2 Hood Latch problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Silhouette

Failure Date: 07/05/1997

Not sure if hood was properly closed. While traveling at 60 mph the hood released and crashed into windshild, shattering it, buckling the roof, and interior parts became dislodged. With the sloped nose design, it is not easy to visibily see if the hood is not closed.
