Three problems related to infant child seat harness buckle have been reported for the 1996 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The intergrated child saftey system setbelt locked, not allowing the belt to be pulled away from child. No accident occurred to cause the belt to lock. After the child was removed, by releasing the anchor clip, the belt began to function normally. This has occurred with both intergrated child safety seats in the vehicle.
Consumer could unbuckle the built-in car seat, but could not pull it out to release the child. Griffin motors has now placed extensions on harnesses and have not had any more problems to date.
Seat belt in seat locks up, trapping the child in the car seat, also belt tightens as child moves around.
