Service mechanic said this problem with crack in plenum has been seen before by him and heard of numerous times and probable factory defect. The crack in the plenum allowed coolant into the pistons of the engine and causing the engine to throw a rod. Mechanic advised us to notify NHTSA and general motors.

Consumer kept loosing antifreeze, vehicle would slowly elevate in temperature, some times car would cut off, due to vacuum harness.
The motor mounts were worn out causing vibration during acceleration.
