1 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 12/01/2010

My blinkers on the driver's side (front and back) began to malfunction and would only work intermittently in 2010. This went on for about a year and then the passenger side blinkers (front and back) began to malfunction in the same manner about 6 months later. This went on with both sides working only intermittently for 2 years. Then, suddenly while driving at night and trying to make a left turn in mid 2012, the passenger side blinker started making very loud electrical glitch sounds and then completely blew and my car died with it. I had to replace the alternator shortly after and the passenger side blinkers worked perfectly, but I had to drive with out my driver's side blinkers until mid 2013, when I could not pass dmv required inspection. I paid to have the driver's side blinker relay system replaced and it worked for about a month but then both driver and passenger side blinkers started working intermittently again. Within 1 month, the driver's side blinker relay system completely failed again (passenger works, except I have to wiggle and mess with the emergency hazards lights to get it to even turn on at all). Now I have one pair of blinkers not working at all, and one that is intermittent, 3/4 of the time it works but only if I distractedly wiggle my hazard light button while trying to turn or change lanes. Mechanics are baffled and don't know what too tell me! this is a dangerous condition for anyone to be driving with and I fear it will cause an accident someday soon. I have also had the same issue with my headlights intermittently dimming that has been reported by many gm consumers since I started driving the vehicle in 2007. I do not want to have to pay another mechanic to replace my driver's side turn signal relay system, just for it fail again due to these dangerous electrical system problems in my 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. Gm needs to act quickly!.

2 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 09/12/2008

The directional signals and or hazard lights do not work. It is not a continuous thing but a sporadic. I can be driving down the street go to turn on my directional (either left or right) and it will not work. I can then get to my next turn and they might work. It has been doing this sporadically for a couple of years now and checked to see if there was any kind of recall for this. I found a recall back in 2003 & 2004 for the Oldsmobile alero, grand am and malibu, but not for the Oldsmobile Intrigue. I was wondering if there are other complaints for the Oldsmobile Intrigue having this failure. The last incident was sept. 12, 2008. Before that date I never kept track, but now am tired of the signals not working properly. I wait for the day the signals do not work and cause a major accident because someone thinks that I am going straight at an intersection and am actually intending on turning.

3 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 08/01/2004

I purchased a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue used in February 2004. After using the hazard lights in August 2004, there have been problems with both the turn signals and the hazard lights. The hazard lights will not work at all anymore without continuously holding the button in manually. The turn signals work intermittently. They will work fine for a while, and then completely stop. This occurs on almost a daily basis. The only way to correct it is to repeatedly press the hazard light switch over and over which confuses other drivers and takes attention away from the road. This is a major hazard when trying to turn from busy streets. We have been trying to find a new hazard switch for the vehicle.

4 Hazard Flashing Warning Light Unit problem of the 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Failure Date: 11/01/2000

When driving over a bump in the road vehicle stalled. This has happenedon three occasions. Dry conditions, no prior warning. Dealer cannot remedy. The turn signal and hazard lights periodically stop working. Nlm.
