Five problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1998 Plymouth Breeze. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
30 mph front end collision and the air bag did not deploy.
While driving,the consumer applied the brakes, but the pedal went to the floor. The vehicle started shaking violently and uncontrollably. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit another vehicle head on. The vehicle caught fire. The fire department was called to extinguished the fire. Both frontal air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained head and neck injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was towed and totaled out by the insurance company. Please fill in additional information. The vehicle was totally burned beyond recognition everything was destroyed. One death as a result of the accident. The consumer now walks with a limp. Accident happened around spring 1999.
Accident occurred when large truck pulled across road. I was driving a 1998 Plymouth Breeze and hit truck at approximately 35-40 mph. Car totalled all front end damage including hood, bumper knocked off, both fenders, also damage inside engine compartment. Air bags did not deploy. Vehicle is still at my home at this time until insuarance company retrieves it. I have pictures of damage and interior showing that the air bags are still intact and did not deploy. Apparently, this is not an isolated incident. I searched your web site and found several other airbag complaints for this same make model and year car. I (driver) have injury to right knee that may require surgery.
While driving at approximately 40 mph vehicle was involved in an accident. All damage was done to front end. Also, dual airbags did not deploy, causing injuries.
Air bags did not deploy, front end pushed back into engine compartment.
