"takata recall", due to unawareness of future issues since all "VIN" numbers have not been input into the recall system that may go pass the deadline plus brake issues(scrubbing as I drive/regular braking,"I don't ride the brake" ever but I drive daily whether on dry/clear road to wet roads less than 1 month post purchase having only 28,300 miles on it at purchase & still, continues today, after having it checked) for my 2014 Nissan versa that I've purchased less than 6 months ago, today, I'm severely concerned due to info mentioned on. . The cvt transmission is failing loss of power while driving can't drive car over 55 mph transmission oil leaks slipping and jerking the rpm of the engine can fluctuate a lot while driving, especially when accelerating.
My car will randomly shut down while driving when it gets too hot. The steering locks up, all the lights come on in the car (engine light etc. ) and I can't drive. It starts working again when I turn it off and turn it back on. I already took it to the dealership but it has done it since I've taken it. It has done it while driving on both the freeway and city streets.

All my locks do not work except my driver side they have not worked for well over 2 years now.
First time on the freeway while running, second time I was parked, but when I try to back up it shot down third time was running. Nissan won't do anything for me they practically said your on your on, and I'm terrified to drive that car, it's just a tragedy waiting to happen and I'm not going to be the victim.
I bought my car brand new in January of 2014. I have been driving it since. The whole muffler system from the catalytic converter on back needs replaced. That includes the resonator and the muffler and the pipes. Why? it lasted only 3 1/2 years with 51,000 miles on it? that is ridiculous. I paid cash for the car and have no extended warranty. What kind of garbage parts are they using. I live in pennsylvania and I know we get road salt problems but not in 3 1/2 years. How thin is the metal they used? there is not even an aftermarket part to replace these parts. What a rip off.
Fuel or exhaust smell in the cabin of the car. Unknown of origin after multiple tests at dealership. Occurs when vehicle is idling and in motion.
"takata recall" my passenger airbags lights come on and off. It's never been involved in a accident. Also while driving my car make nose like it a motorcycle get louder when I accelerate. I had my car for 6 months now.
Foot stuck on gas pedal. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa Note sr and since I've bought the car my foot has been getting caught on an hvac relay actuator sticking down from the top. It's especially dangerous if I lift my foot off the gas to go to the brake but cant. I took it to the dealer who said my car isn't included in the most recent recalls and won't fix it. I was told to "drive with my foot not so far up on the accelerator. " this really is a dangerous problem for them to brush off.
Unknown at a stop, when the a/c kicks on, I hear a very audible rattling noise coming from somewhere between the engine and the transmission. Whenever I am starting off, for example, going down my street, I can hear a very audible, yet different, rattling noise coming from somewhere behind the glove box. I thought that noise was something I had in the glove box, but I already tried emptying all of the compartments and driving and it still made that noise, which tell me that it must be something just behind the glove box inside the dash. The electroluminescent lights for the instrument panel are already beginning to fade out in some places. These problems began at 12k, 15k, and 17k miles respectively. I have mentioned these problems at 2 different Nissan dealership service departments 4 individual times and the only response I get is that it will be around $250 to check and see what the problem is and that the warranty probably will not cover the repairs. The vehicle has 33k miles currently and I will be trying one more time to have the issues resolved at the 35k mile service before the warranty expires at 36k. I am afraid that the instrument panel lights may go out at night and I won't be able to read the speedometer. As far as the rattling noises go that I and others are hearing is questionable. Whatever is rattling could eventually break and cause a very serious accident and injure/ kill one of me or my passengers. I cannot remember the exact day these problems began but I'm sure it was sometime between oct 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

I was driving in stop and go traffic and as I stopped at a red light in the left turn lane, the engine cut off completely and would not start. I had to ask a group of people to help push my car to the side of the road during rush hour traffic. I waited about 30 minutes and the car was able to start again. I was nervous to drive on the expressway to get home as this could pose as a serious threat to safety.
While driving my tire pressure alert went on and stayed on. Had to drive to gas ststion snd fill up air. .
While driving tire pressure light went on had to drive to gas station and fill up. .
I live in arizona. I had come to a stop at a red light in some heavy traffic. I was getting ready to make a right turn. At the point of making the right turn the car died. I could not complete the turn. Basically I started to head into other cars that were making a left turn which was perpendicular to my car. I was able to avoid hitting any cars and at the same time was lucky not to be hit by any cars. The car ended up in that left turn lane. When the car stopped I turned the key to the off position and then put the car in park and then waited a minute or two and started the car back up again. No check engine light stayed on after restarting the car and I was able to make it home which was a 1/2 mile away. It was about 105 degrees outside. This seems to be an issue for this type vehicle when it is hot outside. I think one of the service bulletins mentions exactly what I went through. This needs to be fixed because one or more people will get hurt or die. I never have had any issue really of any type with this vehicle before. All the maintenance work that is needed has been done on time. The car has been maintained properly. I did notice probably 30 minutes before driving that the car was having problems accelerating. I kept thinking I didn't have the car in the correct gear but I did. The car during that time seemed sluggish.
Car was bought November 1st. . 3330 miles and already having problems with the frontal shocks they make. . Noise. . . The left door squeaks when open /close. . . You can hear something making rattling noise when driving slow then accelerating. Don't know where the sound comes from . . . When turning to the left at 20 mph or more the wheel make a nasty noise like if you were to sharpen a long knife goes away when the wheel goes back to straight position. . . Unacceptable. . . Disappointed with Nissan.
Driving my car I thought I had seen smoke or steam coming from my car, when I parked and got out I smelled burnt rubber, burnt brake smell and this time I could see smoke coming out from my left wheel, I took the car in next day, was told it was over spray on the underside causing the smoking and brakes were good, after that I would occasionally hear grinding noise from my brakes but the dealership said the brakes were good. Over the months I noticed the grinding noise more, April 2015 I took it in for an oil change and asked to have my brakes looked at again because I kept hearing grinding noise from the brakes and front end, again I was told everything was good. By July 3, 2015 I took it in again after hearing a horrific sound when turning the wheels to the right, the wheel baring had gone out causing the brakes to gouge the rotors my car only had 8304 miles on it, I bought the car new in sept 2014, the wheel bearing was replaced and the rotor resurfaced. Car was great for 2 1/2 weeks today 8/6/15 I took my car in because the grinding noise started again just like last time, today I was told rotors were warped causing the brake pads not connecting properly the the rotors. I am really upset being I bought this car brand new and now having issues with the brakes which could be dangerous.
2014 Versa Note sv bought new, found rust on the 3rd day of purchase in 12+ areas underneath including sub-frame and various components. Complained and requested replacement with a rust free car. Nissan won't replace or refund despite extensive correspondence, emails, phone calls, visits to the dealer, furnishing date stamped pictures of rust areas. Nissan is dragging its feet with feeble excuses - ' no excessive rust found' "rust is not affecting safety of the car' 'rust not affecting performance of the car' - which is why they will not replace it. Upon telling them that the due to rust, the resale value of car is severely diminished to junk car value - they have nothing to say. Filed complaints with authorities including the attorney general but they are slow to process so nothing has come of it so far and Nissan won't stand behind its products. Bbb autoline has sided with Nissan and they just pissed on the lemon law doing that - despite providing scores of date stamped photographs of the rust areas. Nissan is not giving me a charity car, nor it is a used car that they have sold me. I have paid full price with high interest for 6 years that I am going to be paying and I deserve a rust free car without defects but Nissan does not seem to agree to that. People, please think a thousand times before buying a Nissan. A company that is trying to get away using every lame excuse. I am afraid that Nissan may have sold a large number of cars to buyers, with rust simply because the american buyer trusts manufacturers for their quality and integrity - but not in case of Nissan. If any law students/retired lawyers/lawyers are willing to help - for an affordable fee - as I can not afford a lot at this time - please help me and may god bless you for your kindness.
