The contact stated that while driving across the intersection and making a left hand turn, the vehicle stalled without warning causing another vehicle to crash into the left side of the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician repaired the failure but the diagnosis was unknown. The vehicle was included in recall NHTSA campaign number: 14v400000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 64,000.
2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Consumer experienced numerous problems with vehicle. The consumer stated when he attempted to start the vehicle, the security light illuminated and the vehicle became disabled. After waiting 45 to an hour, the security light went out and the vehicle would start. Also, at times the vehicle would stall in the midst of driving. There were times, when the consumer removed the key from the ignition and the engine would continue to run. Recently, the abs, brake light and traction light illuminated. The crank sensor, ignition lock cylinder, and control module needed to be replaced.
