I have a 97 Plymouth grand Voyager that I have had for 2 yrs. When I bought the van everything was working properly. For about a year now I have been having problems with the electrical system. First my cruise control stopped working, then my horn, now my blinkers only work sometimes and alot of times I have to turn on my bright lights for the blinkers to work. The airbag light is always on which means it is not functioning correctly. These are big problems with the wiring system and it is very expensive to have the whole thing rewired. My husband is a mechanic and he said it will cost over $1000 to have everything fixed correctly.
Consumer stated that air bags and horn did not work. She took vehicle to the mechanic, and was told that there was a recall on the air bags. But, consumer did not receive a recall notice. Also, rear view mirror did not work properly.
I purchased a vehicle in 1997 from a friend. All of a sudden my horn stopped working. I have replaed the fuses. I have checked all the wires. I have replaced the horn. Their is nothing wrong. I think the problem is where the airbag is behind the steering wheel. What do I do. I dont think that is my responsibility if their is a problem with the air bag is it?.

Clock sping component failed causing deactivation of air bag, horn, and cruise control. I believe this is a design defect and a safety issue and this part should be recalled and the manufacturer should repair free of charge to the consumer.
