Four problems related to vehicle speed control have been reported for the 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer had the vehicle in the park position and vehicle jumped into reverse. This caused the vehicle to spin around in a 360 motion. The passenger jumped out of the vehicle while the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle came to a dead stop when it hit a ditch head on.
I hve had this car for a year now and they have did over 7,000 dollars repairs on it so far they need to recall this Alero. No safety defect listed.
When tapping the brakes to turn speed control off, the car accelerates. Consumer contacted dealer.
When driving at any speed and applying brakes vehicle is jerking and lurching forward. Also, when taking key out of ignition all other electrical items keep coming on, and brake rotors continue to wear out. Dealer can't determine the cause of problems.
