Blown Head Gasket problems of the 1998 Plymouth Voyager

Four problems related to blown head gasket have been reported for the 1998 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 07/02/2004

Consumer noticed oil leaking from the engine. Vehicle was taken to a mechanic for an examination, and mechanic determined that the head gasket was blown.

2 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2002

Head gasket blow out at 44500 miles. Almost caught fire leaking on starter. No warning at all. Not unusual for this engine, is what I have heard from all mechanics I have spoken with.

3 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2001

Head gasket blewout while driving. When vehicle was taken into dealership was when consumer found out about head gasket blow out.

4 Blown Head Gasket problem

At 54,000 miles head gasket blewout which caused damage to engine. Please provide further information.
