Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System Problems of Plymouth Neon

Power steering would lock up intermittently when driving over a water puddle. Also, vehicle experienced problem with oil leakages due to a head gasket failure. When appying brakes pedal would go to floor, and caused extended stopping distance. Dealer was notified, and informed consumer that none of the problems were covered under a recall, and vehicle was out of its warranty. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.

Engine oil leaks three set of head gaskets/ transmission slipping rebuilt three times/ powersteering pump replaced 2 times / speed contol doesn't work because clocking spring defective in air bag control/ dealer stated tha manufacture would on pay for parts only and the coustomer would have to pay the labor out of the two plus years that I have owned this car it has been in the shop for at least 6 months.

Consumer was driving and another vehicle rear ended him. Car went into a spin and spinned into a five foot concrete wall. Consumer was driving 45 to 50 mph. No injuries.

Power steering: when driving there is a loss of power, can't turn the vehicle. When it rains and going through a puddle of water there is no power . Have taken in for repair and the dealer says the vehicle is fine.

The vehicle needed major repairs on the brakes. The camshaft seal failed twice, the power steering belts failed while traveling during traffic, and the radio malfunctioned.
