Air bag light stays on and has since first purchased, horn has not worked for about 8 months, cruise control quit working 3 months ago. Reading other complaints it appears there was a recall stating the problem is with the column clock spring. If I could receive a recall for the manufacturer to just provide a replacement column clock spring my nephew would place it on the van.

This is my third attempt at getting this matter reported! I have called twice before (around 7/17 and again around 8/7) but have yet to receive the form(s) I need to sign! according to your site my report "is the first step" in getting this very definite safety related defect fixed. I have no air bags that work, as far as I know, no horn (definitely), and no cruise control. I know it is probably the clockspring, but cannot afford to have it fixed!.

This clockspring assembly failed over a period of time, begining in about 2000 with the cruise control failure. This was followed by the airbag failure, as manifested by the airbag check lamp remaining on. Finally, the horn failed to work. I subsequently replaced the clockspring assembly this month, which repaired all the above problems. I have the defective clockspring, and am willing send it to you for analysis if you so desire.
