I had just returned from a trip to branson, mo. When I got up the next morning to go to work the card would not shift gears. Therefore, I could only go 10 mph. I took the car the next day to my dealership for service expecting a free replacement since just six months before, I had had the same problem. The mileage the first time was 49384 and it occurred on Dec 10, 2001. The service dealership is frontier motor company at po box 430 in el reno, ok. Phone is 405-262-6433. I have always taken my car to them for service and maintenance. They say that the part is the sensor transmission input/output speed (part #4800879) at a cost of 146. 16 the first time and 114. 42 this second time. After discussing with the dealership that they should replace it free because obviously the first replacement was defective, the service department informed me that the part only carried a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty. I was 408 miles over. I believe Plymouth has a problem with this part.
