway. The car diagnostic machine put out code p0705 transmission range sensor a circuit. Also our vehicle is available for further inspection.

All the dash lights come on car acceleration will either speed up or slow down on its own the transmission slips shakes and stalls at red lights.

I purchased my car 2 years ago from a used car dealership. It began to give me problems a few months after that. I then took my car to Nissan to be reprogrammed for free back when there was an open recall on my car when I found out it had too many miles for the warranty that would allow the transmission to be replaced. I've been driving it since and doing normal maintenance on it regularly. It recently began giving me trouble. I had to pull off the interstate because it would not accelerate and could have easily gotten into a car accident. I took it back to the dealership where they will be performing a diagnostic study on the car.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle seemed sluggish, and the vehicle failed to accelerate above 30 mph. The contact stated that several times, the vehicle was driven to the shoulder and the vehicle was turned off. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the vehicle was driven without further failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,300.

My car had a problem from day one I bought. The tires always showing not working and car has absolutely no power if you going on hill. From last year car having really serious problems with transmission and shuffling. I took car to Nissan car dealership and the are reprogrammed transmission. Unfortunately after a few weeks the same problem and even worst. Car making absolutely horrible noises and speed not going more then 15-20.

Cvt transmission doesn’t shift in high gear.

After having my transmission replaced with a used cvt transmission on Dec 2021, I went to leave the transmission shop only to have no power. When I gave my vehicle gas, there was no power it would not go forward or backwards. The code repeatedly coming up was p2101. My car was in the shop for 4 months with williams transmission in park hills, mo 63601. (573) 431-6570. Every time willie would call & say it’s fixed & I would go try driving g home, again same issue. Finally on March 23, 2022 I was called once again to come pick up my car after hack v another used cvt transmission put in still the same code p2101 was coming up with the check engine light. It took me 40 mins to go home occasionally getting evcrlation to make it home, it should’ve took no more than 10 mins from his shop to my house. . I paid $3000 to have transmission replaced and still isn’t running correctly. I lose excelaration on highway, county & city tosds. I never know when!! it’s a big issue & major safety issues & concerns.

Backing up out of a parking space the lights started flashing cruise control air bag horn started blowing whole dash lit up when I straightened the vehicle the horn stopped. Got to my destination backed up a few feet as soon as I turned the wheel and attempted to put it in drive the airbag deployey. I did not hit anything. The airbag deployed for some unknown reason. Fearful car might catch fire very startling called 911 fire dept disabled battery had the vehicle towed and reported the issue to Nissan. I also reported this on Sunday after it happened.

I stopped at an atm when I backed out of space cruise control lights started flashing horn going off air bag light flashing passenger door clicking. Made it to store parked car got horn to stop. When I backed up out of space and turned wheel air bag deployed. Lights flashing horn sounding alarms. Turned off vehicle call 911 fire department came to see if no danger of fire and if I was ok. Called ins company set up cv claim because air bag deployed for no apparent reason hit me in the chest possibly due to electrical something malfunctioned. Police also came but said I did not need to report anything because I did not hit anything. Called geico had vehicle towed and because air bag deployed they created a claim. Had vehicle towed to firestone but they were closed today adjuster from insurance company coming out tomorrow 892021 to assess damage and repairs needed.

Vehicle is moving in forward direction always even if the gear shift is in park or reverse mode. It is scary. It put us lot of stress in terms of physical health, mental health and finance. We nearly met with an accident as vehicle was moving always in forward direction as soon as we moved the car from the parking lot. We towed the vehicle considering our and public safety. Contacted Nissan dealership and consumer affairs team. They went only by the books. Told that there is no recall. They did not seem to care about the safety. They asked me to go ahead and shell out for fixing. The same vehicle stopped in the middle of the road with heavy jerk/forward movement. We were lucky that we did not meet with an accident. We had to tow the vehicle in that case. I had to replace fuel pump at my own cost. With multiple safety concerns on this vehicle, I am surprised that there is no recall on this model. At the least, I was expecting this for my VIN. Request you to help on the recall considering the public safety. With vehicle few thousand dollars worth still, I may need to review and make a choice on disposing this vehicle (not sell) by taking the financial hit. Financial hit in this uncertain situation means a lot to me. It puts pressure. Since I care about public safety, I am reviewing this as the last choice. Nissan does not seem to be worried as there is no recall. Correct option is to have this vehicle recalled. Request you to review and help from safety perspective.

Throttle is impaired; p2138 very dangerous when accelerating across traffic and suddenly there is only partial throttle command. This now has happened twice.

Car is experiencing transmission problems including: shifting problems, hesitation on acceleration, delayed shifting, lack of power, shuddering, revving and/or surging rpms, etc.

When driving the car slows down to a crawl or just stalls and want pick up speed or while driving comes to a complete stop, also it makes a noise and when it rains it sounds like rain is trapped in the doors or walls of the car.

The problem in my car is ethier the transmission or transmission control module. The transmission started slipping and then suddenly on the hey of 395 north bound it simply just wouldn't do anything it had no reaction at all right in the middle of the freeway and there I was stuck people at 65-70 miles an hour whizzing by me not to mention simi trucks. Tge reason I am writing is I looked up the problem at it is a very common problem with this year and make of the car. I went to Nissan here in reno nv and they will not honor the recall sayes it is because of a branded title. The car had been wrecked only damaging the front bumper. Nothing to the motor or transmission was rebuilt but because it had previously been turned in as an insurance claim Nissan of reno will not honor the recall. Any damage that was done was cosmetic not to the motor or transmission. I would like to know if Nissan should honor the recalls on my vehicle. It has 98,000 miles on it and falls under the 10 year under 120,000 miles. The service person I talked to treated me like I was dumb and pretty much pushed me out the door and told me that they don't have to honor it. I am tempted to get ahold of previous owner to see if his insurance claim had anything to do with this transmission issue. It has one complaint after another on youtube over this very issue. Please help me I don't know what to do. Thank you.

I was driving about 30 miles/hour, there was a sound and the car shut down, engine stopped, lost power steering and brake became heavy, no lights in speedometer and indicators went off/black screen. Brakes were soft but I was able to stop. I restarted the engine and I was able to drive. Then I was on a freeway about 20 min later, driving 65 miles/hour and the car made a big noise, shook as if I drove on a pothole, and it was the same thing. No engine, accelerator didn't work, I was coasting, lost power steering, and hard to push down breaks. Power in the panels were off. I was able to use emergency signal, pulled over eventually and waited for about 3-4 min. Before restarting the car. It worked again and I was able to drive. The same thing happened last year, and today it happened twice. Both times, it was a hot day.

Every single day multiple times a day my abs light comes on cars transmission jerks around or whatever it is. I have to pull over and turn vehicle off and restart to drive again. I may have to do that a few times in a mile. I think it's a safety concern. It could be in motion or stopped car wants to lunge forward.

The transmission on this vehicle jerks at times making the vehicle lunge forward. It also does not engage from a stop or slow speed placing me in danger of being hit by the vehicles hesitation. When going up a hill the transmission does not engage or slips prior to engaging so I have no power to go up the hill. The transmission slips at a stop sign so when I pull out I never know if I will be stuck in the way of traffic. This transmission is dangerous. When turning the transmission does not engage for a short time jerking the vehicle.

I’ve had problems with this car from day one. All manor like ac and heater going out that’s ok. All issues I can deal with in time. But now this can’t handle I’ve had to actually stop driving my vehicle. The check engine light starts to flash then the car doesn’t want to shift feeping like your about to blow up the car if you go over 20mph. Transmission start to jerk and supper like your not get fuel or something. It’s been missing up so bad not to mention it’s freakin scary and you terrified you’ve got to pull it over. Turn off the car try again. I’ve had to leave my vehicle at random places multiple times too scared to drive it home. Now I tried to finally look at the problem to see what it might be happening cus nobody else seems to know what the issue is. And I see there several people with the same issue on the 2012 Nissan Versa.

In may 2020, purchased 2013 Versa used for daughter. On 1/1/2021, the gas pedal would not accelerate and at same time the rpm needle jerked up & down. Took car to mechanic and he said it seems to be related to transmission. This is terrifying because the car is jerking & not accelerating while she was driving(in motion). I did observe that another complaint was made 10/25/2018 by car VIN# similar to our car-that complaint was VIN 3n1cn7ap8dl. . . . Please help.

There is a lot of hesitation when I press the gas pedal, often shaking and shuddering. It's very slow to accelerate, and getting to highway speeds usually takes quite a while. Anything over 65mph causes the car to push into about 3500 rpm. While idling at a red light, it shakes and shudders.

Gearshift will not come out of park, have to manually unlock the gearshift with a paper clip; car will not accelerate correlational to the gas pedal, and the rpms go really high on inclines/hills. . . Nissan saying not responsible/no recalls, but I'm still getting 'claims notices' from gm economic settlement claims center. . . The Nissan dealership told me to "disregard" the notices coming in the mail. . . .

The car dont runs good!, have problems with the tranmsission only have 47,677 miles, o think have warranty!.

While driving in town my 2009 Nissan Versa hatchback lost power, couldn't accelerate and panel idiot lights came on. I was able to pull over safely. I tried restarting it but nothing. About 15 minutes later, I tried again and several times it almost started but died out. Had to get car towed. When tow truck driver got in vehicle it started for him and kept running so he drove it onto the tow truck and took it to the garage. The technician scan teste on board computer, all sensors and sensor string, up to 1/2 hour diagnostic time check performance of sensors, check fuel delivery system. Pressure test steady 50 psi, road tested 14 miles to verify or additional needed repairs. Codes set. No codes. Couldn't find anything. Car running fine. Additional notes: vehicle has approx. 70,000 mi. Always keep half to full tank of gas and serviced. This is not good! fear that the car can just quit at any time and can possibly be in an accident.

On approximated on February 02, 2020 on the north bound 215 fwy existing fwy off ramp on newport blvd in menifee CA, when my 2016 Nissan Versa stall, it's on drive and not moving. No warning signs of any mechanical issues, no engine light on. I turned off the engine and restarted then I was able to drive but the rpm is moving up and down. I pulled over to the nearest gas station and called my roadside assistant through geico. The next day I drove the vehicle to pedder Nissan dealership for a diagnostic of the vehicle. The service dept return my call and notified me that my transmission is out on a less than four years old vehicles that I purchased brand new from this dealership. The dealership & Nissan consumer affair have both have given me the runs around. I see there bulletin for my vehicle model and year. I need assistance, please.

Problems with transmission. Rpm go very high and it won't switch gears, then after struggling it will switch gear but jerk the car very hard and you can hear it switch very hard. It does does in the street and highway. Makes me very concerned about getting on a highway and my transmission failing to switch to higher gears and other cars hitting me for not being able to go into faster speeds. The vehicle is not even at the 50k miles yet.

No gears worked I was traveling on arizona hwy 60 with cars going 75 miles an hour. I was headed west to phoenix for 17 hwy and I was between exits 152 and 153 that is where highway patrol when they arrived could stop traffic and use their vehicle to push mine to the side of the road. I had been driving in the middle lane and cars or trucks could have killed me even though I had my flashers on until highway patrol arrived. I have reports. The sudden malfunction of the major components on a new vehicle purchased on February 27th from jim click Nissan in tucson arizona. The car was manufacturered in mexico at one of Nissan's plants (aqua).
