On 1/07 had low speed slide on icy road , causing impact with small tree, and resulting in minor cracks in right front bumper cap, and subsequent air bag deployment. Now, have received information regarding defective airbags which inadvertently deployed in minor crash conditions. Deployment has totaled vehicle with only minor damage.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Failure Date: 02/03/2000

While making a turn vehicle ran into a 4 foot curve at about 10 mph, and airbags deployed. Car didn't come to a dead stop before the airbags deployed. Mechanic said it was sensors. Inspector said there were no outside sensors.
