I was driving my 2001 with only 65,000 miles on it and heard a loud bang. I was able to bring it to my mechanic and he said the front end rotted out. Its a good thing I was going slow or I could have been severly injured. In addition when it rains the floor boards and trunk well fill with water. This car should not be sold . I just read online about other drivers having had the same problem.

A mechanic was checking the front suspension of my car while performing a routine oil change when he noticed an excessive amount of rust and several cracks forming in the sub frame.
Approaching a stop sign, the vehicle suddenly came to a jarring stop after the right front wheel hit a small recessed gas company access cover, perhaps 2" deep and 6" in diameter. The frame member between the two front wheels cracked right through in a shower of rust. Fortunately this did not happen at higher speeds or major injuries could have occurred. 12 years seems too soon for this kind of undercarriage wear to have occurred. Car is scrap now but had been running well.
Constant problems with vehicle since time of purchase when it only had 500 miles & was supposed to be "new". It's the worst vehicle I've ever owned. I wouldn't recommend this headache to anyone!.
At highway speed vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. Dealer has inspected the vehicle. The vehicle has steering shimmy at 70 mph which occurs less when accelerating than when coasting.
Consumer was traveling about 40mph on the highway, and she noticed that car was shaking, and the engine check light came on the dashboard. Vehicle started stalling. Consumer veered over into the shoulders, and then she got the vehicle to start backing up.
Consumer states several months after purchasing the auto the check engine light has been one. The mechanic told consumer that one of the spark plugs were inoperative, which was then replaced, however 5-6 months later the light came back on. Consumer also states when she make a turn the auto feels as thought it is going to shut off. Also when the air condition is on, the auto vibrates.
