Without warning headlights flicker a few times, resulting in headlights dimming while driving at night. Dealer has replaced alternator, which temporarily fixed problem but problem has resurfaced with same regularity as before.
Headlights flickered off and on, would not stay on at night. Had at least one flash (off then on within one second period) every time I drove in the dark. One time it flashed continuously. Affected all electrical components. I notified dealer and also called Oldsmobile. Dealer replaced the alternator, said the problem was due to low voltage when an air pump near the alternator turned on.
Headlights are intermittently going off. Dealer replaced alternator twice, buit problem still exists. Please provide VIN/mileage, and any additional information.
Alternator was replaced three times, due to the blower motor slowing down at night while driving.
Dealer replaced alternator twice, problem is less but still present.
