Its the transmission for nissian cvt I was unable to change my gear in time when I hit the highway.
My vehicle has approximately 62,000 miles and is within the extended warranty range. • my wife's vehicle has exceeded 100,000 miles but experienced failure well within the original ownership period. Given the early failure, recurring defects, and known issues associated with cvt transmissions in these vehicles, we respectfully request a full resolution from Nissan north America. I wrote an email and sent it to a Nissan representative. I later called twice confirm that representative received it and left messages. Know when, I call no one answers the phone. You can only leave a message if you choose to do so.
Hi, I am writing to express my concern regarding a recurring issue with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note. Recently, I noticed that the vehicle emits a noticeable noise when the engine reaches 1500 to 2000 rpm. Upon consulting a mechanic, I was informed that this problem is common with the cvt transmission in Nissan Versa Note models. The mechanic advised that the transmission needs to be replaced, as this defect poses a significant hazard. There is a risk that the transmission could fail without warning, compromising the safety of the vehicle and its occupants. Given the severity of this issue, I request that Nissan initiate a recall to address and rectify this problem promptly. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
Engine keeps losing oil level when no leaks found which causes transmission and engine to act making weird noises when gas pedal hit when driving car. Transmission is making weird noises like it is slipping when driving when gas pedal is pressed down. A settlement with Nissan was reached due to a class action lawsuit as car is having the issue as car pass 120000 mileage limit when issue started. Volume on internal bluetooth speaker is too low for people to hear when on phone calls with cell phone paired to car thru bluetooth as issue on two different phone models.

Transmission locked up and almost got me hit my 2015 Versa Note only has 67000 miles on it I’ve only had it 4 months and it’s not covered by warranty and even though I’m glad my kids were not in the car I’m not happy with the fact that the transmission issue is known but still being sold if I knew this was a possibility I would not have bought it.

My transmission gave out. My car stopped in the middle of the street as I was crossing to the next intersection and would not go. I had to have my car pushed to the curve until tow truck came. The car was towed to the dealership (Nissan of mobile) the dealer confirmed the transmission was bad. No lights or warning came on prior just stopped and would not go. This was a very scary situation and I'm still devastated.
Heat shields for exhaust system particularly protecting the gas tank from high heat tear easily at bolts making a rattling sound as a first symptom. This causes cracks in the heat shield which is flimsy, thin material. It poses a risk to drivers in that the gas tank could explode due to lack of protection or from poor protection from heat of exhaust. The sheer number of Nissan versa and versa plus heat shields failing is alarming.
These cars have known issues with the cvt transmissions. Our car has 42k miles and is in need of a complete transmission replacement that Nissan refuses to cover. Our son was put in a dangerous situation driving in the way when the car began sputtering and losing power.
Sway bar link broken, causing dangerous risk of steering failure. Rear hub bearing disintegrated, causing worn tires and high risk of wheel randomly separating from axel while driving! wow! car not old enough for such problems!.
Cvt transmission would not shift gears. Cvt is an automatic transmission, that's supposed to shift automatically. The car would be stuck in low gear causing problems while driving. I took car to Nissan dealer and purchased new cvt transmission.
Vehicle was shuddering or hiccuping accelerating and decelerating on its own without any warning lights turning on. Warning light (mil) only came on after total failure and car would not move forward at all. Without any control of acceleration I was forced to let the vehicle roll down the hill I was on to coast it into a parking lot to be off the road, while traffic was behind me causing a potentially dangerous situation as it was on a short street so line of cars driving the wrong direction with traffic entering behind going the appropriate direction.
Las revoluciones no se quedan estable cuando estoy manejando, el vehículo empieza a dar jalones y podría ser la transmisión.
Car has had problems since day one when it was purchased for lack of power going up hills, and when changing lanes it shutters. Also since day one door latches have a problem working in cold weather. . . . . Now at 46,ooo miles the right front passenger door does not want to open from outside, and sometimes will not open from inside, and the rear hatch will not open at all. The drivers door you have a 50/50 chance of it. . May or may not open. This is a long term problem with Nissan cars and is a major safety problem if you cannot get out of a car. It is also problem that effects the safety of those who ride in Nissan cars. . . . . This has been a service bulletin and should be a major recall. . . It needs to be address. . . Just look at the youtube video's its a common problems. .
Transmission failed at 65,000 miles.
Car is not wanting to accelerate, continues to shift hard, stalls on flat ground electrical outlets on car seem to have a short, will work one minute, next they do not passenger window is slowing when rolling up.

The vehicle’s cooling fan assembly. The air conditioning system began to malfunction by distributing hot air instead of cold air. After a few days - after driving - I parked at a restaurant and while sitting in my car we noticed smoke coming from the hood. Vehicle has less than 75,000 miles on it - six year old vehicle and well maintained. Car was towed to dealership- unable to drive it. Two (2) days later same thing happens to my daughter’s car. While driving- smoke comes from the hood. Her car was towed to the same dealership- where they were both purchased. Her car had less than 19,000 miles - four-year old vehicle and well maintained. Both vehicles. Same problem. Low mileage on vehicle.
This vehicle has a cvt transmission. My transmission went bad and the vehicle only has 85,000 miles on it. This is a danger and a hazard to drive vehicles with these transmissions. On one occasion I had to stop suddenly and the transmission delayed and jerked the car almost causing me to wreck. Another time I had to accelerate quickly but again it delayed and almost caused me to get hit by another vehicle. I have a 3 year old little boy. We could've been hurt. These transmissions are dangerous. This is not okay.
95,000 miles and complete transmission fail. Car needs whole new transmission.
There's been a recall on Nissan Versa Note transmissions and I was just recently informed that it included my transmission and Nissan doesn't want to replace it.
Regarding my 2014 Nissan Versa Note, with "continuous variable (cone shaped) transmission": I first noticed the transmission issue beginning October of 2020. When accelerating quickly, it feels like the transmission freezes, so I back off the accelerator and it usually kicks back into gear. When my husband first experienced it, he told me to shift to neutral and back to drive which seems to work; however being on a public thoroughfare and manually shifting gears to keep moving forward seems like a major safety issue. I have read several posts regarding this same issue. My question why hasn't this american/japanese automobile conglomerate addressed this safety issue with a transmission recall?.
When accelerating the car shuts off. When pulling into a parking lot the vehicle shut off. When pulling in driveway, up a slight hill, the vehicle shut off. The car shut off three times on 7/13/2020 on my 2015 Nissan Versa Note.
Car floors--right, left, front and rear were mysteriously flooded with a substantial amount of water. Vehicle had been parked in flat driveway, all windows shut, and upon driving a couple blocks from home and pulling to a stop sign on a downward sloping street, water rushed forward on the floor of the car. Car was last driven 2 weeks prior to get inspected and subsequently there had been a few days with heavy rains. Where the water came in I don't know. Used shop-vac to suck out tons of water but moisture still remains on floors when pressed with paper towels. Also, different lights were lit on dash when I put the air on while parked to help dry out carpet--the abs and the car skidding lights. Makes me suspect electrical system was affected by water also. Will call mechanic and insurance company first thing tomorrow (Monday).
My vehicle is shifting and revving it is buzzing and it shakes while in motion it takes time to change the speed.
Diagnosed that the evaporator core and expansion valve needs repair. Mechanic stated this is not due to wear and tear. It is a manufacturer problem in the way the car was made.
Driving on a very busy road I was going 65mph on curse control already slower than the other vehicles do to my car acting weird and out of nowhere my car drops to 40 mph and I almost got hit by another vehicle I pull off and get to the closes part store to have my car hooked up to pin point what was going on and it turns out to be my transmission which irritates me because there's no way to get to the transmission to check the amount of fluid or anything I have asked mechanic to look at it while my oil is being changed and every time they tell me they can't maintenance it.
In Nov. 2019 car was putting took it to the dealership transmission fluid was low and iy had a leak in the line they put fluids in it it was ok for a minute then on Nov 13 had trans cooler line put in it was running ok until now still putting you reimburse my my but I need a transmission are you doing recalls on my transmission.
I was going on to the highway and I was trying to go fast to move in to on going traffic and my car wouldn't move faster and started making this weird sound like a chugging noise along with a scrape sound every time I put my foot on the gas.
I left my car parked in front on my house for a whole week, as I left for vacation. Came back and now my car key get stuck in the ignition.
Around 65,000 miles I started having an issue with the ctv / automatic transmission. The car sometimes jerks/shakes as I accelerate and takes longer than it used to to speed up. This has put me in immediate danger several times - for example, switching lanes on the highway, I can no longer be certain that I will switch lanes in time for the other cars not to hit me. I took this car to a mechanic who said it may be my transmission fluid - I got the fluid changed in an official Nissan shop in norwell, MA. The issue was not resolved - and when I called the Nissan shop again, they said if the engine light is not on, there is no problem. The issue has not resolved and they do not want to help.
About 3 months ago I was driving at about 35 miles per hour car in front stopped suddenly I applied brakes they grabbed then let go they failed and then today 5/23/2019 my family and I were leaving the parking lot of the local mall and the car stalled 2 times in the parking lot this car has 32000 miles on it.
During colder weather, as the car is moving, air comes in through the bottom seam of the backseat and through the edges of both rear doors. The weather stripping around these parts is inadequate. This inflow of air causes all windows to fog up and condensate, which the defroster is unable to contend with. Water literally drips down the windows and makes it hazardous for the driver because they can't use their mirrors to navigate and are wiping the winshield so they can see the road in front of them.
2015 Nissan Versa Note hesitant when taking off. Trouble switching gears. Late shift time. Been multiple times when turning out of a neighborhood or at a light that my car would hesitate and I've almost been hit. I'm guessing it's the transmission. Most of my driving is in town. I'm worried that one day its going to hesitate with my kids in the car or by myself and I will get hit.
No backup camera. Dealer: not all have them.

This car has only 34,000 miles on it and the air bag warning light has come and is flashing constantly . . . Given the mileage of the car I was shocked and amazed that I would be having a problem. Other problem I've had is that it has staled out a couple of times for not reason at all when pulling out onto the road.
