Two problems related to clunking noise have been reported for the 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Clunking sound as feel through steering column and steering wheel when at a stop and starting, especially when turning from a stopped position and when accelerating at a low speed.
There was clicking noise coming from the steering column, and smoke was coming from under the hood due to alterator malfunctioning.
