Front Seat Recliner Problems of Plymouth Neon

While stopping vehicle was rearended by a truck and pushed into another vehicle. Front passenger's seat broke and went backwards where headrest was on backseat. Did not contact dealer.

While at stop sign was rear ended by another vehicle. Two front seats collapsed, leaving driver and passenger flat on their backs, and back of seat gave up without any prior warning.

Seat latch doesn't lock. When applying the brakes seat flips forward. Dealer was contacted and inspected seats & everything should be okay.

The locking device on the driver side of my car does not work. There have 2 situations where the device has failed. I now have a permanent and stable back injury because of the device failure. I was in physical therapy for 3 months.

In a rear end collsion the driver's and passenger's seatbacks broke, causing both to fall backwards, which may cause injuries to occupant in the rear of the vehicle. Manufacturer stated thats the way the seat were designe caused the problem. . Please provide further information.
