1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle ignition key recall notice. The consumer stated the ignition module and crank sensor were replaced several times. A recent problem developed, where the consumer was unable to turn the vehicle off. There were other times, when the vehicle would not start. Also, while driving, the headlights would come on and then go out. When the cruise control was set, it would disengage by itself and air only blew out of the right double vent and the left double vent blew out hot air.

2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Consumer states problem with check engine light and a. I. R. Pump
the consumer stated the air conditioner failed and was blowing out hot air on the passenger side and cold air on the drivers' side. The wheels were no good. The plating on the inside would come off and create problems for the tires sealing properly, therefore an uneven wear occurred. The consumer also stated he began to have steering problems, there were several lights coming on the dash and going off, but the dealer was unable to diagnose the problem. The consumer began to investigate and discovered the part that was causing the lights to illuminate was the hydraulic brake modulator which cost $1,000. The transmission would shift hard at times and sometimes whine while driving. The turn signals did not always work or they would shut off while blinking. When the cruise control was activated, and the turn signal or head lights were activated the cruise control would deactivate by itself. The rear passenger window stopped working and the sway bar was cracked. Also, the gas pedal would stick at times. The heated seats were too cool on low and too hot on high.

Dad: the consumer stated that the headlights had come on and had gone off intermittently and the cruise control was not working. The dealer could not identify the cause of the problem. This problem had been happening for two months. The consumer had no consultation with the manufacturer. (11/22/05) the problem was found to be a failing ignition switch.
The headlights flickered while driving at night. This problems caused the cruise control to deactivate by itself while engaged, and turned off the air conditioner or the heater when operating. Vehicle had been to the dealer on four separate occasions. The dealer replaced several parts, and problem recurred.
