Air Bag Problems of Oldsmobile Cutlass

Tl-the contact owns a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass sierra. The contact stated that he took the vehicle in for routine service when he was informed that the steering wheel was not equipped with an air bag. The vehicle needed to be repaired by replacing the steering column with one that was equipped with an air bag. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were approximately 206,000. Kmj.

Caller was at a stop sign and when he started to take off. He hit a dip and both front air bags deployed. Dealer said there was not recall, but caller said there was a recall on the air bags. Manufacturer has not been contacted yet.
