Front Seat Belt Anchorage problems of the 1997 Plymouth Voyager

Four problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 10/06/1999

My daughter (front, passenger) & I (driver) were in 2-car auto. Accident 10-06-99. Her seatbelt didn't restrain her; she struck her head twice (1-on windshield, 2-on dash). Airbag opened *after* she fell back in seat. Airbag & seatbelt operated defectivel.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 05/01/1998

Seatbelt failed multiple times after proper installation of 2 different types of child safety seats. In addition, seatbelt failed with normal repetitive use. Manufacturer denies problem. It is the middle bench seat right side.

3 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Seat belt do not hold car seats very stable.

4 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

I am writing about the failure of the gen saftey belts releasing unintentionally. Chrysler is refusing to replace the seat belts.
