2 Wiring problem of the 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada

Failure Date: 02/16/2004

While I was driving my 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada felt like a tire had gone flat. . After noticing the problem I went to pull over and the entire SUV pulled to the right almost hitting a parked boat. When I exited the vehicle I noticed the passangers side tire was sideways. . Half underneath the truck. I checked with the dealership who I bought the truck from and there not willing to help for free as I dont have a warranty. . Even though this is the second problem ive had with the vehicle since I bought it 8 months prior. I checked with a mechanic and they said the axle was broken and the bearings and ball joints could be busted. Lucky for me I wasn't on the highway where I had been 20 minuites prior and heading back to.

3 Wiring problem of the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada

Failure Date: 10/21/2001

Consumer has had multiple, reoccuring problems with new vehicle since first purchased in October 2001. Car has been returned to dealer more than 12 times in 18 months and has placed significant burden on the owner. Vehicle now has new major mechanical problems with both the engine and transmission. Although the vehicle is still under warranty, the large number of persistent problems classifies this vehicle as unreliable and, more importantly, unsafe. Owner has contacted dealer regarding a replacement vehicle (lemon law), however the dealership has directed the owner to the maker company (gm/Oldsmobile). The maker has responded by insisting that the warranty was designed for such problems and they have referred the owner back to the dealer for continual repairs. In other words, neither the maker nor their representative dealer is willing to assist the owner in resolving the situation. The dealership has since closed due to owner retirement, as well. More than five complaints have been issued to the maker from the owner by either phone, electronically or mail without any positive feeback from the maker or any attempt to rectify the situation. Note: the incident date listed here is simply the purchase date - all incidents have been continous and on going since date of purchase. 2 windshield wiper failures repaired under warranty 1st at 3,973 miles 2nd at 11,660 miles.

4 Wiring problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada

Failure Date: 03/01/2000

Wiring was pinched against floorboards and drivers seat mounting frame, we had repaired at our own expense, 7 hours of labor @ $55. 00/hour - price for the part -$5. 53. Problems associated w/ it, driver seat adjust inoperable, interior lights flash, door locks lock/unlock by themselves. Is it a defective or incorrectly installed wiring? how is the owner responsible for wires getting crimped when adjusting the seat? we did not install the wiring, the manufacturer did. It was not abused. We do not feel responsible for wiring installed by the manufacturer getting crimped in between the floor board and drive seat when we adjust it.
