Warning Light On problems of the 1999 Plymouth Voyager

Four problems related to warning light on have been reported for the 1999 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/23/2006

: the contact stated while driving 30mph, the airbag warning light illuminated without any prior warning. Afterwards, the dash panel clock, radio, and heating defroster stopped working. The contact parked the vehicle and attempted to turn the engine off. The key would not release from the ignition and the engine continued running. After multiple attempts, the contact removed the battery cables from the battery and reattached them. The engine stopped running, but the clock and radio illuminated indicating normal function. Although the key remained in the ignition, the vehicle was not seen by a dealer.

2 Warning Light On problem

I own a 1999 Chrysler Plymouth Voyager minivan that appears to suffer from a defective clockspring. The horn and cruise control do not work. The airbag warning light stays lit as well. The VIN is 2p4fp25b1xr356299. The appropriate NHTSA odi# is ea 04-013.

3 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2004

After starting the ignition, the air bag warning light would stay illuminated. The cruise control and horn failed to work at times. The egr valve failed.

4 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 01/12/2004

When driving at any speed air bag warning light appeared. Consumer also heard rubbing, whistling noise when turning steering wheel. Dealer said that vehicle is ok to drive. Took vehicle to dealer regarding the air bag warning light, it was found out that clockspring was shorted. Clockspring was replaced by dealer. Consumer called daimlerchrysler and was told that there's no recall on clockspring on the vehicle.
