At 60k miles had to replace transmission and motor (with 2003 chevy blazer). Mirrors don't recall and move when unlocking car. Passenger seat belt gets tight after braking and has to be undone, recoiled, and put back on. Backup lights blow every year. The awd was fixed twice by dealer and messed up again so we had it removed. The air bag suspension blew & was replaced with springs. Terrible racket in the rear end. Driver heated seat quit working 2 years ago. This year, transmission has quit working (while driving) and I am over this car!.

Subject: gross mechanic error , possible fire / explosive situation while in palm bay FL, I had my fuel filter changed at tire kingdom for about $90. Their mechanic installed a fuel filter that rattled / defective and he destroyer the fuel line it mounted to. The tire kingdom mechanic, threw out the plastic fuel filter bracket and brake line holder because it was too rusty. I was told this a week later by the manager. I lost about two tanks of fuel getting to atlanta, GA. I stopped for lunch and noticed a 4 foot circle of fuel under my Bravada. I looked under the vehicle and couldn't believe what a hack job tire kingdom did. My vehicle could have caught on fire and blew up!! there should be fines for such a gross incompetence and causing a dangerous condition. If the fuel would have sprayed on the exhaust pipe the vehicle would have caught on fire. To get me home a local garage, in atlanta georgia, fixed it temporarily so I could make it home, with tie traps, new filter, repaired fuel line and o-ring. I am out about $446. I have contacted the tbc ceo & senior staff at tcb corp and exec's at tire kingdom, over the last 7 weeks by e-mail & mail and certified mail. Tire kingdom manager by phone & mail. I do have the defective parts, pictures and bills! I was not given the discarded bracket assy. . I have not been able to drive my Bravada in the last 7 weeks for fear it could blow up. I need to have my Bravada put back to it's original state with the proper fuel filter and brake line bracket assy. This is a very serious problem because my vehicle was able to spray / leak two full tanks of gasoline across two states. You cannot just throw away parts because the mechanic think they are too rusty. Plastic brackets do not rust. I was unexceptionable and unexcusable.

I am writing this complaint because I have come across some issues with my transmission and cruise control. I got to looking into it and seen where there were some recalls for the same problems on the same year model of my vehicle. I have called around and they are telling me because of my VIN number they cant do anything, but it is the same year model and I am having the same issues. The service engine light wont go off, it wont shift into overdrive, it doesn't shift right, it feels like it shifts into neutral on its on. Sometimes it feels like it doesn't register it being in drive when I go to take off, seems like it has a rough idle, and the cruise control does not work anymore. I would like something to be done about this because I need my vehicle fixed. ## VIN passed ## Oldsmobile Bravada 1999 ##.

The drive train needs replacing at 64k miles. The car is basically in constant 4wd, which makes turning at slow speeds very difficult without lots of gas and it is noisy. This car is too young to be facing this type of issue and with low miles (usually 100k for this sort of thing).

The all wheel drive system remained engaged while trying to make sharp turns, causing drive train to bind and vehicle to stop forward motion unexpectedly. This has happened on multiple occasions but is intermittent. Vehicle has been to dealer for repair four times without the problem being resolved.
I just purchased my 2000 Bravada in December of 2002 and it had less than 25,000 miles on it. I do not do heavy driving, mostly open road and no towing, and was very surprised when all of a sudden my transmission went out two months and 1,700 miles after the power train warranty expired. When I called the dealership and talked to the repair person he knew what was wrong even before I told him (the reverse and overdrive went out but the other drives were fine) and he said that this was a common problem with Bravadas. Imagine my surprise! then Oldsmobile indicated they would only pay for 50% of the repair. I am currently trying to work with them to cover it all because it is obviously a defect in the transmission and is not an isolated incident. I hadn't heard anything about this, but now that I look on the internet there are quite a few people who have had similar problems. The company should be taking care of this.
Paint is progressively peeling off the luggage rack. Bodyshop commented "it doesn't look like it was coated/sealed properly, this shouldn't be happening. " transmission: driving on hwy car started smoking out exhaust, exited hwy and car shifted "hard" from stop thru acceleration. Got to aamco shop, they scanned and got an "1870 code". Upon inspection discovered the pump assy was "chewed up and burnt steel. " fluid was being forced out the filler tube and the fluid was black. I was told there was a high danger that the fluid could have ignited. I had absolutely no warning signs that something was wrong with the transmission until the car started smoking. I am a street driver, never have towed or gone off roading in this vehicle so no undue stress or wear has been put on the trans. The response I get from the finance company and the dealer is "it's bad luck, a fluke, etc. And the car isn't under warranty. " I am going to perservere in my efforts to get gm involved and hopefully they will do the right thing.
Transmission_ will not go into reverse and when in drive makes a wineing sound. Other - radiator- heavy rust flushed out radiator 5 times and still have rust along with rusty fluids.
Consumer states that the odometer is not functioning properly. It is recording more mileage that is being driven with the vehicle. Ph.
Transmission shutter, failure of dash controls, replaced ignition switch 46800 miles brakes out twice in 4 months paint on luggage rack chipping 54562 at 70 mph on cruise shifted by self tolow gear back to high gear then back to low replaced tranny.
Consumer feels the all wheel drive on the vehicle is not safe in snowy conditions. When attempting a turn in the snow the vehciles back end starts to spin. Also when accelerating up a hill, the rear wheels slip.
The vehicle jerked, then slid and became stuck in the snow.
