Stock road tires are 205x55/16 - diameter of 24. 9”. Stock spare tire is 125x70/15 - diameter of 21. 9”. The spare tire is 3” smaller than the road tire or 17. 9% smaller. Checking other marques, the spare typically is less than 7% smaller and some web sites say 3% is a good limit. I am aware of the 50 mile, 55 mph limits. Is it safe to put the spare tire on a front wheel position of this fwd car? Nissanusa refers all questions to the local dealer who says no problem. Thank you.

My tires go flat every time I put in my rim caps. I spent so much money on new tires, thinking it was the tires but it’s actually my rim caps cutting where my air goes in at. I had to take all of the caps off and I’m still having problems. Besides that, it does not notify you when you need an oil change, my first time going…I could’ve messed up my car. Glad I went in early enough!!! and when I plug my charger piece up, smoke begins to come from it. . I always have to take it out.

While driving I noticed a loud humming noise starting at 40 mph and later determined that the wheel bearings would need to be replaced . Upon researching the issue I discovered that this is a common issue among this model of car starting as early as 10k miles. My mechanic also stated that it is unusual for this part to be replaced so early in the life of the vehicle but if the part in question would have experienced a total failure the entire wheel falls off of the vehicle.

The vehicle has difficulty slowing down while driving. And brakes seem not to stop the car (weakened brake pads) it felt like I was losing control of the car. Also the car would loose power when stationary at stop lights. This could be very dangerous if this occurred on a highway or while in motion. I hope they don't rent vehicle out until mechanical issues are solved.

Rear coil springs broke for similar reasons that the front coil springs break. (front coil springs are currently under recall). Rear coil springs broke causing a flat tire. Rear coil springs needed to be replaced to safely drive the vehicle; and the flat tire needed replaced. Rear coil springs were not properly manufactured and coated. The vehicle was in motion, on a township road.

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Nissan Versa. While driving various speeds, the vehicle jerked to the right. There were no warning indicators displayed on the instrument panel. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road to inspect the tires for knots. Nissan south of union city (4080 jonesboro rd, union, city, georgia 30291, (770) 964-4900) was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to firestone (4599 jonesboro rd, union city, georgia 30291, (770) 225-1531) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was improperly aligned and that all four tires needed replacement. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.
I live in the kansas city metro, on the kansas side, less than 10 minutes from the border to missouri. There is a current recall that applies to the front coil springs of Nissan Versas (NHTSA recall 17v-637) because the springs have insufficient corrosion coating. This current recall applies to missouri but not kansas. I drive my car in missouri all the time because of my proximity to missouri and my husband is employed in missouri. My front, right coil spring broke on March 17, 2018. The coil spring broke when backing out of my parking spot at my apartment in a lot that is relatively new and flat, meaning no pot holes. A loud bang was heard and when moving there was a loud creaking sound. After pulling out about 3 feet I pulled back in and turned the car off. I found a round metal object on the ground near the front with rust on it. It was flat on one end and broken on the other. After inspecting the front passenger side's wheel well I discovered that the remaining part of the coil spring had slipped off the strut lip and part of the coil was pressing hard against the tire. The appearance of the coil spring still on the car matched the one I had found. A mechanic and tow truck operator verified it was in fact the coil spring that had broken. The attached images are of the front passenger side wheel well with coil spring visible and of the coil spring part that broke off.
Tacit recall . This car has a air bag light blinking and also a tire pressure light blinking too . I know that Nissan waiting for parts to start calling cars in to fix this issue with air bags , what I should do in case of an air bag blow out . My daughter use this car for school and work .
Air bag indicator lights flashing in red tire inflator light stays on.

Tl the contact owns a 2009 Nissan Versa. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle spun out of control without warning. The vehicle turned completely around to the point that the contact and her family were facing towards traffic. The vehicle crashed into the bushes on the shoulder. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries. A police report was not filed. The rim was bent over the rear driver's tire. The vehicle was repaired and the wheels were replaced by the contact's local mechanic. The crash was related to NHTSA campaign number: 15v573000 (suspension). The failure mileage was 100,000.
Takata recall, have been experiencing delays in barking procedures, like the pedal is stuck and my foot or heel has gotten stuck even when I have distance myself enough car distance from a car in front of me. Have put me in a situation that I had ton use the emergency brake, feel pressure all the time, when I out the car in revers, there is a noise in the shifting of gear to reverse, this has caused close calls to me being in a severe accident, this has happened on more than one occasion, I was involved in an accident in February 2018, fortunately I was not the cause of the accident,.
Hello. About two years ago I bought a pair of kumho solus kh25 tires form a local tire shop. While traveling to visit family for the fourth of July, 1 of the tires, mounted on the front, had a it tread separation while driving on the interstate highway. Although the dealer said there was no warranty on the tire, which I am ok with, I feel that the brand of tire may have to be recalled because with today's anvanced technology this should not have happened. Your thoughts on this matter are appreciated . Thank you doug hastings 1-828-421-3765 453 middle skeenah rd franklin nc 28734.
My car is under 100,000 miles and failed inspection due to sub frame bushing missing. The mechanic told me these parts usually last for up to 200,000 miles. He also told me my tire could've come right off the car with this part missing. This could've cause a major accident or fatality! can you please look into this. I've down some research and have found lots of Versas from 2007-2009 models have been having the same problems.
Front coil spring shattered tearing up front tire this exact problem was noted for Versa in recall 15v573000 date 09/14/2015. My car was not included in the recall. It appears that the recall was to limited. After getting car repaired Nissan has refused to pay for my repair costs stating the car was not included in recall. Luckily I pulling out of my driveway when the spring exploded. I think the recall was to limited and I should be reimbursed to my expenses.
Too bouncy when driving and squeeking sound when driving slow on curves un even that occurs before I got the Nissan Versa 2012.
I had replaced 3 of 4 tpms since I owned the car and the sensors were cracked and leaking air not from the valve stem but the actual sensor itself the repair shop stated to me.
Takata recall. Low tire sensor is not functioning properly. This dysfunction occurs when the mornings are cold, and will at times not reset itself. When the "low tire"error is displaying, other display will not function. This may occur while the vehicle is stationary or in motion.

When driving the car at speeds 40mph and above, the car does not stay in the lane. This car is continuously pulling to the left out of the lane towards cars in the middle lane, with no control to correct, then pushed to the right out of lane, back and forth my whole ride with no subsiding. The issue at times escalates by getting out of control while driving straight on any road, going back and forth left to right very fast and short by itself with the steering wheel centered. For this issue I'm needing to wait for the correction and slow down the car. The front tires are continuously getting thrown out of alignment as soon as I drive it following servicing. I have had 4 service appointments for alignments and balancing within a 2 week time frame, replaced tires, and brought to Nissan directly for a diagnosis with no change to this safety issue. I do not believe the alignment is the root cause of this safety problem. In addition, when a car or any vehicle drives by my car on any road, more severe on the highway, my car is pushed across my lane and there is no windy conditions. This does occur on the highway and local streets. It is also apparently visible to other drivers as I see cars from behind me move to the middle lane, speed up and pass me in the far left of their lane, then cut me off. I do not believe again that this is a wheel issue, and I do not know what is the root cause of this is however what I do know is that it is not safe for myself or others on the road. I have an opened complaint with Nissan consumer affairs and so far their response has been, go back to Nissan for another alignment, to which I have had several already with no change to the root problem.
Please tell the government or whoever is the biggest boss of car manufacturer Nissan to punish Nissan severely and extremely for making unsafe cars that puts consumer a t a severe safety risk. For their transmissions, shocks, struts, everything in the car. Ever since I got the car in October 2016 I have to bring it to the shop every 2-3 months, there is always something wrong with the car, October 2019 I had to replaced the fan, before that the motor mounts, the shocks needs to be replaced, the struts too, the airbag light came on and stays on, multiple problems with the car. . Replaced the transmission before and the transmission needs to be replaced again. The car jiggles, waddle, the shock, struts, gets starts to worn out at 20,000 miles, at 50, 60, 70, 80,000 miles the car extremely unstable when driving on the highway. It feels so light, feels like its wheels will break or pull off to one side. Car is physically unstable and bounce way too much. The car motor mounts makes so much clicking noise, brakes terrible. Major car safety hazard. 90. 000 miles currently car is not safe to drive due to transmission problems mechanic said and I cannot repair it. Please make Nissan refunded me my money & take full responsibility for their faulty car. Their is a current class action lawsuit against them for their faulty transmissions will stop working on the Nissan Versa and sentra cars from 2013-2017 year models. And even if you replace the transmission it will fail after 30,000 miles. Please make Nissan pay for their fraudulent car parts that they made that is going to not work soon. For a month I also drove a 2019 Nissan sentra rental brand new car at 1000 miles. At 5,000 -7,000 miles the car transmission makes so much noise. Nissan sentra and verssa cars are not safe. Nissan needs to be punished extremely and severely for putting people's safety at risk. .
Takata recall I was notified last summer about a recall on the air bag and was told not to have passengers in the vehicle due to the potentially fatal flaw. This is my only vehicle and I have a family that needs rides. I contacted the dealer recently and was told they don't have the parts and that Nissan wasn't allowing them to order the parts. I contacted Nissan and they tell me the parts are not available until some time in 2017. This is unacceptable that they are aware of the risk and are not expediting this repair to be performed. They basically give me the impression they don't care and they are not in a hurry to get this done. I expected this potential fatal flaw in the vehicle to be repaired ASAP not when they feel like it. This needs to be expedited because if anything does occur and their is injury or death it is on you and Nissan for not getting this taken care of in a very timely manner. I also have the tire pressure monitor system which I understand now is a federal regulation to have equipped on vehicles. This system is very faulty and does not work and extremely expensive to repair. I think if the federal government is going to require this they need to make sure the equipment is reliable and not a high cost to repair.
I rented a car from dollar car rental. As I was driving at the posted speed limit, the tire tread separated from the tire. I have contacted both the rental car and the tire manufacturer. The tire manufacturer did not even acknowledge receipt of my correspondence. I know this has been a problem in the past. I have asked the rental car company for car maintenance records to help determine whether it was a maintenance issue or a tire issue. When I rented the car, it had approximately 36,000 miles. I look forward to understanding how I file a report of this potentially very dangerous issue.
Driving on a two lane road heard a pop, car sudden pull right front end hitting a ditch on the side of road front end sliding down in the ditch coming to a stop in a vertical position. The air bag didn't deploy.
This is a 2010 Nissan Versa. I bought the car brand new. Has 35k miles on it. Already replaced transmission in 2013. Have had numerous tire issues that the mechanics can't seem to figure out, when I take it to the dealer, they want to charge high dollars and the issue still exists. Today while backing straight out of my driveway I heard a huge bang followed by the car not moving forward or backwards. My neighbor came out and informed me that the ball joint on the right front passenger side had snapped. He also indicated that this shouldn't happen to a car from 2010 and with such low mileage. This car has been a nightmare and money pit.
The left tire keeps the tmps light on, the place I purchased the car from sent me to a tire place to figure out the problem, since the light keeps coming on. . . The tire shop found out the tire's stem sensor is leaking air. They found the air escaping after the water on the tire search to find air escaping.
