The contact owns a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada. While driving 30 mph, there was an burning odor under the passenger seat. The contact noticed that the seat was melting from the bottom and was dripping onto the carpet. The contact pulled the fuse box wires from under the passenger seat to prevent the seat from burning; however, the seat was still getting hot. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. In addition, the engine warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 215,000.
Consumer states does not have the latch system in my car. Called the manufacturer and offered to pay to have one put in but manufacturer said that under manufacturer recommendation a latch system in the vehicle, and follow owners manual to install the car seat or purchase a new car seat. All the new car seats have bases on them and that is the kind that the vehicle has.
The vehicle has faulty mirror would not hold setting, and was reprogrammed. The brakes squeak when backing. The engine light would come on intermittent. The back tailgate door and the back passenger squeaks.
