Fuel injectors failed, car started to rumble when idle and would sputter when foot on gas. The fuel injector #6 was sticking and the same thing problem occurred.
I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. The car has been a continuous problem since I drove it off the lot. The suspension has failed, the fuel injector and alternator have been replaced, the electrical system malfunctions all the time, and problems continue to develop on an almost monthly basis. I contacted Oldsmobile and they could care less, referring me to the "dealer" who has been repairing this vehicle repeatedly. I see why Oldsmobile is going out of business. They're products are inferior, and border on dangerous. I'm just hoping this car does not malfunction seriously while I'm on the highway. The incident date below is the approximate most recent repair date. The dates of various incidents are too numerous to list.

On several occasions while driving, my Alero has completely shut off. The first time it happened, I was going 55 mph in traffic. The power steering shut down and it was hard to pull to the side of the road. If it is raining outside, you may as well just park it. It will not crank easily and it acts like it doesn't want to run once you get it to start. Of course, when you take it to the shop they can't find anything wrong with it. My driver's side power window will not roll down. The low tire pressure light goes off every other day, even though the air pressure is fine and the interior doors look awful because the trim has come unglued. This is the worst car I have ever purchased. I would like to know what I can do to get this car repaired or replaced.

Car stalls while driving-speed does not matter. Car will start up after sittiing for a minute but it can only be driven for a few more miles. The longer you let it sit after it stalls the farther you can drive it dowm the road. Taken to a gm service tech and after 2 days of test, stated nothing is wrong with the car. 20 miles after leaving the shop with car, it stalled. Took it to another mechanic and he found a TSB on the engine/propulsion system , #00-06-04-044, to replace the in-tank strainer (filter) and have not had a problem since. Had to pay a GMC srevice tech a lot of money to tell me nothing was wrong when a "shade tree mechanic" found the problem in less than an hour. Have seen this complaint many other times for this car and others ( 2000 cavalier, malibu and 2000 grand am, sunfire) why is there no recall on this? would like some information please on this and what I can do about this gm service tech. My car is still under a extended warranty which I believe would have covered this problem I had.
Engine stalls while driving - happened on highway, side roads, all speeds. No warning. Car may or may not be restartable. Car stalled on highway during dealer test drive required a tow. Also rotors warped - steering wheel shakes during high speed breaking.
No summary.
The front brakes and rotors have been replaced twice. The brakes are vibrating again when you try to stop at a higher rate of speed. The check engine light and service engine soon have been on at least 6 times. The fuel injectors have had to be replaced 4 times.
