Air Bag Problems of Nissan Versa Note

After arriving home, I stopped in my driveway and waited for the front passenger to exit. The vehicle was still running and may not have been in park. Immediately after the passenger exited and closed the door, the passenger curtain airbag and passenger seat airbag deployed unexpectedly. The vehicle was stationary and had not been involved in any collision. This sudden deployment posed a serious safety risk — anyone still inside or near the vehicle could have been injured. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership, where technicians scanned the airbag system. I am awaiting additional diagnostic results or a written report. The manufacturer has indicated the situation is considered “out of warranty,” though I believe it represents a safety defect. The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed as a known defect by the dealer or manufacturer. There were no warning lights, error messages, or other symptoms prior to the deployment. The failure occurred immediately after the passenger closed the door, with no prior indication of any malfunction. The airbags and related components remain available for inspection.

The car was parked over night and it was raining that night. The next day I went to move the car, started & warning lights went on. The windshield wiper water trough got clogged due to tree leafs falling in & the water overflow & entered the car by the air vent in to the car floor the 360-deg. Camera system module under the carpet, under the front passenger seat. It drowned in rain water. Causing the car computers to mel function. Drove it to a mechanic & that is when he told me that I need to replace the camera module & the air bag module. I was not able to go faster then 15 or 20 mph in the hway & lost my left & right signal flashers. 1) car mfg should put a leaf filter screen in the trough. 2) never put electronic computer under a carping. Mfg are aware that water can go there. And it’s a water trap.

I hit a large dog while running 55. . . My �safe� airbags never came out. The front end, bumper, bumper cover, grille, lights and water pump all had to be replaced.

My car is signaling a low voltage code for my air bags. I have got a new battery, change the fuses all are good, and also had the air bag clock spring checked. All seem to check out fine. I tried multiple times to reset the airbags lights but it just keeps coming back on after 10 minutes or so.

Takata recall - I received notice that my car may have a dangerous defect that could cause serious injury. I'm not able to locate any further information about this situation on your website even though I put my VIN number in to have my vehicle searched in your data base. Please notify me in regard to this problem.

The airbag system for the passanger side the light kept coming on and going out it would be on most of time when my wife was in the seat and recently it comes on when anyone sets in the front passanger seat! 2. The wheels were not aleined properly we made four seperate appointments and took car in for service and the dealers service dept did not alein wheels which rearend would catch in groves or holes and swerve one way or the other and the whole alienment was wrong but they failed to repair which we think contributed to a severe accident.

Have been to classic Nissan in statesville nc 4 times for air bags, have changed 1 on left side. Has now come back on and the deals says they have to see light on. Nissan says they are not responsible and they did not know the car airbags was under recall when they sold car, even though I ask the sales women. Moving in parking it does not matter the light blinks on and off, have video of it. Have paper from getting fix.

May 11,2017 I was hit from behind. While sitting behind a van at a light. Waiting for the light to turn green, a car hit me hard from behind. I hit the fan in front of me buckling hood & the front grill were torn to pieces. My airbag did not go off at all. I was rush to the hospital with tailbone, back problems. Right today I'm still having back problems. Going back & forward to doctors right today. Yes please, I wonder why my air bag did not go off.

"takata recall" my passenger airbags lights come on and off. It's never been involved in a accident. Also while driving my car make nose like it a motorcycle get louder when I accelerate. I had my car for 6 months now.

On 7/13/2016----- my passenger and I were traveling on clemson road where the posted speed limit is 45 mph, its a four lane highway with no median. A truck did a u turn in front of a lot of traffic my vehicle struck his at about 40-43 mph though me and my passenger had seat belts on my passenger still managed to hit his head on the windshield through the airbag. My passenger was 5'2 135 pounds so the seat belt did fit properly and was also being worn properly, with the lap band snug against hip one and shoulder strap fully across chest and latch buckled. My passenger was took to the hospital and was examined for injuries that may have occurred from the head trauma of hitting the wind shield. . Why didn't the passenger seat belt keep my passenger from hitting the windshield??? I believe that the seat belt didn't lock in place like it should have once the breaks were pressed- my passenger kept traveling forward as the vehicle slowed down. Note that my passenger was holding his head once we exited the vehicle!.

Front passenger airbag is forced disabled with passenger of 100lbs. Occuring constantly since car purchase. Bought new car. Reported to the dealer but was assured everything is ok. Problem still persist.

The air bad did not deployed in time there was few second delay which caused my daughter to hit her head on steering wheel and then went off. Also the breaks she had delayed timing to hit the break like her foot was stuck or something which delayed stopping.
