The contact owns a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. The contact stated that when the turning signals were activated there would be a loud abnormal noise from the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the turning signals activated intermittently and independntly. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the fuse but it failed to remedy the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
While vehicle was on side of road, pushed hazard button and it pushed through dash. Unable to turn off switch because it is in dash. Pulled hazard fuse, lights stayed on.
The blinkers and hazard switch work every now and then it cuts in and out. I had this problem fixed in 2005 under the original recall and now am having to have it fixed again.
About a year ago I pushed my hazard button and it fell back into the dashboard. So now there is a hole there and I cannot use my flashers if needed.
The dome light flickers and sometimes cuts-off completely. Problems since I bought car. Engine cut-off when I turn-off ac. Runs rough, them turns-off completely. Service cant find any reason for these problems. I worry about this car. Another "lemon"?.
Everytime the consumer uses the cruise control, the warning lights and chimes come on.
