Brake Electric Antilock problems of the 1999 Plymouth Voyager

Seven problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1999 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 01/28/2006

: the contact stated while driving 50mph brake pressure was applied and the vehicle had an increased stopping distance. The vehicle was inspected by an independent repair shop. The mechanic suggested replacing the antilock brake booster assembly. Although the problem persisted, no repairs were made.

2 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2001

Vehicle in reverse gear with foot on the brake when it suddenly accelerated backwards. Vehicle was stopped by two chain link fences. Dealer was notified and couldn't find cause.

3 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 12/12/2000

When applying brakes in a sudden/emergency stop vehicle experienced extended stopping distance. Vehicle had been to dealer on three occasions, and they were unable to duplicate the problem.

4 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2000

When pressing on the brakes van would jerk back and forth. Also, back door latch is getting hard to open.

5 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2000

Vehicle was full of water on the passenger's side. Roof has a hole inside of it, and when it rained, water leaked into the vehicle. Also, brakes are making a loud streaking noise.

6 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2000

Brakes have been replaced twice since vehicle was purchased. Stopping distance has increased, and there is a noise that comes from brakes. Contacted dealer, and dealer cannot figure out what caused it.

7 Brake Electric Antilock problem

Failure Date: 12/15/1999

Front end goes through too many brakes.
